"It can't be-how-you were-Steve how is she-" Robin breaks down crying angrily. "You all some sick freaks thinking this prank is ok!" she shoves Steve furiously but notices how solemn he looked.

"It's not a prank Robin..." she blinks at him before looking at (y/n), her eyes wide as she jumps over the counter and rushes to hug her dead best friend.

"You're back! You're actually back! I don't care how I'm just glad you're alive again!" Robin cries happily, picking up (y/n) in her arms to hug her tightly. "I missed having my girl friend! Steve is so boring to talk to!"

"Robin... can't breathe!" (y/n) wheezed out painfully and the taller girl gasped, setting the shorter one down on her feet.

"Sorry! Sorry! But like, are you a zombie now? Are you here for brains or something cause I suggest eating Steves first."

"Hey!"

"It's a long story... at this point, I'm letting the kids explain it for me." and that's what (y/n) does, she lets Max and Dustin explain everything to Robin with Billy correcting things multiple times here and there. It was taking very inch of his willpower to not knock Steve down on his ass but he promised to be civil with him for (y/n).

"So you escaped a lab where they were bringing you back from the dead, travelled to find Hargrove in California even though your memories were wiped but you remember him through gut feeling, you two lived together for some time and you're both here now. Hargrove for his sister and you for a dangerous vision of something bad happening."

"Yeah... pretty much..." (y/n) shrugs, dropping her shirt over her cargo pants since Robin wanted to see the wicked scars on her body. Robins words, not (y/n)'s.

"Well, shit... and you think something from the Upside Down managed to kill a Hawkins student but the police are framing this Munson guy?"

"Correct again."

"What the fuck..."

"Yeah now that we're caught up, how many phones do you have?" Dustin asks.

"Two. Why?" Steve says.

"Technically three, if you count Keith's." Robin corrects and Dustin nods to Max.

"Yeah, three works." the kids jump over the counter to get onto the other side, ignoring Steve and Robin who were complaining.

"What are you doing, man!?" Steve exclaims as Dustin uses their computer

"Setting up base of operations here."

"Base of operations?"

"We're looking for Eddie's friend's phone numbers."

"We need to try and find him to see what he knows or saw cause whatever this thing is, is going to kill again." (y/n) says and the two video employees nod, Robin going to the back to grab Keith's phone. Dustin managed to jot down all the numbers of Eddie's friends, the group calling each number one by one to try and see if anyone knew where he was or where he would be.

The shop had to be open again cause Keith was complaining, (y/n) keeping her disguise on as she talked to someone on the phone while Steve was off talking to some chick and recommending a movie to her. "So, my boyfriend won't, like,totally puke when I bring it home"

"Oh, you... your boyfriend?"

"And another one bites the dust!" (y/n) says and Robin looks over at her with wide eyes.

"You! You just-did you remember something?" she gasps out and even Steve was shocked while (y/n) was just confused.

"What?"

"You used to say that all time at scoops ahoy when Steve fails!" Robin says.

"What like a scoreboard?" both ex-icecream employees exclaim happily.

"Exactly like a scoreboard!"

"I hate to admit it but I think this is helping you get your memories back." Billy chuckles lightly, crossing off a name on the whiteboard.

"More like I'm just really predictable." his love says before calling another number. "Hi there, I'm (d/n) and I'm a friend of Eddie Munson. I was wondering if you had seen him anywhere or if he dropped to visit you. I don't have his number and I really need to talk to him about a summer school class test we have." Billy was amused at how easily the lies spilled from (y/n), like a smooth customer service rep. "Reefer Rick? Does this Reefer Rick have a last name?" the person on the other line suddenly goes on about a story of this Rick guy and how Eddie buys his drugs from him.

Damn and he does drugs too. Cool!

"Ok thank you so much for your help. Have a lovely day!" the call ends and (y/n) sets the phone away. "Ok, I think I have a lead."

"Seriously!?" Dustin gasps happily.

"Yeah anyway, so Eddie gets his drugs from a guy called Reefer Rick and sometimes crashes at his place. Unfortunately, I didn't get an address cause apparently no one knows. Mans a legend or something."

"What about a last name?" Dustin asks but Steve suddenly jumps in about the cops having Ricks's name or Eddie in the system for selling drugs. Dustin busts Steve about him thinking Eddie was guilty as the couple just stayed out of the argument.

