I Can Almost Hear Your Laughter In the Air
Renae was a storm - bright, flashing, rolling through the sweet air like a call home. She was sprinting down wet pavement, swirling her toes and making ripples in the mud, pulling up wild daisies by the roots and raising them to the sunset - like they were her wings and she could be an angel.
The wind was cooling, blowing her hair around her face as she turned to look at Melody.
Her silhouette was framed by dusk. Her long red hair was on fire.
The sun set over the world of swirling light and growing flowers and swaying telephone poles. It cast an ethereal glow over the face of the earth, the rich scent of rain and soil coloring the air, mingling with the sunbeams.
The sun set, and Melody watched her world dance in the rain.
