" I have a suitor." Lysea said causing Rhaenyra to fall silent, she laughed it off and shook her head thinking the Baratheon was joking. When she realized she wasn't Rhaenyra's face paled, they both knew this day would come, but neither wanted to think about it so they pushed the thought away. But here it stood in front of them at the worst possible time.
Never in her life had Lysea imagined falling for a girl, let alone that girl being the heir to the Iron Throne. The first few years of their time together was torture for the Baratheon, she just wanted to go home. After the night Rhaenyra's had with Daemon that she became jealous and in that moment she knew she loved the princess, the young princess had become her home.
They had been together all throughout the hard times of both their lives, and now Lysea was being shipped off to her husband that she doesn't even know.
" we knew this day would come." Rhaenyra said her with a small smile, but it was fake. Little Joffrey in her hands began to cry as if he felt their pain. Lysea scoffed out a laugh and ran a hand through her hair, she couldn't believe this was actually happening. She thought she would serve the princess until one of them died. Her father told her she could never marry because of her condition, what could've changed his mind.
" this could ruin my family's reputation, why would he do this." She whispered to her self as Rhaenyra rocked her child back to sleep. " Lord Borros would not have agreed to this marriage if he thought it would ruin his reputation, my love." The princess pointed out while putting her sleeping child in his crib.
Lysea sighed and looked down, she was not ready to leave the silver haired woman; she wouldn't ever be. "we both knew that this would end and we would go our separate ways." They both knew that but neither of them wanted to, they wanted to live alongside each other all their lives. " Nyra, I don't wanna leave you."
" I don't want you to either." The two spoke through tears but held them back, Rhaenyra held the Baratheon's face in her hands and they shared one of their last kisses. Or so they thought.
When Rhaenyra pulled away and sighed. " we leave for Driftmark today, are you ready to face your father?" The Baratheon woman shook her head in response before smirking. " are you ready to face Daemon?" The Princess started to blush before turing away, a wide smile appeared on both their faces.

"We join today at the salt of the sea to commit the lady Leana of House Velaryon to the eternal waters, the dominion of the Merling King. Where he will guard her for all the days to come." Luke stood in-between Lysea and Rhaenyra while they watched their cousins funeral.
"As she sets to sea for her final voyage, the lady Laena leaves two true-born daughters on the shore. Though their mother will not return from her voyage, they will remain bound together in blood." Vaemond turns toward Rhaenyra and her children, Lysea sent a glare his way but her fathers hand grabbing hers made her stop.
"Salt courses through Velaryon blood, ours runs thick." He was obviously questioning their legitimacy, Lysea quietly scoffed, her fathers hand tightened around hers but Rhaenyra just smirked at her lover. "Ours runs true, and ours must never thin." Vaemond was interrupted by Daemon laughing, Lysea appreciated the attention he was taking off of the princess and her family.
They began to pull at the ropes of Leana's casket as Vaemond continues to speak, "my gentle niece, may the winds be as strong as your back, your seas as calm as your sprit, and your nets be as full as your heart. From the sea we came, to the sea we shall return." As Vaemond finshed his sentence, Laena's casket fell in the ocean.
The family and friends joined back up outside the castle, eating and fellowshipping. Lysea stood of in a corner with her father as they spoke of her soon to be husband. " father I don't believe this is the place nor the time." She asked looking around seeing if anyone was listening, but they were to engulfed in the gossip people were reeling them.
" yes well it is the only time we were sure you'd be in the same room." Her eyes widen at her fathers word and she once again looked around, her eyes locked with Daemon who's eyes were already on her, the king beside him smiled at her and she thought she'd be sick.
" it is not Daemon father, please tell me it's not him!" A few heads turn as she begged, she sighed and lowered her voice for the next part " I can't marry him he's a murderer, and he just lost his wife." Borros shook his head with a stern look, that look scared her it was the same one he had on the day he sent her away.
" you will do this for the good of your house, you almost ruined our reputation once don't do it again." He scolded before walking her towards him. " now go meet your soon to be husband."
" Your grace." She said with a cutesy, before Turing to Daemon. " my prince." He nodded at her but the look on his face told her he was not happy, and neither was she but she just wanted to be back on her fathers good side.
" why don't you guys take a walk." The king requested but it sounded more like a demand. Lysea nodded and looked to Daemon who hesitated but nodded as well.
The two walked the beach in silence most of the time until Lysea stopped walking causing him to as well. "Neither of us want this, but I have a solution." He nods telling her to continue. "we both love Rhaenyra, multiple of your ancestors had more than one wife." Lysea shrugged and suggested " why can't you?"
" Rhaenyra has a husband." He spoke causing her to smirk. " he has barely said a word since finding out..." she trailed of when she noticed the change in his reaction. " he would be better off dead, it would save him the grief." Lysea said playing with her rings, a nervous habit she picked up from Rhaenyra.
Lysea loved her cousin but this was the only way they both could be happy together. " you have no need of an heir so we wouldn't have to consummate our marriage."
" you are a smart one." He spoke sending her a smirk, and they continued their walk until Rhaenyra caught up to them. Lysea told her if the news and informed her of the plan the princess seemed shocked at first, but in the end she would be marrying the two people she's wanted the most so she agreed.
