'Airport pt. I'
My fingers laced through his hair,
tugging on the locks ever so gently,
As his sweet whispers filled the air,
I wanted him.
As his hand slid into my free hand,
interlocking our fingers,
as his body held against mine,
I needed him.
As his lips bruised my own,
Matching the urgency of his movements,
As the sheet slid further down his back,
I desired him.
As a gasp escaped my lips,
a string of his names following,
as I became overwhelmed with pleasure,
I loved him.
*
It was 7:00am when Namjoon stepped into our cabin, Taehyung and I turning to face him from opposites sides of the room.
In Taehyung's hand was his camera, in mine was my memory box.
All Namjoon had to say was, "It's time."
And in time I was staring at myself in the mirror, slowly zipping up the TSA uniform.
When I was done, I turned towards Taehyung, finding him in an identical one.
He swept my hair over my shoulder before placing the cap onto my head.
A knock on the door turned our attention towards Yoongi, walking in with folders in hand.
There, inside, I found my new ID, my new social security, my new passport, my new life.
Taking a deep breath, I let everything set in.
This is really happening.
Yoongi gave me a fine smile, delicately looking between Taehyung and me before stepping out.
The fear kicked in as I started to step onto the main deck, following Taehyung and the others down the ramp.
Looking in front of me, I spotted an array of vehicles, everyone climbing into them before dispersing.
We really had a whole team with us.
Would we all make it safe?
Climbing into the vehicle with Taehyung, we eventually rolled out across Incheon bridge.
I couldn't help but look all around me, the anxiety settling uncomfortably in the pit of my stomach.
Feeling Taehyung's hand slip into my own, I turned to him, finally catching some air.
It wasn't until the airport came into view that I felt my anxiety soar through the roof.
It was bigger than I anticipated, reminding me exactly how big this operation was.
I watched as the other cars in front of me all made their way to the different entrances the airport had, only 5 vehicles sticking with Taehyung and I in our parking lot.
Namjoon's plan was to send out a group of men to test the waters, then send Taehyung and I in as the second group so we had at least one layer of protection. Any group after was an added bonus.
Waiting inside the vehicle was complete agony so imagine my relief when Namjoon suddenly turned to face us, letting us know,
"They're in."
Stepping out of the car, we met with Hoseok. He walked up to us, staring intently at Taehyung, an unknown conversation happening.
"Taehyung, you're coming with me. Hari, you're with Hoseok."
As soon as Namjoon said that, I felt my legs almost give out.
We're going to be separated?
Taehyung swallowed nervously, giving me a nod as if to say "It'll be fine".
I gave him a half-hearted smile before turning to Hoseok, afraid to meet his eyes.
Why did he have a way of making me feel like I was doing the wrong thing?
Couldn't he see Taehyung was saving me?
He held my eyes before looking away, taking my bag, and pointing his head in the direction we were to go.
"Hari." Taehyung called for me before pulling my shoulder back, placing his lips over mine.
As quick as he did, he pulled away, following Namjoon with all the composure I wish I had.
As soon as I entered the airport, I got lost taking it all in, Hoseok needing to bring me back.
"Hari." He warned; again, tilting head in the direction we're supposed to go.
"Now remember, just act like you're just TSA passing through. Don't hesitate. Don't make yourself look suspicious."
I nodded, squeaking, "Right."
He adjusted his cap before adjusting my own.
I put my trembling hands into my pocket, afraid it would have given me away.
Hoseok lead the way and for a second I thought one of the agents was going to stop us, but one look at our uniform and they let us slip by.
Or was there something behind the look Hoseok gave them?
When we made it further in, Hoseok turned towards me.
Out of breath, I told him in disbelief, "We made it."
But did Taehyung and Namjoon?
"Right, but it's not over. Now hurry, go change." Hoseok handed over my bag.
Taking it, I quickly went into the nearby bathroom.
I rushed into the handicap stall, locking it and leaning against the wall, a million thoughts in my head.
Taehyung, please make it safe...
Didn't we promise to make it together?
Overemotional, I shed a couple of tears, wiping them away quickly so I could change and make my way back out.
Once outside, I quickly became overwhelmed by all the people hustling by.
So much unfamiliarity,
yet I could be familiar to them.
I struggled to find Hoseok, looking everywhere possible, but I couldn't exactly remember where I parted ways with him.
Panic started to set in, a feeling of despair starting to fall over me.
Everyone passed by me as a blur, but then there amongst the crowd, in a gray hoodie and black baseball cap, stood Taehyung.
My heart flipped.
He made it.
We made it.
Running over to him, I threw myself into his arms.
He threw his arms around me, hugging me tightly and placing a kiss on top of my head before taking my hand.
"C'mon. They're in the lounge, waiting."
