Ivy's life has been nothing but complicated.  Her parents stopped speaking to her at age 12. They packed up and moved away. They left her to live with her aunt. Ivy loves her aunt, but she carries the pain of her parents leaving her forever. Ivy is scared of everything good, for good things for Ivy are only temporary. When Ivy turns 18, she moves to Toronto from Brampton, to get out of her city and forget all the memories and to go to school at Ryerson University. When she runs into Maple Leafs phenom Auston Matthews, all she can think is that happiness is only temporary.
