Unexpected Rescue

"Ugh, what the-"

Jack broke off mid sentence when he woke up to find himself staring at a familiar face.

Billy.

"Good to see you're finally awake and speak English instead of that screaming gibberish, it was so annoying." Billy giggled creepily.

"Do you ever shut up?" Jack groaned as he rubbed his face with his hands. This wasn't the first time he had been captured by Billy, so at this point he felt irritated if anything.

Until he remembered that there was no one left to save him since Anti was the new leader of Bossatronia.

"What do you want?" Jack demanded as he sat up, glancing around his surroundings.

The walls and floor were made of a dark gray metal much unlike Billy's ship, meaning that he was on a Dalek ship. He was laying on the floor, the cool metal chilling his back. He was changed out of his t-shirt and jeans and was now wearing a bright orange jumpsuit that felt itchy and uncomfortable.

"Oh nothing much, except for you to promise that you will never return to Bossatronia." Billy grinned.

"Why the hell would I promise you that?" Jack spat vehemently.

"I'll torture and kill you." Billy shrugged casually.

"Go on ahead, but know that when the Engineer shows up, and I know he will, you'll be begging for mercy and wishing you were dead instead." Jack snarled.

"You really think he'll save you after what you said to him?" Billy laughed.

"How the hell do you know what I said?" Jack growled.

"Using your own creation the septic spies. They're quite handy actually." Billy admitted.

"IS THE BOSSATRON AWAKE?" A shiny red Dalek entered the room, its eyestalk swiveling around until it fixated onto Jack.

Jack felt his heart stop as he held his breath, waiting for the Dalek to attack.

It never did.

Instead, the Dalek rolled over to be beside Billy, the blue light on the end of its eyestalks watching Jack.

"YOU WILL BE EXTERMINATED IF YOU DO NOT COOPERATE!" The Dalek yelled.

"Then go ahead." Jack spread his arms out from his side, bracing himself.

"No, we can learn so much from him." Billy intervened.

"He has developed plans for new weapons." Billy continued.

Jack knew exactly what Billy was referring to. The septic spray that can melt through anything, even Daleks, in a matter of seconds, as well as a super strong glove that Jack fondly nicknamed "high fives all around".

They were being built when Jack's parents were alive, apparently the plans for them were hidden and the prototypes were scrapped when they died and Jack left.

"Where are the plans?" Billy knelt down in front of Jack so he could stare into Jack's eyes.

"I don't know." Jack admitted with a shrug.

Billy reacted by smashing his fist into Jack's right cheek, the force of it causing his head to snap to the other side and nearly make him fall over since he wasn't prepared.

"I'm telling the truth for once!" Jack argued, gently massaging his sore cheek with his hand while he glared at Billy.

"Billy, we've detected an unusual heat signature in the engine room!" One of Billy's clones sprinted into the room.

"Thank you clone two hundred and three." Billy waved his hand in dismissal, shooting Jack one last glare before he stormed out of the room with the Dalek in tow.

Jack stood up and began pacing around the room, already knowing that it was the Engineer here to save him.

"Hello? Anyone in here?"

Jack heard a male British voice speak from outside of his cell.

"Hello?" Jack responded hesitantly.

"Ah, hi there! I'm a prisoner too, although I got out of the jumpsuit. I didn't know the Daleks already had a prisoner." The person continued.

Jack jumped slightly in alarm when the door slid open to reveal a man dressed in a tweed jacket with a red bow tie and forest green eyes that glinted with mischief.

"I'm the Doctor, I'd suggest you follow me if you don't want to get blown to bits." The Doctor grabbed Jack's hand before Jack could protest and took off at a run down the corridor.

Daleks and Billy clones alike were shooting lasers everywhere around them, several coming close to hitting Jack before the Doctor dragged Jack into the engine room and slammed the doors shut behind them.

Jack spotted a dark blue, scuffed up police box in the corner of the room and instantly realized what the Doctor was.

"You're a time lord, aren't you?" Jack questioned as the Doctor swung the doors of the box open.

"I'm surprised you know my kind. Bossatron, correct? Rather that or you're just a human that dyed their hair green and likes to scream a lot." The Doctor countered as he pulled Jack inside and started racing around the center control panel.

He reminded Jack of the Engineer.

"Yeah I'm a Bossatron, but I thought there was only one time lord left." Jack frowned in confusion.

"There is, it's only me." The Doctor glanced up briefly at Jack before returning his gaze to the control panel.

"No, I have a friend. He's called the Engineer, and he's a time lord." Jack shook his head.

"Impossible." The Doctor suddenly stopped in front of Jack, his eyes filled with a combination of remorse and fury.

"I killed them all." The Doctor whispered before turning away.

"He has an arcade machine TARDIS that's a type forty and a red sonic screwdriver." Jack blurted.

"He may have been alive once, but he's not anymore." The Doctor protested fiercely.

"Why don't you have a companion?" Jack changed the subject, knowing that no matter what he said that he wouldn't win the argument.

He was even stubborn like the Engineer.

"I travel alone now." The Doctor absent mindlessly fiddled with a switch on the control panel.

"Where are you taking me?" Jack glanced over the Doctor's shoulder.

"Back to your home." The Doctor stated.

"I can't go back to Bossatronia." Jack vigorously shook his head.

"I can't take you with me." The Doctor pointed out.

"Drop me off on Earth, in Ireland." Jack pleaded.

The Doctor shot him a questioning glance, but said nothing as Jack gave him his address.

As soon as they landed, Jack ran out of the doors to find Robin, Signe, and the Engineer standing by the Engineer's TARDIS.

"Jack!" Signe ran towards him and around her arms around him in a tight hug.

The Doctor started to close the doors to leave, but froze when he saw the Engineer.

"You." He whispered in shock.

"Me." The Engineer replied with a sad smile.

"It's been awhile Doctor."
