Who's ready for some cute Jicheol moments? I hope you are cause this chapter is brimming with cheeeeeese. I hope that you enjoy it!
Seungcheol stares through the window of the Pinwheel Cafe. His eyes are locked on a barista manning the cash register. He's been standing here for a while, not sure if he should go in or not. He wasn't even planning on coming to the human world, but Jeonghan had urged him to, saying that it wasn't like he was doing anything else back at the society. Seungcheol couldn't argue with that and had decided that he might as well take a trip out there. Now that he is out here, he can't help but feel like this is a bad idea. Jihoon is working. He is probably busy and doesn't want to spend time with him. He should just leave. Seungcheol starts to walk away, but stops himself before he can. He glances at Jihoon again, who has a soft smile on his face as he takes a customer's order. Seungcheol sighs, he came all this way. He can't just turn back without at least saying hi. He'll leave after greeting the human. Yeah, that'll be fine. He won't be bothering Jihoon if he just pops in for a second. Seungcheol takes a deep breath before walking into the cafe and approaching the counter. "Hello, welcome to Pinwheel Cafe, what can I get for you?" Jihoon chirps, his eyes focused on the screen of the register and not the customer.
"Hi," Seungcheol says.
Jihoon immediately looks up and his eyes widen, "Seungcheol? What are you doing here?"
"I was walking by and I saw you," Seungcheol says, "I wanted to say hello...so...uh...hello..." The vampire flashes Jihoon a nervous smile, cursing at himself for sounding so timid. "Hi," Jihoon says with a smile of his own, "Do you want something to drink? It's on the house."
"Oh, I couldn't," Seungcheol says, "I actually need to go."
"Already?" Jihoon says in a disappointed tone, "I was actually going to take my break soon. We could've hung out for a bit." Seungcheol's eyes widen at his words. Jihoon wants to hang out with him. Calm down, he thinks, don't overthink this. "In that case...I would love a drink," Seungcheol says.

"That's a wonderful dream," Seungcheol says. The two sit on one of the tables within the cafe. It's fairly quiet even though it's midday. Only a couple people have come in and only one college student is sitting, studying at one of the other tables. "You think so?" Jihoon asks. Seungcheol nods. The two have been talking for a while. It started with their likes and quickly moved on to their dreams. "You're an amazing singer," Seungcheol says.
"You haven't even heard me sing," Jihoon states, "How would you know?"
"I just do," Seungcheol says, "You have a nice voice, Jihoon."
The human blushes, "Thanks..."
"If that's your dream...why are you working here?" Seungcheol questions.
"Ah, well, music is not exactly an easy industry to make it in," Jihoon says, "I haven't gotten to play many gigs and cause of that I haven't been recognized by any label. I need money, so thus my career as a barista."
Seungcheol nods, "I'm sure you'll get there. One day...you'll be performing in front of thousands and have millions of fans all over the world."
"I don't know about that," Jihoon says, "But it's a nice thought."
"I believe in you," Seungcheol says, "I'll be your very first fan."
Jihoon laughs, "I appreciate it."
"I should probably get an autograph now," Seungcheol says, pretending to search around for a pen and paper.
Jihoon shakes his head, "Stop it."
"Why? I'm in the presence of Lee Jihoon! Future superstar!" Seungcheol exclaims. The other people in the cafe look at the two, making Jihoon all flustered. He pokes Seungcheol's arm, "Everyone's staring now! Why are you so loud?"
Seungcheol smiles, "I'm just a passionate fan!"
"You're ridiculous," Jihoon tuts, "I wish everyone believed in me as much as you are."
"Do your parents not support you?" Seungcheol asks.
Jihoon shrugs, "It's not that they don't. It's more so that they wanted me to go into the same field as them. They are stuck in that whole son has to have the same job as the father thing. It's very traditional. They were upset when I told them I was majoring in music and not business, but they got over it. Seokmin is in business now, so they let me off the hook. They still worry though. They don't think that I'll make it and it scares them. They're worried for my health and well-being. They can only do so much for me when I'm here in Seoul and they're all the way in Busan."
