"I don't know, Damon, there's just something about her that seems off," Elena let out a sigh as she ran a hand through her long hair.
"Why are you worrying about this so much?" The raven haired vampire let out a deep sigh of annoyance followed by an eye roll.
"Because he's my friend and I care about him. I'm just looking out for him."
"Well if Stefan trusts her then so do I," Damon shrugged. "Babe, come on, just let him be happy. God knows he deserves it."
"Alright, I'm dropping it." Elena held her hands up in mock surrender, making her way over to the bed where her boyfriend laid, one hand behind his head. "Goodnight."
The pair laid tangled in the sheets, Damon's strong arms wrapped around her small body. The room was dark and silent, which should have made it easier for Elena to sleep but instead only made it harder.
Even though she had told Damon she'd drop the matter, she couldn't help but let her mind wander back to the mysterious vampire that had turned up out of nowhere.
Genevieve, with her long blonde hair, sky blue eyes and bitchy attitude, reminded Elena of Rebekah Mikaelson. In fact, Genevieve bared much resemblance to all of the Originals. Even her daylight ring reminded her of the Mikaelson's.
That was when it hit her. She didn't just look and act like them, she was one of them.
Elena peeled herself away from Damon, grabbed her phone from the nightstand before sneaking downstairs. Her nimble fingers scrolled through her contact list, hovering over the one number she never imagined she would call.
"Elena Gilbert!" His accented voice boomed through the receiver. "To what do I owe the pleasure?"
"I wasn't aware you had another sister," the doppelgänger bit her lip. What if she had been wrong?
"I assume you're talking about Genevieve." Klaus was paused for a moment before he continued to talk. "Is she in Mystic Falls?"
"Yes, I need you to make her leave."
"We'll be there tomorrow."
"We?" Elena raised an eyebrow.
"This is family business," came Klaus' simple response before he hung up.
She pulled the phone away from her ear, closing her eyes for a moment. Had she done the right thing in telling Klaus?
Glass shattered against the hardwood floor in to hundreds of tiny pieces as it slipped from her fingers. The brunette let out a loud gasp as she whipped around to face the culprit.
"Oh my god! Genevieve," Elena held a hand over her chest, breathing heavily as she recovered from the scare.
"You have no idea what you've just done."
