(y/n) - your name
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"For fucks sake! You gotta be shitting me right now!" (y/n) screams out, slamming her hand against the dashboard of her car as the engine sputters and dies on her. She tried turning her key to get the car working again but nothing, it just doesn't work. She groans out in frustration, leaning her forehead against the wheel before grabbing her stuff and cutting the engine off to get out of her car. "I'm gonna be so late to school." (y/n) decides to start walking down the street towards the school, hands shoved in her hoodie pockets.
Billy casually walks out of the house sporting his famous all denim outfit, not caring that he was going to be late for school. The little redhead was already gone so Billy got in his car and blasted his music before speeding down the street. His sunnies hung low on his nose, a cigarette hanging on his lips as he saw a figure walking down the empty street. He paid no mind to this random person, driving past them while looking in the review mirror.
"(y/n)?" Billy quickly stopped his car, leaning out the window to take a better look. Yeah, it was her and she looked pissed off as fuck. Also, why was she walking? Billy reverses the car, stopping next to (y/n) who yawned out. "Need a lift princess?" Billy calls out and she turns in surprise to see him there next to her in his car. To be honest, she thought he would just continue driving off.
"What are you still doing here? Schools starting. Did you only just wake up now or something?" (y/n) asks and Billy rolls his eyes, opening up the passenger side door while ignoring her questions. "Are you sure?"
"Nah, I can just leave your ass here and drive off." Billy tuts. "Hurry up and get the fuck in." (y/n) quickly scrambles in, closing the door and buckling in with her bag on her lap as Billy drives off.
"Billy," the boy turns around to face (y/n), her taking him by surprise as she takes his cigarette and throws it out the window on the road. "not around me." Billy scowls but doesn't take out another stick.
"Why were you walking?"
"My car wasn't working. I don't know why, I'm not an expert in mechanics or that sort of shit..." Billy chuckles in amusement at how annoyed (y/n) sounded, leaning her head back on the seat as she closed her eyes. "Did Max get to school already?"
"Her little freak friends picked her up. Good fucking riddance too." Billy scoffs. "I was not in the mood to wake up this morning and looks like you feel the same." (y/n) groans out softly.
"I just want to sleep..."
"Then sleep. I'm not stopping you but if you drool on my leather seats I'm throwing you out." (y/n) snorts lightly, turning over to see Billy concentrated on the road. He was gorgeous, especially those blue eyes of his and that cologne. God, she wanted to know the brand of the cologne so she could buy one for herself. Men's colognes smelled much better than women's perfumes in her opinion.. (y/n) closed her eyes before he could catch her staring at him, curling up into the seat.
"Wake me up when we get there..." Billy doesn't say anything, driving to the school. After some time, he was nearing the building but slowly stops at the side of the road. He looks down at (y/n), her head bowed as her hood fell over her head, clutching her bag tightly to her chest.
"Fuck it..." Billy revs up his car again and drives away from the school, deciding to take the long scenic route. Hell, he was planning on ditching anyway and the girl next to him obviously needed sleep. Billy drove around for a couple of hours down empty highways that passed down fields and forests, stopping at the docks that he found on one of his night drives.
Billy stretches and turns to wake (y/n), stopping when she sighs out softly and turns her head. Her hoodie falls and Billy stares at her as she breathes softly, her glasses falling down her nose and her hair falling over her face. There was that sweet floral scent again, taking over the smell of the cigarettes and Billy leans over to brush her soft hair back.
Good girl has a pinch of bad.
Billy raises a brow at the three ear piercings (y/n) had, leaning over to slowly take her glasses off. She scrunched her nose softly, and Billy stares at her lips which were parted lightly. Full and so pink- "What the fuck man..." he quickly sits back, sighing softly. Billy places (y/n)'s glass on her bag, deciding it was time to drive back to the hell hole of a school. He gets there just before lunch, parking near the building and shakes (y/n) awake.
