"YOU look stunning," Nathaniel commented as he took in the outfit on his wife. Marinette did not like it though. She thought it was too revealing and she felt uncomfortable. She felt that her breasts were too exposed and that the split was a bit too high. "Everyone at the party will look at you and be immediately captivated by you."

She knew he was just saying that now. Once people started to look at her, especially men, he would immediately accuse her of being whore that was trying to attract horny men. She knew that if she informed Nathaniel about her distaste for the dress, he'd hit her for being ungrateful. Then he'd talk about how much he spent on said dress.

He kissed her cheek and led her to the limousine parked outside the mansion. He helped her into the limousine before entering and telling the driver to head out. Marinette watched as Nathaniel pulled out his phone and busied himself with it. She let out a sigh and turned to look out the window.

All she saw were trees, trees and more trees. When she had first married Nathaniel, she found it weird that he chose to live in a practical wasteland. After being married to him for four years, she now understood why. It was so no one could hear her screams as he did as he pleased with her.

It takes an hour or so from the mansion to get to the city, so it would be almost impossible for her to escape. She hugged herself as she thought about her 'relationship' with a monster.

The hairs on her skin stood up as Nathaniel ended his call and scooted closer to her. A shiver went down her spine when she felt his lips brush her neck. He started to plant rough, wet kisses on her neck causing her to move away.

"N-Nathaniel, n-no," She stuttered out. Nathaniel growled before gripping her arms and dragging her to him. "P-please."

"Your body belongs to me, Marinette. I don't want to have to remind you of that again," He whispered into her ear harshly, turning her head forcefully so he could kiss her.

Marinette whimpered into the rough kiss, trying to pull away only for him to bite down on her lip, pulling it into his mouth. The bluenette cried out when she felt his teeth pierce her lip. Tears welled up in her eyes.

Suddenly, Nathaniel's phone rang, causing him to pull away from Marinette with a groan. She watched as Nathaniel pulled out his phone and answered it, wiping her blood away from her cut lip. She opened her clutch and cleaned the cut on her lip before re-applying her red lipstick to conceal the cut.

"What?!" Nathaniel answered the phone. After a while the anger on his face was replaced with shock. "He's going to be there? That's a first! Of course I'll get him to partner with me."

Marinette did not care for the conversation Nathaniel was having with whosoever over the phone, so she tuned him out and turned to the window once more, trying to fight back her tears. She was tired of this one sided relationship. It was draining her and she didn't think she could last much longer. Four painful years were enough.

Nathaniel spent basically the entire drive talking to someone on the phone and Marinette was glad for that because he didn't try to force himself on her.

"We are here, sir," The voice of the chauffeur came through one of the speakers, pulling Marinette out of her thoughts.

Nathaniel ended his call before pressing a button on the door and replying. The limo came to a stop. The chauffeur came out and opened the door on Nathaniel's side then the redhead slipped out, holding out his hand for Marinette to take. The bluenette hesitantly took her husband's hand and climbed out of the limo.

The flashes of cameras immediately blinded her. No matter how many times she went out with Nathaniel and this happened to her, she couldn't get use to it. She didn't like pictures very much.

Bodyguards surrounded the couple as they walked into the building. Reporters and fans shouting at them.

"NATHANIEL! OVER HERE!"

"Oh my God, is she your wife?"

"You guys are literally goals! Four years and still going!"

"I love the relationship you both have!"

Marinette shook her head at the last two comments when they entered the building. Little did those people know. There were no more shouts, the only thing that could be heard was soft music, the clinking of wine glasses and chatter.

She allowed her eyes to scan the room. Everyone here looked rich, but what did she expect? She had been to a lot of these events with Nathaniel and people always looked like they bathed in money.

Nathaniel then lowered so he could whisper into her ear. "Smile and stop looking so damn timid!"

Marinette immediately plastered a fake smile onto her face. She didn't want to be here, she really didn't.

Nathaniel then started to go around and making small talk with some of the people in the room. He talked business deals and she didn't care much for that. He introduced her to most of them, boasting on how much he loved her with an arm around her waist. What most people did not see was his fingernails digging into her side, forcing her to say she loved him too.

