Harry's POV:
We climbed back into the portrait, huffing and panting.
"Why- do we- keep- getting- fucking lost? " Kylie said between large gasps of trying to catch her breath.
"Language." I said pointedly, as Kylie chuckled.
"Steve Rogers, that you?" She teased, finally having caught her breath.
"Oh my gosh, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!" A shrill voice called behind us, as the brunette came marching through the portrait hole.
"McGonagall's office. Thought I told you?" I asked, furrowing my eyebrows.
"WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG?!" Hermione said shrilly, not caring that the whole common room was listening.
"Holy Helga, we got lost, cut us some slack, will ya?" Kylie snapped before stalking off to her dorm.
"Where's Ron?" I asked.
"He's still eating." Hermione scrunched up her nose in disgust.
I chuckled and we walked away to our own dorms.

"Now, Quidditch, is easy enough to understand, even if it's not that easy to play."
Wood and I set the box down, as Kylie slowly dawdled, flinging her arms freely.
Wood sighed and started explaining it to me.
"Each team has 7 players. 3 Chasers-"
Kylie cut him off by saying, "2 beaters, 1 Keeper and a Seeker.". Wood looked shocked as he opened the box and took out a big, red, misshapen ball and threw it at me and I caught it.
"Now, this one's called the Quaffle. The Chasers handle the Quaffle and try to score it through one of those hoops. A Keeper - that's me - defends the hoops. With me so far?" He asked, sending a glare to Kylie who was, all of a sudden, shaking with laughter.
"I think so.." I threw the Quaffle back at him. "What are those?"
"You better take this." Wood handed me and Kylie a baseball bat each and set the rogue ball free.
It shot up in the air immediately, and came charging at me with full force. I mustered all the strength I could and hit it.
Wood looked impressed. "Not bad, Potter, you'd make a fair Beater.". But as soon as those words left his mouth, the ball came flying back and Wood wrestled it into its place again, the chains holding it from knocking an innocent person, well in this case, Kylie, out.
"What was that?" I asked curiously.
"That was a Bludger. Nasty little buggers. But, you, are a Seeker. The only ball I want you to worry about, is this." Wood took out a golden walnut-sized ball that sprouted fluttery wings.
"I like this ball." I said, inspecting every inch of it.
"All that glitters is not gold!" Kylie yelled from somewhere behind, picking up dandelions and blowing them.
"Wilson, get back here!" Wood said furiously.
"Nah, goodbye!" Kylie said, walking into the building.
"I need to prep you up, or you're not making the team!" Wood called after her and she was here within seconds.
I let the ball fly around for a bit and caught it, as Wood scolded Kylie for wandering off.
"But I already know how to play the game!" Kylie protested.
"Oh really? Tell me then!" Wood challenged.
"Each team has 7 players, 3 Chasers, 2 Beaters, 1 Keeper and a Seeker. Chasers handle the Quaffle, the big red ball, and try to score it through the hoops and the Keeper defends the hoops. The Beaters are there to direct the Bludgers away, and the Seeker needs to catch the Golden Snitch. The game won't end until the Seeker catches the Snitch and USUALLY, not always, Seeker's team who caught the Snitch wins, since catching that ball adds 150 points. Scoring through the hoops usually adds 10, 20, or 50 points. These are the basic rules and more intricate rules are there, so there are lots of ways to commit a foul." Kylie finished, a cocky grin on her face.
Wood looked like he would burst with embarrassment.
~~~
"How did practice go- Where's Kylie?" Ron asked, not seeing the girl anywhere.
"She's in detention for, er, punching Wood." I said awkwardly.
"What?! Why?!" Hermione asked, like Kylie's a sweet little angel who wouldn't hurt a fly.
"I dunno, probably because Wood said something that upset her." I shrugged it off.
"She needs to control her temper." Ron said, his mouth full of the Every-Flavor Beans. Hermione looked disgusted.
"Don't talk with your mouth full!" She snapped. Ron scowled at her.
Kylie's POV:
I sat in detention, my 100 lines of "I will not punch anyone" done. Professor McGonagall had left the room to get something and honestly, it's been so long that I took a nap and woke up.
Frustrated, I took out a little piece of parchment and wrote,
Professor McGonagall,
I have finished my 100 lines. I'll leave the parchment here. It's almost dinner, so I am heading for the Great Hall. Hope you don't mind.
I then got up, took my stuff and left the room.
I reached the Great Hall and I was right on time. I looked around but, couldn't find Harry, Ron and Hermy. Then, behind me, I heard footfalls. Very familiar ones. Without even turning, I knew it was Fred and George.
"Hello there." I said, turning around right in time, since they were about to drop a Dungbomb behind my back. They froze.
"Uh, hey, Kylie..." They said, looking surprised.
"So, trying to get me back into detention?" I asked, cocking an eyebrow.
"Back? What happened?" Fred asked curiously.
"I punched Wood." I shrugged. Fred and George took a step back, as though I might punch them as well. I mean, if they piss me off as well, I might.
"For what? Don't tell me it's for fun, or we'll talk Dumbledore into resorting you to Slytherin." George threatened.
"It's not like I even care. And to answer your question, he was pissing me off about how I shouldn't be eating a lot of desserts, and I got pissed off and punched him." I said casually.
"Uh, I'm going to just assume you punched on our behalf, Wood really can get annoying sometimes." Fred said, walking away to find another innocent to avoid detention. I have a very strong feeling that that innocent's going to be Neville.
Hiya! I know, I'm late and the timeline is so damn wacky, but I promise it'll make sense after a few chapters! So, any feedback? (other than my updating skills, I know I suck) Love y'all and stay safe!