"He's jealous of Eddie." (y/n) chuckles lightly.

"What do you mean?" Billy says, leaning against the counter next to his love as she sat cross-legged on top of it.

"Eddie being Dustins main bestie now. Boy doesn't hang out with Steve as much anymore."

"That's just sad." Billy says and (y/n) nods, staring at the store computer that was beeping and she gets an idea.

"Guys enough, please. Robin, do you think you can get a list of Ricks from your system? This town is extremely small and this is the only video store here. Might be highly unlikely but-"

"-if we can narrow it down, I think we can get our Rick's address! If he rents movies here."

"Big if." the older girls hi-five and Robin goes straight to work.

"There are 12 Ricks that have an account with us!"

"There you go!" (y/n) claps, letting the video experts narrow it down to who they think their Rick is.

"Bingo!" Dustin laughs, the group finding the address for their drug dealing Reefer Rick. "That's out by Lovers Lake."

"Middle of nowhere."

"It's a perfect place to hide." (y/n) says and everyone nods. "Let's go!" the group hustle it out of the store, Robin locking the doors behind her as (y/n) and Billy get into his car and the rest jump into Steves's car.

~~~~~~~~
It was pitch black by the time the group got to the house by Lovers Lake, quietly getting out of their cars with flashlights and walking around the place. "Idiots..." (y/n) sighs as Dustin went to ring the doorbell multiple times and called out loudly while banging on the door, Billy holding his love close to make sure she doesn't stray too far. "If you were on the run from the police, would you answer to someone ringing the doorbell!?" the group looks at (y/n).
"You know what, she has a point. You probably scared him off Dustin!" Steve whisper yells at the boy, the couple walking off around the corner to find a boat shed.
"Oi dumbasses! There's a shed." Billy whispers before the group head down to it. Robin went in first to open the door, her calling out. The door squeaked violently every time someone pushed it open to walk into the shed, making it even more eery at how still and quiet everything was.
"Eddie?" (y/n) whispers, her mind screaming at her to shut the fuck up cause of horror movie logic: why the fuck would you yell out in the open screaming for help when it reveals where you are to the psycho killer!? Just keep it quiet and run like hell!
"This place's a fucking dump." Billy whispers, dropping his cig on the ground before putting it out with his foot, blowing smoke in the air. He felt like he shouldn't be here at all but was only here for (y/n). He grabbed a metal pole that was lying on the floor, keeping close to (y/n) as the group searched around the place. Steve went to grab an oar off the wall when he noticed some tarps on a boat and went to hit it.
"The fuck you doing!? You really out here trying to hurt the guy!?" (y/n) whispers, Billy narrowing his eyes at her. She was caring yes but he couldn't help but feel like she cared about this random punk a little too much.
"Considering everyone in this roomhas nearly died a hundred times-" Steve suddenly lets out a shrill scream-along with everyone else in the shed-as a figure jumps out of the boat and slams him against the wall.
"Eddie! Eddie stop!" everyone was screaming at him to not hurt Steve as he held a broken beer bottle to his neck. He glared at everyone, narrowing his eyes on Steve as fear fuelled adrenaline filled his body.
"It's me! It's Dustin!" the boy tries to calm his older friend. "This is Steve. He's not gonna hurt you, right, Steve?" the older guy nods slightly, saying that he won't hurt Eddie and Dustin asks him to drop the oar. (y/n) quickly catches it to not make any noise since she saw how on edge Eddie was but his eyes widen when he catches sight of her.
"(d/n)? What are you doing here?"
"Eddie, we're here to help ok? We wanted to see if you were ok." she whispers, slowly putting the oar down silently as Eddie watched her every move. The rest of the group ignored the fake name, letting the most caring person in the group to do her magic. She was the only one who could really make anyone else feel calm and soothe them if they were down in their feels. "We're Dustin's friends and we want to help you." Dustin introduces everyone to Eddie as he looks at them in confusion but fear, unsure if he could trust these people.
"Eddie. We're on your side." Dustin says. "I swear on my mother!"
"On your mother? That's kinda sick man." (y/n) says and everyone glares at her and she raises her hands in defence. "Ok ok, jeez. Yes, I swear on Dustin's mother." Everyone else swears on the kid's poor unknowing mother. Everyone waited anxiously and let out a sigh of relief when Eddie drops Steve and walks away.
