Still Hiccup's POV

After that... experience, with the other night fury we headed out towards Dragons Edge. The first two groups from what I could tell were mainly mothers and their children. Knowing how many dragons there are I'm going to have to spread them out amongst nearby islands until we can move them to a new nest.

I was at the head leading the groups to the Edge while my friends would spread them out to the surrounding islands as Astrid and I would return to help the next group as my mother, Valka, would gather them and prepare them for their journey. Astrid came up from the back of the group to where I was, looking concerned which confused me until she spoke, "You alright there Hiccup?"

"Huh, oh yeah I'm just great! W-why do you ask?" I smiled but I could tell she wasn't buying it as Stormfly glided closer to Toothless and I, "Shouldn't Stormfly be resting anyway?"

"We stop every now and then to let her wing rest a bit, however something's bothering you I can tell. Do..." she sighed, "Do you want to talk about it?"

"It's just, I guess I'm just still trying to wrap my head around everything. We still have to find a new nest for all these dragons, Not to mention you still haven't told me why you left Berk!" I exclaimed a little frustrated.

"I know, I want to explain everything to you Hiccup! I do! but with everything happening right now.." She paused, "That's it!"

"What? What's it? Astrid your confusing me!"

"Berk! The Dragons nest! That's where we can go!" her grin contagious as I smiled with her before confusion took over again.

"Wait, but how do you know it's empty?" her grin dimming in remembrance.

"When the gang and I left Berk we had to stop every now and then so that they could rest there wings. At first I was worried about the dragon queen but when we landed it was strange, empty. I know your dad, Stoick and the others said that the fog was gone and that they found the island abandoned, but I didn't believe them," she looked into the horizon, "not until I saw it for myself... You did it didn't you?" 

"Did what?" I asked as she finally looked at me.

"You took down the queen. You were the only other person that could've done it since Valka admits to have had nothing to do with it." 

I chuckled lightly, "Yeah, yeah I did. I actually thought I was dead after it was all over, turns out I wasn't. I was just a 15 year old dragon rider with a peg leg." I smiled at her, but I could tell there was a pain behind her eyes, most likely from remembering the past. I sighed, "Astrid.. Why did you leave?"

She looked down, "That's a story for another time." was all she said before flying back to her original place at the back of the group.
