I had a chance to sleep in but it was cut short when Shiloh ran into my room and jumped on my bed, “Wakie, wakie!” he yelled, giggle as he crawl onto of me and messed with my hair.
I groaned, bring my hands up to my face, “Ugh, Shiloh! You're a demon. I'm trying to sleep you little rodent.”
Shiloh stopped, “What is rodent?”
I grabbed him and pushed him down on the bed as I tickled him, “You're a rat.” I said, laughing with him. I tickled him a little more until he begged me to stop and I took him off my bed, “Now go away and let me sleep.” I said, going on my stomach and my head fell down on the pillow to finish my sleeping.
“Lady down there.” he said, pointing downstairs.“Sara?”
My hands balled into a tight fist and a curse word accidently escaped my mouth. Zoe doesn't like bad words around Shiloh because he likes to repeat people. What's does she want now? To criticize me more? My hands hit the pillow before I got up and grabbed my jacket to cover my arm. I slipped on some socks and went downstairs.
Sara was downstairs with her arms crossed. I saw some dresses on the couch and my eyebrow arched. She sighed, walking over to me. “Killian talked to me last night. I have decided to go much easier on you. He reminded me about the party you're going to with Alpha Lincoln and some of the pack members to Washington. Alpha Alaric lives in the city because he owns businesses there. He holds formal parties. Meaning long dresses and I thought I would bring some over.”
“I didn't know I needed a dress.” I said.
She shrugged, “A few Alpha's are rich and like to live extravagent. Goes against traditions to live simple lives but oh well. I don't live there. Anyways I have a dresses and I thought this could be our way of bonding.”
“Bonding?” I questioned.
“I love dresses. I don't have any daughters. Maybe that's why I'm tough on the girls my boys are gonna with. I try. . .I try to make them into what I would want in a daughter.” she said. “I should be extra kinder to you since you are Killian soulmate. He is my fourth child, I want him to be very happy.” She turned and picked up a ivory color dress, “Try this on.”
I stared at it for a moment before I took it and turned around. I stripped out my pants and shirt. I slid the dress on from over my head and I stucked in my stomach a little. Sara came behind me and zipped up the dress. It was a sweetheart strapped long dress and even though it was very pretty it just washed me out.
I turned around, “It's to long.” I said, looking down at the extra material.
“I can do alternations.” she said, waving off the problem. “Color doesn't suit your light complexion though. Here try this red one.”
The red one was more sultry. It had an open back and I felt very exposed since I couldn't wear a bra with it. Sara brought her finger up to her mouth as she thought and walked around me.
“No, won't do.” she said. She made me try on a black dress, a pink dress, and even a green dress. She pressed the last dress which was a champagne color dress against me, “Hm, maybe this will do.” she said, happy she was more focused on dressing me up then looking at my cut arm that I hope she won't notice and go back to Killian. The champange color dress was also a sweetheart dress but it had straps to hold the dress up. It covered my back and had a slit that dresses half way on my thigh. Sara grabbed my hair and twisted it into a bun, “Hmm, yes. This is it. Makesure you get your hair done up. You'll be stunning.”

When I arrived to school I knew I would see Killian until lunch since he was gonna wait until his parents left on the plane so he could say goodbye. I walking near the school building when Emily arrived on the bus. She pushed people out her way as she came over to me and hugged me tightly.
“You're alright.” she said happily.
I smiled down at her, “After friday I can say the same.”
She stepped back, “I've been having nightmares.” she said, making me frown. I felt terrible she was just thrown into all of this since it doesnt seem fair for her.
“I never wanted that to happen, Emily.” I said. “I didn't know that was happening.”
“It's alright, Mat. I don't blame you. I feel like I understand you again now though.” she said. “I can understand why you been so distant.”
“I promised to always keep the secret. You can't tell anyone Emily or you'll be in big trouble.” I said.
She brought her hand up to her chest, “It'll follow me to my grave. I promise.”
“Good. Thank you.” I said. “Also whatever may happen to me in the future—stay out of it. It's not to just keep you out but because of your safety.”
“I don't understand.” she said, her eyebrows coming together.
“There's always some drama in the pack.” I said.
