Woof

Sebastian shivers at the freezing breeze. It almost feels like tiny shards of ice hit him with every blast of air. But Sebastian was bracing the cold for a very good reason.
Only about five minutes ago, Sebastian knows he saw movement. Myra told him he was probably imaging things, but he knew better.
And that's the reason why he's outside, in the middle of a snow storm.
Sebastian covers his eyes as another frigid gust comes, shivering him to the bone. Just now, Sebastian was starting to get second thoughts about going outside in this weather.
I will look around a little more, them I'll go back inside. Sebastian thinks to himself, as he trys to see a little better in the snow. He walks around for another minute, but he finds nothing.
Then out of the corner of his eye, he sees more movement. Sebastian turns quickly, only to see something dart into a hole.
I knew something was out here. Sebastian thinks as he walks closer. But as he does, he hears a growl, a deep threatening growl. Sebastian stops, but takes a deep breath and walks closer.
Huddled in the hole, is a German Shepherd. But the problem was is that it was burned and bruised all over its body. Sebastian guesses it's from a abusive household.
Remembering how German Shepherds can be; angry and dangerous. Sebastian pulls his thick coat sleeve over his hand, and walks forward with his palm up.
"It's okay, I'm nice, I'm not going to hurt you." Sebastian says, trying to get the dog out of the whole. The dog growls once more, shying away from Sebastian. Sebastian sighs, but continues. "I'm a friend."
The dog looks up at Sebastian, eyes unblinking. It looks back down at Sebastian's hand, slowly coming out. Sebastian smiles as the dog brushes against his hand, softly.
"There we go, now come on. Let's get out of the storm." Sebastian says, standing up. The dog, limps closer to Sebastian, trying to get warm. But Sebastian notices that the dog can barely walk. So he reaches down and scoops up the dog, pulling it close to his chest.
The dog yelps in protest, but can't do anything about it. So it relaxes and curls against Sebastian.
Sebastian smiles, and walks back to his house, dog in arms. With a slight struggle, Sebastian manages to open the door and walk inside.
"I told you I saw something, Myra." Sebastian says, as soon as Myra walls over. She gasps when she sees what condition the dog is in.
"Sebastian, we should call the vet. That dog is not in any good condition." She scolds, but quiets down when Lilly walks over.
"Doggy!" The ten year old screams in delight. Lilly walks over, tugging on Sebastian's coat, begging for the dog to be placed on the ground. "Doggy! Doggy!"
Sebastian chuckles, lowering the dog to the ground. "Yes, Lilly. Doggy." He says, nodding at his small daughter.
Lilly hugs the dog, softly. "Can we keep him? Can we? Please?" Lilly says, begging with her normal puppy face. Sebastian looks over at Myra, whom sighs but nods. So Sebastian turns back to his daughter and nods. "Yay! What should we name him? I call Ruben!"
Myra shakes her head. "No, I think we should call him Victor. He looks like a Victor." She says, watching as Lilly pouts.
Sebastian chuckles, kneeling down to pet the dog. "How about we make a agreement and name him Ruvik?" He says. Lilly thinks for a second, but nods happily.
"Yeah, let's name him Ruvik!"
