"You don't think the killer the police are trying to find is Eddie Munson? Do you?" Max asks and Dustin gasps in offence at the accusation while (y/n) was just trying to understand how this all fits together. He had explained to the girls of the weird things he saw yesterday night when he went to the trailer park to return Eddie some D&D equipment. The rabid dogs barking, the flickering lights and then the screaming before Eddie ran out of his trailer and drove off in his van.

"Eddie is not a killer! He's nothing like that!"

"He is a freak-"

"-he doesn't kill Max! You don't know him like I do!" (y/n) sighs in annoyance, getting up to get a drink from the fridge and letting the kids duke it out themselves over whether or not Eddie Munson had the balls to kill someone in cold blood. She hears the front door open and looks over to see Billy walk in, confusion on his face seeing Dustin arguing with his sister.

"What's shitheels freak friend doing here?" he raises a brow, noticing how annoyed his love looks as she pinches the bridge of her nose. Dustin and Max were yelling at each other and (y/n) slams her hands on the counter.

"Sit down!" they both shut up quickly, even Billy flinching. The kids keep their mouths shut and blink at each other. "Look, I don't think Eddie would've "killed" this student ok." (y/n) air quotes and Billy crosses his arms in confusion.

"Ok, someone explain who killed who cause I fucking don't like where this is going." Dustin warily explains everything to Max's brother, showing him the news on the TV.

"And how would you know that Eddie isn't capable of murdering someone?" Max huffs.

"Look, I get it the mans a metalhead. Doesn't mean he is capable or even close to being capable. I highly doubt he would be able to go head to head with blood and gore in real life ok." (y/n) sits down on the couch next to Max.

"And you managed to get all that when he was with you and Billy two nights ago-" the older girl slaps a hand to the younger one's mouth.

"Don't you even think about it!"

"What!? Why was Eddie here two nights ago!?" Dustin gasps and everyone looks at him.

"Don't you even dare tell him or I'll skin you both alive." (y/n) warns Max and Dustin, glaring at Billy as well since he was smirking at her. "That includes you too Hargrove." the older girl hisses and he immediately raises his hands in defeat.

"So it wasn't Eddie, I know it wasn't him and even (y/n) agrees, for some reason..." Dustin says.

"So this murder thing happened exactly last night. Did anyone experience anything weird?" (y/n) asks and everyone shakes their head. "Either way, I think we should try and find him, ask him what happened cause fuck if we try to get a year free from Upside Down monsters..." the older girl mumbles out and everyone goes rigid.

"You think this might be an Upside Down issue?" the kids ask (y/n) who gawks at their idiocy.

"Are you fucking kidding me!? Duh! Hawkins is not Hawkins without its creatures! There's no way this town is going to even try being normal anymore!"

"But we closed the gate. We killed the Mindflayer and-" the kids wince, looking at (y/n).

"I know I know. Look whatever this is, we need to make sure it doesn't hurt anyone anymore-"

"-no, absolutely fucking not! We're leaving!" Billy exclaims, not taking the chance to lose any more of his family to the demons he witnessed and will never forget months ago. "We are not throwing ourselves into life or death situations again!" he grabs (y/n)'s hand, intending to start packing to leave but she pulls back. "(y/n)-"

"-Billy, I know that this isn't ideal... we just started living a normal life but if there is some monster coming back from the Upside Down, I don't want them to hurt the group." Billy pursed his lips, angry that his love would even want to stay after everything she went through after the StarCourt Mall.

"No. We're leaving and that's final! You're going nowhere near this shit!" he moves to grab her hand again but she shoves him off.

"Billy please, I knew something bad was going to happen when I was in California. I came here for that reason."

"(y/n) please don't-"

"-Billy..." (y/n) begs, moving to hold his hands in hers gently to try and calm him down. "We have to help them, help Max, her mum... the group. Please. I don't want any of them getting hurt."