"What...?" (y/n) groans out, opening her eyes to see she was at the school but the parking lot was empty. "How late are we?" she sighs out, rubbing her eyes and noticing her glasses had fallen off, putting them back on.
"I'd say, half a day."
"What!?" Billy raises a brow at the anxious girl. "Why-"
"-I didn't feel like being around a bunch of fuckers and you clearly needed the sleep." Billy gets out of his car, leaning against the hood as (y/n) also scrambles out. "I'm betting you've never skipped class before-"
"-no never! The high school I went to didn't like us ditching plus there was really no way of leaving like here. The gates were locked until 3 pm."
"That sounds like a fucking prison." Billy snickers, looking at (y/n) who stood next to him.
"Believe me, it was. Every high school is a fucking prison."
"Cheers to that." Billy says as he pulls out a couple of cans of beer from his car, passing it to (y/n) who shook her head.
"I don't like beer, it takes like soap-" Billy spurts out his beer in laughter at that remark.
"-you've got to be fucking kidding me right? Is that why you gave me the six-pack the first night you got here?"
"Duh."
"That's a first..." the bell signalling lunch rings out and (y/n) decides its time to head in, turning around to wave goodbye to Billy.
"Thanks for dropping me off! See you around Billy!" the girl runs off inside the school leaving him to stand astounded from the smile she gave him as she ran off and he felt warm.
(y/n) snuck into the cafeteria, seeing Nancy and Jonathan sitting together at a table to have lunch together until they saw her and waved her over to them. "Where have you been?" Nancy asked as (y/n) sat down next to her.
"I woke up late today." She lies seamlessly, looking over at the cafeteria doors that open to reveal Billy walking in and being instantly greeted by his posse. He and (y/n) look at each other briefly before the both of them turn away. "Where's Steve?"
"I don't know, he said he had to do something." Jonathan replies back.
"Right, so what did I miss so far?"
~~~~~~~~
"Ok and this is how you solve this equation." Nancy mumbles out as she teaches (y/n) the formulas for chemistry, the poor girl not understanding anything that was chemistry related except for the damn equations.
"I'm going to fail this class..." (y/n) groans out, flopping back on Nancy's bed as she chuckles at her.
"You'll do fine. It's more memorisation from a textbook than experiments and applying the stuff. So it'll be a breeze for you."
"And thank god for that. I dropped this class in my last high school cause we had to do reports on experiments. At least it's easier here but still!" The girls chuckle lowly and Nancy stretches.
"Let's take a break."
"Are you sure again that it's ok for me to sleepover here?"
"How many times do I have to tell you!? Of course it's ok! I was excited when you told me you were staying tonight."
Yeah cause I got no ride home...
"Girls, I got you some snacks." Karen soon walked in with a platter of snacks, setting it down on the bed between the girls.
"Thank you so much... Karen..." (y/n) shuddered lightly, not used to talking to an adult by their first name. It was weird...
"No problem! Now I don't want you staying up too late. There's still school tomorrow. So go to sleep when you're done studying." Karen says as she walks off and Nancy takes some snacks but (y/n) doesn't eat any since it was past 8 pm.
"I think I'm done with chemistry, can we look at something else please. My eyes are hurting from looking at this shit." Nancy chuckles and nods, standing up to grab her books as (y/n) stands up to stretch from sitting down for so long. She looks out the open window, catching a glimpse of a familiar car until she heard loud honking.
"Who's that?" Nancy frowns at the disruption, leaning out her window and gasping. "Is that Hargrove!?"
"Billy?" (Y/n) mumbles out in worry, quickly packing up her stuff thinking that something was wrong that he had come to get her from Nancy's place. He saw the note she left him and Max in the mailbox.
"(Y/n) what-"
"-I'm so sorry Nancy, but I have to go. We'll have the sleepover another time. I promise!" She bolts down the stairs, yelling out a goodbye to Karen, Ted, Mike and Holly who squeals goodbye before (y/n) jumped outside after putting her shoes on.