He adjusted my baseball cap as we walked, digging into his pocket to pull out a couple of masks.
It was almost unbelieveable to think that all we had left to do was wait to board.
It felt a little too easy.
Stepping into the waiting area, I was easily able to recognize a couple of Namjoon's men, all situated throughout.
Each of them placed a luggage at their side, the contents inside already known to me.
I swallowed nervously.
Luckily, Namjoon and Hoseok stood up from their seat, distracting me momentarily.
Taehyung tugged me along, approaching them casually.
"Where's Yoongi?" I asked, recalling he entered with the first group.
The corner of Namjoon's lip tugged upward "At the real gate we're supposed to be at."
I was confused by what he meant, looking around to see that I wasn't the only one.
Hoseok's eyebrows twitched, turning slowly at Namjoon. "What do you mean?"
Namjoon looked between Hoseok and Taehyung. "We're hijacking a plane."
The tension in the air grew higher.
Hoseok frowned at Namjoon. "I thought this was as far as we were gonna go?"
I looked up at Taehyung, who stared at Namjoon in shock, his grip on my hand tightening.
Namjoon didn't say anything to Hoseok, a smirk on his face. "C'mon. Yoongi's waiting."
Namjoon turned to leave, but before Taehyung and I could follow, a row of people stood up a few feet in front of him.
Namjoon stilled.
My eyes widened.
Were they blocking him?
Feeling presence all around me, I slowly turned to look towards my side, that's when I noticed that almost everyone in the lounge had also stood up.
"Tae...hyung?" My voice struggled to come out, stricken by deep fear.
Taehyung only clutched onto my hand tightly, head facing forward.
Namjoon attempted to take another step, but the minute his body flinched forward, guns pointed his way.
Quickly, Namjoon raised his arms.
Taehyung was silent, hiding behind his hair as he yanked me towards him.
I fell into him, eyes still drawn to the messy web of guns aiming from our people to strangers.
A couple of guns were even pointed at us.
What was going on?
What was happening?
The only one without a gun pointed at him...
was Hoseok.
Namjoon slowly raised his chin, eyeing Hoseok from the side.
I was frightened to death, trembling in Taehyung's arms.
"I can't let you do that," Hoseok told Namjoon, all emotion wept from his face.
And to my horror, I watched as he unzipped his TSA jacket,
only to reveal his real uniform.
Namjoon's eyes traveled down to read the badge on the uniform, confirming it's authenticity.
Hoseok's...a cop?
The look of betrayal on Namjoon's face told me he had no inkling that Hoseok was working for them.
"Officer Jung." On the side, one of the gunmen called for Hoseok.
Hoseok turned towards the brunette who nodded towards him then at me, his name tag reading: Kim Seokjin.
I felt my blood run cold.
Don't take me away from, Taehyung.
Don't you dare.
"NOW!" Namjoon suddenly screamed so suddenly, I jolted.
On cue, gunshots began firing.
I yelped.
Taehyung wrapped his arms around my waist before throwing me onto the floor with him, pulling me under the chairs.
He held me close as he started breathing heavily.
The gunshots were creating mass panic, people from different waiting areas were heard as they screamed and immediately started running away.
Bodies began dropping near us, but I was too afraid to look at who we had lost.
Too afraid.
Suddenly, someone slid on their side towards Taehyung and me. Taehyung's chin lifting from my head as he turned to look at a familiar face.
"I have the plane. LET'S GO."
Yoongi leaned up, firing his gun to the aid of Namjoon as Taehyung and I crawled from under the seats.
Was this even safe?
I couldn't look around, afraid that a bullet would eventually come my way.
Yoongi ordered for us to get behind his men, naming the ones that had created a path for us to escape behind.
Taehyung pushed me behind them, shielding me immediately just in case we could be targeted.
As soon as he was out of ammo, Yoongi rolled over to us. "Follow me!"
Taehyung got up and was about to start running me in hand when just as I was about to get up, the body in front of us fell between us.
"Shit!" Taehyung screamed as my hand slipped from his, the body having created an opening for the bullets to hit the desk behind.
As quickly as the gap was created, it was closed.
We were losing Yoongi who was making his way across believing that Taehyung and I were following.
I started running after the two, Taehyung slowly waiting for me to catch up, but I told him to keep running, afraid that we'd lose our only shot at escaping.
The adrenaline was charging through me as I ran after.
Taehyung turned towards me in the airport hallway, continuously bumping into people who were trying to escape.
"Take my hand, Hari!"
"Take my hand, Taehyung." I had told him once before.
"Hold my hand and never let go!"
"Let's run away now!" It had been me that time and now it was you.
I took a few long strides until my hand clasped onto his, tightly.
Taehyung held my hand firmly, Never letting go.
Because the last thing he wanted to do
was let go.
