I fall to the floor, mud staining my white jeans as soon as my knees scrape against the dirty nature.

One lonely tear drop travels down my cheek, following the curve of my neck until I wipe it off.

The gravestone looms over my curled up figure, the one person I crave for lying in the exact spot it marks.

Why me? Why me?

"Mom?"

My son shakes me, lifting me up.

"Do you want anything to eat? I made lasagna with Aunt Rhea."

More tears spill. Silas could've been here. He could've shown how proud he would've been.

"I know it hurts Mom, but I love you. I'm here for you. Please don't cry."

He hugs me tightly, his slightly muscle arms wrapping around my body.

He pulls back and moves strands of hair out of my face before wiping my tears away with his thumb.

His eyebrows furrow as he looks behind me, confusion clear on his face.

"What's that?"

I stand, my Alpha mode back on. A small note has been neatly tucked into the gravestone, only the corner barely noticeable.

I pick up the note, opening it with all intentions to kill.

You cry all the time and leave your child unsafe. Are you sure that's the right thing to do Quinn?

Tick tock goes the clock. There's only a small amount of time before its my time to shine.

A snarl leaves my lips and I rip the damn paper up, flinging the useless pieces of paper into the air around us.

I clench my fist tightly, a wild look clear on my face.

The thirst to kill someone is strong, much stronger than anything I've felt in such a long time.

A hand tugs on my own, calming me down from the overflow of emotions.

"Mom, let's eat some food. Then we can get Uncle Bennett."

I look my son in the eye and he smiles softly, tugging me towards Rhea's house.

I kiss his forehead and hold him tightly against my chest.

"I love you son. I don't know what I'd do without you."

"Me neither Mom. And I'll never be without you. Never."

150K! I did cry and I don't regret it at all. Don't judge guys, I thought this book would get 5 reads but look at this, people actually like my writing!

My holiday now feels like a very nice treat for this 150K and to show my appreciation, I've given you guys a bonus chapter.
