Prologue

Selyse knew her actions would have consequences for she fell in the trap of lust, and lost her maidenhead. She had failed her father, her house, her future husband but most of all she failed herself all because she could not turn down the pleasure she was receiving.

The worst part was the man would walk by her without a glance, and they never spoke again. He had used her and now her life and future were ruined.

Her father had disowned the girl, he said he had no wish to have a daughter that would ruin his reputation. And to cover it up he said the knight had forced himself upon his daughter, and sent him to the wall. He was going to do worse but Lysea had begged him not too, so he didn't because of the soft spot he had for her.

The King, her father, herself, the knight and the Queen was the ones that knew the truth. The King and Queen took her in with open arms, they took her in as their daughters handmaiden.

And as the years went on she realized she was glad all that had happened, though her future was ruined she was happy. Rhaenyra and her were inseparable the two would do everything together, they would sneak a drink of wine from the king and queens glass, They would ride Syrax together, they would often sleep in the same bed from gossiping until they fell asleep.

She was with the princess through everything, to the loss of her siblings, the coming of Alicent and their fights, her mother and brothers death, the weight of being named heir, Alicent being married to the king, Rhaenyra herself being married, and the birth of her children who Lysea took care of as if they were her own.

She helped Rhaenyra through everything, she soon grew to love the woman. Of course she didn't share the feelings to the princess, she knew it wasn't right so she accepted it and got over her. - no she didn't-

The death of her lover Ser Harwin was the most unexpected, Rhaenyra would sometimes come to the Baratheons chambers and cry. She would hold the princess until she fell asleep.

When they left for Dragon Stone everything changed, Rhaenyra and Lysea had gotten closer then they ever had been. They had shared moments they probably shouldn't have, but they had no regrets.

When Rhaenyra's cousin Lady Leaena died, her father had wrote her saying he had a wedding pact for her. She of course excepted it without knowing who to get back on her fathers side since this was the first time they talked since she was sent away.

But the who would change everything...
