"You know," he sat up in the bed, his biceps flexing as he used his arm to prop his head up, "I have never actually taken you on a real date."
Genevieve exited the bathroom, ruffling her damp hair, wearing nothing but a towel, "And what's your definition of a real date?"
"I don't know, doing something other than sex. I mean, don't get me wrong the sex is great – I love the sex," they laughed lightly, "but we've never really been out in public together, you know? I want to show you off."
"Then take me on an actual date."
"Okay. Get dressed. Wear a bikini, it's gonna get a little... wet."
"Was that innuendo intentional?" Gen raised an eyebrow, holding back a laugh.
"Just go get dressed," he grinned like a young child in a candy store.
The blonde held her hands up in mock defence, "I'm going, I'm going."

After they had both gotten ready for Stefan's mystery date the pair arrived at a lake just outside of Mystic Falls. Aside from the random few people, the lake was mostly empty.
"I thought you wanted to show me off," Gen laughed a little, not really minding the fact that they were basically alone.
"There are a few people," he motioned around. "Besides, bot all dates have to be around heaps of people."
"Stef, I don't mind. I'm here with you, and that's all that matters to me."
He smiled down at her, pulling her body closer to his by her waist and pressing his soft lips to hers. Genevieve's hands moved towards his hair, her fingers running through it like they had hundreds of times before.
"Wait," she pulled away from him, "I have an idea. Go stand in the water."
"What why?"
"Just do it!" Gen pointed a manicured finger towards the water before yelling at him to take his shirt off.
She quickly stripped down so that she was only in her black bikini. The young woman began to run towards her lover, shouting at him to catch her, which he did with ease.
Stefan held her above his head like a trophy while she laughed.
Her laugh was, without a doubt, his favourite sound in the world.