"I can't lose you, not again... not like last time..." Billy frowns as his love reaches up to hold his face, holding her hand with his against his cheek. "I can't go through that again... It would kill Max... kill me..." he whispers.

"You're my family Billy, but so are they and I don't want to abandon them when they need us... You all are everything I have left..." Billy falters at (y/n)'s words, understanding exactly why she didn't want to abandon everyone. She made the mistake of doing that once with her brother... she was not going to make that same mistake again.

He sighs in defeat, nodding as he leaned to gently kiss her palm that held his cheek. "Fine, because I know shitheel is also not going to leave her friends and come to Cali with us. She's a fighter, not a coward like me."

"You're not a coward! You just want us safe. You protect us Billy." (y/n) shuts down the idea that her love thought of himself as a coward when he was far from it. "You protect your family."

"Fucking hell..." he groans softly with a smile, leaning down to kiss his loves forehead. "I can't believe we're going through this shit again."

"Stop complaining, we've been through this 4 times!" Dustin calls out. "Now are you done playing house cause we need to find Eddie!"

"And how do you think we're going to do that!?" Billy snaps at the kid, annoyed by him. "Munson could be anywhere, hell he might've just left Hawkins!"

"No, he wouldn't have left or gone too far away from his uncle. He has to still be here!" Dustin says. "But we need help."

"Help? What kind of help?" (y/n) asks and Dustin rocks on his feet nervously but Billy immediately realises.

"No! We are not going to Harrington! I will not be in the same fucking room as that bitch boy!"

"Billy!" (y/n) warns him and he rolls his eyes.

"After what he did to you, no!" he exclaims back to his love, remembering that whole milkshake incident.

"I'm still peeved at what he did but if Dustin says we need his help, then we need his help! We don't have the original group here! Half of them are in California and even the fighting parents aren't here! We don't have the manpower like we did last time so we need all the help we can get!" Billy runs his hands down his face, absolutely annoyed but he agrees with (y/n).

"Fine. Everyone get ready to go in 10."

"One problem though..." Dustin says.

"Now what kid?" Billy crosses his arms.

"Robin might be an issue."

"Shit, she doesn't know I'm alive..." (y/n) mutters out. "But it should be ok, right? You did say to approach everyone one by one. Maybe this time is better than ever to show up and be like 'hey, your bestie rose from the dead' ya know." she asks her boyfriend who sighs in defeat. He was so done at this point.

"I think it should be fine. Let's just hurry up and get going!" Max says and everyone rushes to get ready.

"I used to have what!?" (y/n) gasps as she looks in the back to see guns on the car floor, Dustin being careful to not mess with them with his feet.

"Yeah, ever since you learned about the Upside Down, you and Nancy were badass with your guns!" Max exclaims.

"You kept them in a bag in your house. That's why we have so many." Billy says and he chuckles seeing his love look at him with wide eyes.

"I have guns!? In my old house!?" she hisses lowly, afraid that someone might hear her. "I have truly become an American nightmare..."

"That's exactly what you said last time!" Dustin chuckles.

"Jesus fucking christ what have I become..." (y/n) groans lightly, leaning back in the car as Billy drove them to the video store where Steve and Robin worked. She still had to wear a disguise in case someone in town recognised her. It's a small town, everyone knows everyone's business especially if some declared dead girl comes back alive.

"Ok, we're here." Billy parks and cuts the engines off, everyone getting out of the car and walking into the store which was conveniently empty except for the employees.

"Steve!" Dustin calls out, the man turning around and beaming in excitement to see his best friend while Max, Billy and (y/n) went around and closed all the blinds and locked the doors.

"Henderson!" Steve walks around the counter to hug the boy but stops in his tracks as he sees (y/n). "You shouldn't be here! What if Robin-"

"-hey! What are you guys doing locking the store!? You don't work here!" the said girl says, confused but concerned as she notices the kids looking at her wearily with Billy and some strange girl. "I don't have all day!"

(y/n) looks around, making sure it was all clear before taking her cap and sunnies off. "Hey, Robin..."