Elliot and some of his friends in the pack walked by with a snotty look on his face as they looked at Emily and called her 'damn human'. My mouth pressed together roughly and I bared my teeth at him. He breathed out his nose heavily as he continued into the building.
Emily sighed, “Elliot always been a bully.”
“Can't stand that boy.” I said, annoyed. “I thought Marco was bad but they all get worse every years.”
Blue came up behind me and I smelt her before she put her arm around me, “Hey cuz. Heard you offically met Killian parents. How'd that go? Meeting high ranking parents in the pack are always tough.”
“It went. All I have to say.” I said and she nodded, understanding. I sighed as I stepped out of her arm and she looked confused. “Look you two are very imporant to me. Emily, you will always be my little sister and I want you in my life. Blue you were the first to expect me into the group and first to meet in my family I thought I'll never meet. I need you two to get along with each other. I can't have you both fighting.”
Blue breathed heavily out her nose, “But Mat—you need to let go of your human life. You're not one of them anymore.”
“I don't care.” I said. She looked taken back by that and scoffed. “We're cousins and you should be able to do this for me. Emily is very imporant to me and now that it's open to her I won't push her away anymore.”
“Humans don't belong in our world. Only imporant ones like doctors and laywers. You know this, Mat. Alpha Lincoln would want her to stay out of our business and—“
I walked towards her and got very close, “Tell Alpha Lincoln, I don't care.”
Her look turned cold, “That's my future father in law, Mat. Watch it.”
“I'm in enough trouble with him. What else can go wrong?” I asked, shrugging my right shoulder as I stepped back. I grabbed Emily arm and turned her before we headed into school.
“Mat, please.” Blue begged behind me but I kept walking. I felt betrayed by her because she couldn't even do this one thing for me.
I said goodbye to Emily when time was coming for class and made my way to the senior hallway. I saw Nate and Will in a heated converstation across the hall. I stopped at my locker and opened it. Will grabbed Will by his shoulder and slammed him into the wall. Nate pushed Will away and tackled him to the ground. I dropped my books and ran over to them. I pushed pass the crowding people and I pulled Will off Nate.
“If anything happens I will get you Summers!” Will yelled, kicking at Nate and I pulled him further away.
Teachers came over and told both boys to go to the principle office. Nate cursed and will rolled his eyes. Will stared down at me for a second and I looked away. He snorted and went down the hallway first. Nate rubbed the blood coming from his nose, “He saw you.”
“I know but he doesn't know everything.” I said, sighing heavily. “Did he say if he told anyone?”
“He hasn't yet.” he said. “I gotta go.” he said before leaving.

When Killian showed up at lunch I was happy. Will had apparently lift school according to Marco and decided just to continue to go look for Melinda. Nate was far away so it would look to weird that we suddenly started hanging out. Killian brought food with him from Wendy's and he was trying to get me to eat.
“You been stressed, Mat. Maybe you should eat.” he said, holding the burger out to me.
“Not very hungry, Killian.” I said. I brought my hand up to his head and ran my hand down his cheek, “Thanks for caring though.”
“I'll always care.” he said. “I'll feel more relaxed if I knew you ate.” he said. He lowered his voice, “With yesterday—you shouldn't resolve to things like harming yourself.”
“It was an accident.” I said and he rolled his eyes.
He grabbed my wrist, “Where'd this cuff bracelet come from?”
“It was Devin. I took it so it'll cover it.” I said, pulling my wrist away. “Killian I'll never do it again. I promise. It was a stupid mistake.”
He took my hand and his thumb rubbed against mine, “Please don't. It never has to resolve to that.”
I opened my mouth to agree but I heard something. My ears perked even in the loud cafeteria, Maybe because the window was open and I was able to hear clearier but I swear I heard Emily.
Mat, help.
I quickly jumped up from the table and some of the pack kids looked at me surprised. I or no one else smelled a wild rogue. I looked around them and noticed some kids missing. Where's Elliot and his two friends?
My teeth bared, “Elliot.” I growled as I walked away. I left the cafeteria and hurried over towards the freshmen hallway. My hands kept balling in and out of a fist as I walked. I sniffed the air to find him and I went down a staircase since that was the way to the art room. Emily sometimes spent in there since she loves to draw and art was her favorite.