"I don't think they have anything to worry about," Seungcheol says, "I've only met you recently and I think that you can handle yourself pretty well."
"Yup," Jihoon says, "See these arms, Seungcheol. They're pure muscle." Seungcheol watches as Jihoon starts to flaunt his arms. The vampire can see the taunt muscles along the human's body. Jihoon isn't lying. He is rather built regardless of his small stature. The human can definitely handle himself. Jihoon lowers his arms after a couple more seconds of flexing, feeling a bit self-conscious now, "Anyway...what about you? What are your dreams?"
"Dream?" Seungcheol echoes, "I don't know..."
"Really?" Jihoon asks.
"I never really thought about my dreams," Seungcheol murmurs, "I'm my father's heir. I can't be anything else. I can't dream of being anything else."
"I disagree," Jihoon says, "You can always dream. Even when the odds are against you and the whole world is telling you not to, you still dream. You hope for something. You wish for something. You imagine something for yourself. It's all a dream. And I'm sure you have one...a beautiful little figmint of what could be." Seungcheol doesn't know what to say after Jihoon speaks. He's never felt like someone that could dream. His parents have always made it clear that dreaming is silly for someone in his position. What would the crown prince of the vampires dream of? He's already in a spot that people dream of being in. Isn't it selfish for him to want more? But, a dream isn't that. Is it? It's your goal. Your desire. Something that drives you to keep going. Even the ones that have everything can still dream. "A dream..." Seungcheol mutters, "I want a dream..."
"You'll find one," Jihoon says, "I know you will." Seungcheol stares at the human, wondering how someone like him can even exist. He takes everything Seungcheol thinks he knows and flips it upside down. Jihoon reminds Seungcheol of a spark. Something that once ignited is a stunning flare of light but can burn if it touches you. But, even if you know it may sting, you still reach for it because you want to keep that beautiful light close cause it warms you. "Oh, I need to get back to work," Jihoon says, "It was nice talking to you, Seungcheol. I'll see you soon."
"Is it okay if I stay?" Seungcheol asks.
"Sure," Jihoon says, "Why?"
"I was hoping to hang out with you more whenever your shift ends," Seungcheol says, a bit bashful.
Jihoon's eyes widen, "Really? I don't get off until six."
"I can wait," Seungcheol says, "I don't mind if I get to spend more time with you."

Seungcheol stayed. Even as the hours went by, he stayed. Jihoon had though that he would come over after a couple of hours saying that he had to leave, but he didn't. Seungcheol sat in the same seat for hours, waiting for him. Jihoon felt a bit guilty for making the man wait like this, but it's not like he could kick him out. When Jihoon's shift ended, he rushed into the back to grab his stuff. He found his phone flooded with messages from his parents. He read one message before deciding to ignore the rest. He doesn't know how his parents found out, but he really isn't in the mood to argue with them about him talking to Seungcheol. He knows his parents are against him being in relationships in general, but it's not like anything is going to happen between Seungcheol and him. Sure, he's pretty hot, but that doesn't mean Jihoon is going to pounce on him like some vixen. He's a good guy that Jihoon enjoys talking to, but that doesn't mean he's going to propose. Right now, Seungcheol is Jihoon's friend. And if that develops into something, it develops into something. Of course, Jihoon wouldn't mind if it does, but he wouldn't admit that anytime soon. Jihoon shoves his phone into his pocket before slipping off his apron and hanging it on the side wall. He grabs his keys and other belongings before walking back outside. He approaches Seungcheol, who looks back at him with a smile. "You all done?" Seungcheol asks.
Jihoon nods, "What do you want to do?"
What do you think? It's a very sweet and fluffy chapter. It's sort of surprising since I don't often write very fluffy Jicheol things. Don't get used to it though...there's still a lot to come and I can't promise that it'll be that fluffy. I hope that you enjoyed this chapter and will tune in for the next one.
