Shiro

I galloped through the grass and head to the canyons. Lance Allura Coran and Hunk behind me. Pidge was flying above.
"Over here!"
She swoops down taking a right turn. I skid taking a sharp right. A giant tree trunk was ahead. Slowing my pace when I heard grunting. A rope was caught.
"Keith!?"

"Shiro?"
Relief hits me. He's alright.
"Are you hurt?!"
I yell over.
"Coyotes came around and bit my leg!"

"Ok we're gonna eat you out of there?!"

"WE!? Who's 'we'? Who else is with you? SHIRO?!"
He screamed out in panic. His anxiety is picking up.
"Keith calm down they just want to help!"

I back up for running start and jump over the large tree trunk and turn to face my brother. His hind leg was bleeding. He was dangling his side on the rough bark of the tree trunk. Lance and Allura jump over. Lance side steps into the trunk allowing Allura to stand on his back to chop the rope with a knife.
Keith drops to the dusty ground. I pull him up to his feet. He moves to my side and leaned against my back to keep off his bad leg. Allura gets off Lance and walks over to us. Her white hair was pulled back into a bun. She was really pretty. She touched Keith's furry side and trailed back and down his thigh. She picks up his hoof. His body shifts and forced it back down. I can feel his heart beating against my back, fast and hard in his chest. His eyes stay glued on the human girl.
I reach and pat his head, smoothing his hair down to calm him.
"The bite isn't severe. It should heal."
She said and pats the top of his rear.
"How do we get him over?" Lance asked

"Can you jump?"
I ask. He shrugged.

"Coran send over the kit!"
Pidge flew the kit over. Allura opens it taking things out.
"It will sting but please don't kick me."
She pours a clear liquid over the bite wound. Keith whines buried his face into his arms.
"I'm Lance. So you're both the leader's kids I'm guessing."

"The chiefs kids yes. This is Keith he's younger."
Keith looks up with a scowl on his face and deadly glare in his violet eyes.
"He's a grumpy pony." Lance teased.

"I'm not a damn pony. Quit being a foal."

"I'm not a foal!"
Lance yells back.
Keith rolled his eyes and stay quiet. Allura finished and packs everything up.
"T-thanks? I guess?"
Keith said getting off my back.
"You tried capturing us for a reason. Why?"
I asked.

"I'll explain once we him back to the stables."
She said mounting on to Lance's back.

Keith pov

I trot around the post and pull at the rope that restraints my hands. What is it with humans and rope? Do they have to take every wild thing and tie it up?
I sat down and bite at the rough material.
"Will you ever give up?"
Lance shouts at me.
"Shut up!"
I yell at him and continue attempting to get the rope off my wrist.
Shiro was in a smell pen. He seems more relaxed.
The human girl walked over to him and started speaking. She opens the gate letting him out. He follows her. Why is he following? They come to me. I groan.
"Keith we're gonna help them."
Shiro said.
"Help? What help?"

"This barn is going to be shut down if we can't come up with enough money to keep it running. We need to win rodeos and get people to come here to learn how to ride."

"So you want people to sit on my back and order me around with more rope? Nuh Uh! Nope! I'm not going there again!"

"Keith even if you get free you won't be able to catch up to the herd. They're two days ahead."
Shiro said. I pull at the ropes.

"You guys were tamed once?" Allura asked.

I huff and stare at my hands.
"We were forced into it. We didn't have a choice. Adapt or die," Shiro started explaining
"When we were born into slavery. The place worked us all day and nearly all night. One meal a day. We were separated from our mothers. They made us foals run 5 hours straight. Then a bunch of mares escaped. In the end they stared experimenting on us. Giving us a drug or taking an arm. We planed a way out. There was a storm and the burn went up in flames, Keith and I got out and our dad took us in."
Shiro said.

"we were slaves. I'm not letting anyone sit on me or try any more of that shit on me again!" I glare at the human.

"They will treat us differently this time Keith. they aren't like the other humans" my brother said "Please?" he begged, his eye dilated.

"No!"

He sat down and hugged my waist staring up at me. I look away. 

"Pwetty pwease Otono (Little brother)" He said in his baby voice. i bite my lip and look down to the stallion hanging on me. I tilt my head to the left then the right Letting out a loud groan and having my head lean back so I'm looking at the sky.

Shiro Laughed and got off. "Always works. We'll help"

"thank you We'll treat you well." the human said and untied the ropes. I rub my wrists.

"We have a rodeo in Three weeks so we'll get started tomorrow. Lance can show you around." she said she lets out a whistle.

Lance's head shot up and he trots over. "What's up?"

"Can you show them around a bit?" 

"sure thing Allura. Lets start by the rabbit coop." Lance said. We follow him.
