A high pitched whistled sounded from her lips as she stepped out onto the front patio. The fluffy border collie came running towards her almost instantly; she crouched down and ran her hands through his long fur.

Genevieve's sky blue eyes looked out at the view in front of her, smiling a little to herself.

She had always felt at peace when she was away from the city. It was why they had decided to move away from Mystic Falls in the first place.

"Honey, I'm home!" Stefan called out as he entered the house. She stood up and headed back inside. "How was your day?"

"Better now that you're here," Gen grinned, pecking her lips against his. "You know it's still crazy to me that all this was once just a dream."

"And now you're my wife."

The couple shared a large grin; they did that a lot, because they had finally found a home within each other.