Her job was to be the picture perfect wife, but tonight she was being resistant, something she would pay for when the get home.

Now they were seated at a table, eating appetizers.

"Marinette," Nathaniel called causing her to look up from her plate.

"Yes?" She answered softly, knowing if she talked too loud it would be seen as 'disrespect'.

"Look over there," He said pointing to a blond man standing with a girl with glasses. "He is Adrien Agreste. Ever heard of him?"

She shook her head but then remembered that doing that wasn't allowed when talking to him. "No." The man looked oddly familiar to her, it was as if she had met him before.

Nathaniel didn't seem to acknowledge her mistake though. He was focused on the blond.

"Well, he is the richest man in all of France. It is actually my first time seeing him in person since he got famous. He doesn't partner with anyone, but that is going to change tonight because he is going to partner with me," The redhead smirked, rising. "Let's go."

Marinette took his hand and allowed him to drag her across the room.

As if sensing that they were approaching, Adrien took his eyes from the lady with glasses and turned to the approaching pair.

Marinette almost gasped when his eyes met hers. She had definitely met him before. She even remembered their first ever conversation.

"I'm Adrien," He said, looking down at her. Marinette felt heat crawl up her neck as her cheeks flushed. He was so handsome.

"H-hi," She stuttered out then mentally scolded herself for sounding so embarrassing. "T-thank you for leaving the b-burger for me yesterday."

He grinned and her heart started to beat faster. "It was no trouble."

"H-how comes I have never seen you around school before?" She asked, looking down at her lap. She couldn't hold his gaze for much longer. She had never seen eyes as beautiful as his before. They were a deep green colour. Absolutely breathtaking.

"I don't really stick around here," He said, running his fingers through his blond hair. "I only come for a class then leave."

"Oh," Was all she said.

"Well, I have to go now," He said, rising from the floor. He brushed off his bottom. "I hope I see you the next time I'm here. I would like to be friends. See you later, Mari."

"Mr Agreste," Nathaniel's voice pulled her out of her thoughts. She then realized that she had been staring at the blond so she quickly lowered her head, a blush coating her cheeks. "It is a pleasure to meet you."

Adrien dragged his eyes from the blue eyed beauty to the redhead that held her hand. "I'm sorry, you are?"

Marinette winced slightly when Nathaniel tightened his grip on her hand in anger. "I am Nathaniel Kurtzberg," He said, managing to keep a smile on his face. He held out his hand for the blond to shake and the blond did just that.

"Ah," Adrien said in acknowledgement. "I have heard of you. Your business is doing well. Illustrator Incorporation, right?"

The redhead brightened up. "That's the one," Nathaniel chuckled. The men then started to have a light conversation on business related topics.

Adrien allowed his eyes to rest on the lady that stood beside of Nathaniel once more. Those blue eyes were unlike any other and so he recognized her almost immediately.

"And who is this?" Adrien stopped the business conversation and put all of his attention on Marinette.

Nathaniel gritted his teeth when Adrien just threw away the conversation they were having just because of Marinette. He then answered, slipping an arm around her waist, "This is my wife, Marinette."

"Oh I see," Adrien grinned taking Marinette's hand and placing a kiss on top. "It is nice to meet you."

"Likewise," She muttered in response, a light blush dusting her cheeks.

"Would you like to sit at our table to discuss some things?" Adrien then asked Nathaniel, who seemed to be quite out of it.

He brightened up at the question. "Of course!"

After a few minutes they were all seated at a table. Marinette kept her eyes trained on the table as Nathaniel kept up a conversation with Adrien.

"Excuse me," The lady with glasses, that Adrien was speaking to earlier, said as she got up and left the table.

"So how long have you been married," Adrien asked, taking a sip of his wine. Marinette could feel his eyes on her though she knew he was probably talking to Nathaniel. She couldn't stop her heart from speeding up nor could she stop the blush that crept up her neck to her cheeks.

