(y/n) - your name

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Hawkins group all casually split up to look around the house, looking for any kind of information or clues to help them on their mission on taking down Vecna. (y/n), Max and Billy stuck together, the girls stopping short when they both saw the grandfather clock standing against the wall in front of them.

"Hey, guys?"

"You all see that, right?" (y/n) and Max ask the others and they all stand behind them, nodding that they could see the grandfather clock.

"Is this what you saw? In your visions?" Nancy asks and the girls nod.

"Why is this wizard obsessed with clocks? Maybe he's, like,a clockmaker or something?" Steve asks, confused as Robin inspects the clock to see it was just an old and regular grandfather clock.

"Congrats Harrington," Billy rolls his eyes, clapping his hands mockingly. "You really solved the case here." he scoffs and Steve glares at him.

"Either way," (y/n) stands between the glaring guys, moving them away from each other so they don't kill each other. "the answer is here somewhere like Nancy said." she nods at (y/n)'s words and suggests everyone split up but stay in groups of 2, taking Robin with her upstairs. Max and Lucas head off, Billy being stopped by his love when she holds onto his arm.

She shakes her head and he sighs. "Yeah ok fine." he really didn't like his little sister being around a boy by herself. "Let's go darling." Billy gently takes (y/n)'s hand and they both walk away from Steve and Dustin as the older one sighs.

"Did you just sigh!?"

(y/n) and Billy head up the stairs, going the opposite way from Robin and Nancy, searching in the eery rooms and creepy hallway. "If we get jumped by something, I swear to god..." (y/n) mutters out, gripping her flashlight tighter as Billy pulled her close. He swatted away the cobwebs in disgust, his love pulling the hoodie over her head tighter to avoid spiders getting in her hair.

"These fucking things are everywhere!" he hisses, annoyed by his hair being messed up.

"It's an old house love, creepy crawlies are bound to live here... even though I want to fucking torch the place-" a violent shiver ran up (y/n)'s spine from the thought, a shudder leaving her lips.

"You and me both princess." the couple roam around together, music drifting from the headphones (y/n) was wearing as she sighs in slight pain from wearing them for hours.

"Wearing this for hours is pissing me off..." she mutters out, rubbing her ears and stretching her jaw to pop her ears.

The music suddenly stops and she quickly rewinds it again. "There needs to be a longer loop." Billy says, hearing the song playing again.

"62 minutes is legit over an hour and a bit. It's not that bad."

"What if you get sick of this song?  Listening to it over and over again?"

"I am sick of it." Billy blinks at (y/n) in panic.

"What-!?"

"-but that doesn't mean I don't love the song. I love listening to anything, this is the song I just really like at the moment until I find a new favourite and listen to that over and over again."

"So you have multiple favourite songs?" Billy asks (y/n).

"Yeah, who doesn't? It's impossible to pick just one. I'm sure you have your favourites from your rock and metal bands." he nods at his love's words. "I'm surprised you and Eddie haven't bonded over your same music tastes." he scoffs at that.

"Bond with that pussy freak? Fuck no." Billy states and (y/n) rolls her eyes at her boyfriend. They walk quietly as he listens to the song, which he realised was another pop song his love always listens to. "Do you only listen to brain-dead pop music?" she gasps and looks at him offended.

"No! Well maybe. I listen to anything that I like or has a good beat."

"So only pop-"

"-no! I like some of the rock songs you listen to as well!" Billy smirks, enjoying how flustered (y/n) looked as she rants on about music and how she doesn't have a specific genre.

"Ok, then what rock songs do you actually like?"

"The ones you always play in your car. That Foreigner and Scorpions one."

"You mean 'Rock you like a hurricane' and 'Hot Blooded'?"

"Yes, those ones." Billy smiles, genuinely surprised that (y/n) liked listening to his tracks.

"Then I'll play those ones more often for you." he takes in her smile and holds her close as he listens to the words of the song that played through her headphones, brows furrowed at the sad melody.

"And I was runnin' far away. Would I run off the world someday?"

"But no, take me home, take me home where I belong. I got no other place to go."

"No, take me home, take me home where I belong. I got no other place to go. I can't take it anymore."

