Chapter 3- Calm
"Ok ok," Wilbur backed up, looking at Tommy who had a fearful expression. Techno walked back in, holding a warm cup of tea. He looked at Phil who looked about ready to bolt.
"Woah, we aren't gonna hurt you." He slowly placed the tea down on a table. Showing his open empty hands, treating him like a wild animal. "How about we calm down, you're safe." Phil loosened his grip on the collar, his breathing slowing down back to normal.
"Ok, ok." He sighed, voice slightly shakey. "Yeah... Sorry, sorry about that." He muttered. Wilbur picked up the tea and handed it to him.
"How about you sit down and chill out." Phil took the cup and nodded. Slowly sitting down on the couch near by, still slightly nervous. He stared at the tea, taking a small sip before looking around him.
The couch was a nice grey, with blue pillows at the ends. Coffee tables lay at the ends of the couch with coasters. Infront of him was a wooden table, probably made of dark oak. Six chairs pushed in around it with a vase holding cornflowers and daisy's. The kitchen was behind a long stretch of counter that separated the living room and the dining room. With a stove and cabinets. To the right was a hallway, he could only assume had bedrooms and maybe a bathroom. Overall, a pretty nice house, with the soft beige carpet and spruce wooden walls.
"Hey, I can take that collar off." Phil snapped out of his trance and laid his eyes on Tommy. He held a screw driver in his hand, pointing at his neck.
"Oh, that would be nice, thank you." Phil said softly, lifting his chin up so he could better access it. It only took a few seconds before it popped off, and he held the broken collar in his hand.
"Geez, this thing looks like it hurts." Tommy muttered, handing it to Wilbur. Phil shrugged and continued to sip at the tea. Was it jasmine? It smelled very nice. Techno sat down at the other end of the couch, sighing and leaning back.
"So Phil," he stopped drinking the tea and looked at the pig. "You wanna stay or what?" Techno flashed him a small grin. He blinked, looking at the other two, not too sure if they were in the same boat. Wilbur smiled and Tommy was stomping on the collar, before grinning back.
"Oh, I mean, that's fine with me. I have no where to go." Phil responded, giving a small shrug. He wasn't too used to having a normal conversation, that didn't involve threatening or some form of order.
"Aye! Welcome to the sleepy family Phil!" Wilbur shouted, seeming very happy about the news. Phil chuckled and placed the tea on the coffee table.
"Are you guys siblings?" He asked, Techno shook his head.
"Nah, I'm not related to these losers. We're just some random people living together. Friends." Techno answered, Tommy shouting an offended hey. Wilbur sat down next to him, a grin on his face.
"So.... Where did you come from?" Wilbur was quick to clarify as soon as he saw Phil's confused expression. "I mean, before the lab and all."
"I bet he came from outer space." Tommy commented.
"Shut up you gremlin child... Also, pick that up and throw it away!" Tommy huffed and began to pick up the remains of the collar. Phil blinked, he knew where, that's for sure. Just how does he explain it?
"Uh, an entirely different universe. Me being the only intelligent being there." Phil explained. In his many years living in Minecraft, he never saw another being like him. He couldn't even remember how he learned to speak or write. The only possible explanation being that his parents died before he could remember them. Or the villagers had taught him.
"Really? That seems horrible." Tommy said, sitting in a chair at the table. Phil chuckled and shook his head.
"It wasn't. I built all sorts of things there. If anything, the loneliness is all I've ever known." Wilbur frowned,
"Still sounds like shit." Tommy muttered,
"Shush child! Or else I'm sending you outside again." Wilbur snapped, causing Phil to burst out laughing. Techno chuckled, as the two laughed.
"You guys are so weird!"
"Another nightmare?" Phil looked behind him to see Techno, walking out of the house. He slowly sat next to him on the porch. Phil nodded, looking back to the stars. "What was it about?" He sighed, a sad smile crossing his lips.
"I, ugh... It's was about my 'death' in my old world. It's strange, that one nightmare seems to scare me the most." Techno hummed in response. It had been a few weeks since he first arrived at the sleepy boys house. Phil often going into the forest to collect food or fish. Fishing being one of his favorite things to do, especially at night.
They had gotten into a nice routine. Wilbur and Techno going out to work, Tommy going off to vist friends, and Phil getting food or just exploring. It was the life Phil loved, even if he still missed his old world.
"Y'know, baby zombies still sacre the shit out of me." Phil broke the silence, earned a small laugh from Techno. "Why are you awake?" He instantly stopped smiling.
"I have sleeping problems just like you. Kinda ironic since we're called the sleepy boys but two of us struggle to sleep." Phil nodded. The two continued to sit in silence, staring at the stars and moon, that shone on them.
"Let's go back to bed." Phil got up, and opened the door. Techno slowly got up and entered it, Phil closing it behind. Why did the old memories hurt the most. He carefully touched his neck, not feeling the old metal collar.