"Four years and still going," Nathaniel grinned, forcefully intertwining his fingers with his wife's on top of the table.

Adrien glanced at their intertwined hands and a small frown made an appearance on his face. He quickly covered it up with a business smile and met Nathaniel's eyes. "I see. Congratulations then. I can arrange a meeting some time next month, maybe the second, to discuss somethings."

The bluenette rose her head to see Nathaniel's reaction. He didn't look pleased at all.

"Can't you bring the date up a bit?" The redhead tried to reason. Adrien shook his head, glancing at his watch.

"I'm sorry, but no. Take it or leave it," The blond replied. "My days are filled, you're lucky to get a day so near. Are you taking the second?"

"Yes," Nathaniel gritted out, squeezing Marinette's hand. The bluenette quickly removed her hand from his grasp before he could break it.

Adrien then rose, his gaze on his watch. "Would you look at the time. I've been here for an hour. An hour too long. I must be going now."

Alya returned to the table, standing beside Adrien silently.

Surprisingly the three other people, Adrien took Marinette's hand in his and pressed a lingering kiss on top causing the blunette to blush furiously. "It was a pleasure meeting you," He said with a grin.

"Y-you too," Was what Marinette stuttered out as she watched them walk away.

Alya stumbled after Adrien, still shocked. She had never seen her boss interact that way with anyone. This was a first for her.

"What the hell was that?" She whispered to him and he only chuckled at her tone.

"She's the one," Was all he said.

The brunette's eyes widened. "She's the one you told me about?"

"That is definitely her. I don't forget faces," The blond told her. "I want her."

"Dude, she is obviously married," Alya rolled her eyes at him. Sometime she wondered what went through his dumb, blond head. "Seems like you were too late in finding her."

Adrien frowned. "That's the problem."

As the two continued to talk, they were unaware of the fuming redhead dragging the fearful Marinette out of the room and out of the building (with the assistance of bodyguards, of course).

Marinette felt fear bubble in the pit of her stomach as the limo pulled off. Nathaniel was deadly silent, she could only imagine what would happen to her when they returned home.

The car was silent for the ride. The silence was neither awkward nor was it comfortable. It was absolutely suffocating.

As they neared the house, Marinette's heartbeat sped up. Balling her hands into fists, she tried to see if she could stop the shaking. If anything, the shaking only increased.

Her breath caught in her throat when Nathaniel clamped down on her hand with an iron grip and began to pull her from the car and into the house.

His grip was merciless as he pulled her up the stairs. Not being able to adjust to his speed in her heels, the blunette stumbled and tripped on the stairs, twisting her right ankle in the process. A strangled scream left her throat.

Nathaniel, however, didn't care one bit as he continued to drag her.

Before she knew it, she was flung into a random room, crashing to the floor.

"N-Natha-," She tried to speak, but didn't even get a chance when he landed a hard kicked in her side.

"Shut up!" He yelled, his face red from anger. "You- you knew what you were doing!"

"What-" She tried again, but was met with the same fate that caused her to cry out.

"I said shut up!" Nathaniel gritted his teeth as he stooped down to his crying wife's level. "Do you know how embarrassing that was for me?! Huh, Marinette?! Do you know how I felt when you sat there flirting with him right in front of me?!"

She stayed silent. This, somehow, angered him.

"Answer me!" He screamed, swinging his hand and slapping her across the face.

She bit back a cry at the sting. "I-I'm sorry."

"Sorry isn't enough," The redhead snarled, curling his fingers into her hair and yanking her to her feet. Tears pricked the corner of her eyes when her back hit the mattress. "You are mine. Only mine. I picked you to be mine forever and I can't afford you whoring yourself out to other men. That looks bad on me. Must I remind you that you are mine again?"

She wasted no time to shake her head. "N-no. Please, no."

"You don't get a choice anymore," He shook his head and he hovered over her shaking form.

Marinette didn't hold back her tears anymore. She cried, screamed, begged, but....her pleads went deaf to his ears as they always did.

And as always, he used her to his satisfaction.