Worry festered in his heart, opening his mouth to ask her if she was ok but (y/n) walks into a room before Billy could. The couple finds themselves in what seems to be a shared children's bedroom where it was split into half for a boy and a girl. Billy stops short when he enters the room, (y/n) looking around before leaving but he looks at the twin beds and the children's toys that were left behind.

His brows furrowed as he looked at the toys that were untouched for years, the little drawings and clothes that were left behind in the wardrobe. The glum thoughts of how these children had a childhood one minute and it was simply ripped away from them the next. He thought about how happy the kids must have been, how happy the family would've been... unlike him, unlike the misery and torture he was forced to go through for so long.

He felt envious but downhearted, picking up a couple of dolls that simply stared back at him. Billy thought about having children of his own, thinking about whether they would be happy or miserable. Would he be a good father or would he end up hurting them just like his father hurt him... He didn't want anyone going through what he went through again, promising himself that if the day came, he would lay his life to love them with everything he had.

Would (y/n) even want children...? With him...?

Billy shook his head at the thoughts, setting the dolls down on the bed before walking out of the room. He was too young to think about that, he was only 19 and so was (y/n).

"(y/n)?" he called out for her, worried that they got separated until he hears her yell out for him from the end of the hallway near the stairs.

"Billy! Come here!" he runs over to her, seeing his love point to a door that was slightly ajar. "There's lights flickering in there!"

"What do you think is in there?"

"I don't know!? I'm not opening the door! I ain't dying!" (y/n) exclaims in a whisper, terrified and Billy warily stands in front of her to slowly open the door. It creaks as it opens, the couple grimacing at how loud the sound was and they peer up the flight of stairs with lights flickering at the end. "Guys! Guys can you come over here!" (y/n) yells out for everyone in the house to hear, waiting until they all come over and they peer past the door with her and Billy.

"It's like the Christmas lights." Nancy says and Billy, (y/n) and Robin look at her in confusion.

"The Christmas lights?" they ask.

"Yeah, when Will was in the Upside Down, the lights... came to life." Nancy answers them. "That's how he communicated to his mum that he was still alive."

"So Vecna's here? In this house?" the three ask again and everyone nods.

"Just on the other side." Lucas says.

"Can he hear us or see us from the other side?" (y/n) whispers but no one knew a definitive answer.

"Headphones." Lucas and Billy both say to their girls, helping them put their headphones on as their music drifts into their ears. The group ready themselves to go up the stairs of what seemed to be leading them to an attic.

"Are you guys really going up into an attic!?" (y/n) whispers, seeing them walk up the stairs. "What if it's a trap!?" No one says anything and she sighs, looking at Billy who stays behind her as they walk up the stairs last. The buzzing and the crackling of electricity gets louder once everyone was in the attic, the lights flickering like crazy. The room was dark and boarded, preventing the rays of the setting sun to seep through as the group's flashlights flickered when they stood in a circle beneath a single light bulb.

"Okay, what's happening?" Steve asks when the flashlights go crazy. "Guys-"

"-hello!? I need help here! Major help! Guys!" the group jumps as the walkie-talkie in (y/n)'s bag goes off, hearing a loud scream from Eddie as she scrambles to take it out.

"Eddie! What's wrong-" she screams as her flashlight shatters, Billy quickly moving to pull her head to his chest as everyone else's flashlights suddenly shatter one by one. They scream and drop their broken flashlights, everyone scrambling to get out of the house.

"Eddies in trouble!" Dustin exclaims.

"Munson's fine, he's probably just screaming about not having any food." Billy says, looking over at (y/n) who was trying to reach Eddie but getting no reply, seeing her visibly get worried when he didn't answer.

"He's not answering! That scream sounded terrified!" Dustin yells out. "We should-"

"-we need to talk about this first, about (y/n) being right that Vecna is in the Upside Down and attacking his victims." Nancy says.

"And the fact that we have no fucking clue how to get to him 'cause there are no open gates! We have no way of getting to him at all!" Robin exclaims.

"We'll go check for him at the Ricks place and you guys go back to ours to make a game plan." (y/n) says.

"(y/n) he's fine-" Billy sighs as she doesn't listen to him, walking to his car. "Max, make sure your mum isn't home before everyone decides to stay over ok." he says and she nods, the group going their separate ways.