I opened the door room and found the three boys taunting her. She was kneeling on the floor with hers around her legs and the boys circled her.
“Hey!” I yelled at them and they turned to look at me.
Elliot chuckled and he picked up the red paint bottle. My mouth dropped and I knew he wouldn't—he wouldn't! I shook my head but his grin widen before he poured the red paint all over Emily. Him and his friends laughed and I breathed heavily.
Killian, Blue, and Marco came over. They were surprised and Killian tried grabbing me but I ran over towards Elliot. My eyes burned neon yellow as I lunged ontop of him and he fell to the ground. I bared my teeth at him and punched him in the face. I got up and slammed him against the wall. I punched him in the stomach and grabbed his head but he chuckled threw the pain, “It's all worth it.”
My other hand wrapped around his throat and it started to tighten, “Mat.” Killian said behind me.
I turned my head around and I saw Blue and Marco holding the two boys.
“We don't hurt pack members.” Killian said.
“Yeah? Well you don't miss with my family.” I said as I moved my hand. I held roughly to Elliot head and walked over to the gas oven in the room they used when making pottery. I turned on the stove high and brought his face real close to it, “I have warned you about missing with her, Elliot!”
He seemed to have a hard time speaking as he stared at the fire, “Ma-Mat! We were only joking around!”
“A joke?” I yelled. “Look at her, she's crying! I have warned you plently of times Elliot and you thought I was joking. I'm tired of you and your friends bullshit. Leave humans alone! How hard is that?”
“I-I'm sorry! I won't do it again. Promise!” he said, sweating forming from his head.
“It's not me you should be apologizing.” I growled as I brought his head down a little further. He cried in pain even though he wasn't touch it but I'm sure he can feel that heat.
His head turned slightly, “Ah! Emily—Emily, I'm sorry!I'm very sorry! Please, Mat! It's hurts!"
I growled and rolled my eyes. I pulled him away and made him fall on his back. He groaned since he hit his head but he brought his hand up to the left side of his face as he breathed heavily in pain.
My pointed my finger at him, “Don't test me again, Elliot. I'm a Redblood, we're not afriad of anything.” I said before walking over to Emily who was crying. Killian breathed heavily out his nose and Marco gave me a hard look. Blue and Marco let go of Elliot friends. They helped Elliot up and they left the art room.
“You could have seriously hurt him, Mat.” Marco said coldly as he walked over.
“Look what he did to her! Do you not see they're scared her and pour paint all over her?” I asked coldly. “Little asshole deserved it.”
“He's a pack member, you don't—”
I quickly stood up and got in his face, “Screw pack rules!” I said, my eyes burning and he gasped. I'm tired of all of this pack rules! I will hurt many pack members if they hurt the people I love! I'm tired of their rules and I rather break them. “Hurt the people I love, I hurt you. You think you scare me, Marco? You're wrong!”
“Did her eyes just change color?” Blue asked behind Marco.
“What?” I coldly said. “What the hell are you talking about?”
“Oh God.” Marco breathed heavily out. “My dad is not going to like this."
I stepped back, “What's color are they?”
Killian walked over and grabbed my arm, “Their amber around the pupil and the rest is sapphire blue.”
I scoffed, “Well what does that mean? Why are they like this? We all have yellow eyes.”
Killian licked his lips and sighed, “Packs in the old days—the leaders had that eye color. It makes them stick out from the rest of the pack. It shows their the strongest, bravest, and couragest. After we went into hiding and we learned how to change our ways their eye colors changed since they could longer be themselves. It does happen still to this day that other wolves eyes can change, you're not the first case. It's rare though. But it means the Alpha blood in you is the strongest.”
“Sooo?”
Marco pushed Killian away, “It means you're wild! You're not afriad to kill or anything. Look what you just did to Elliot! But unlike the wilds these days you have more control. Also—any pack you want you can take with a fight. Wolves are gonna be scared of you Mat if they know this but it also means you have a target on your neck for people wanting to get rid of you.”
I brought my hands up to my face and covered my face, “Ugh this can not be happening!”
