I promise you the rest of what will happen in this story is not just another version of the winter soldier movie. so pls don't think you've already predicted the rest of this story because I can still change things and shift things around.
if you don't know what I'm talking about, ignore this and read on ☺️
up above is Sami Rashidi, a new character who's POV is shown later on in this chapter :)

"Who the hell is Scarlett?"
My mind was sent reeling at her words, unable to comprehend or process the image of her standing in front of me. My eyes blinked once, lips still parted in shock as I tried to remember how to breathe, unable to speak, totally stunned as her words bounced around inside my skull.
"Scarlett," I said again, her name coming out in a mere whisper.
Her eyes flickered to the right before she quickly reached for a gun, lying on the floor and aimed it at me. But I was still in shock, standing there dumbfounded with my gun lowered and eyes widened. Just as she fired it, a body collided with me harshly out of nowhere, knocking me to the ground. It was Seth. But I couldn't care less that she tried to shoot me, she was getting away.
"Scarlett!" I yelled, scrambling to my feet again as she sprinted away before jumping over the edge of the roof.
My breath got caught in my throat when she grabbed the ladder the helicopter had let out, and was hovering around waiting for her. She hung onto the ladder, not climbing up yet as the helicopter flew away, her gazing back at me. My knees buckled as I watched her fly away, me wild-eyed and bewildered as I could only hear one thought loud and clear in my head.
Scarlett was alive.
~-~
"He's in shock," Jade stated, putting a hand on my shoulder and squeezing it as a comforting gesture. But my face was still stuck in an incredulous expression, eyes unblinking and staring ahead as my mind ran wild.
"Are you sure it was her?" Damien whispered quietly to Seth, who began to speak up I cut him off.
"It was her. It was Scarlett," I finally spoke firmly, my eyes flitting to Damien.
"He's right, I saw her too," Seth muttered.
We had now returned to Nevada. It was around 1 AM in the morning, but we had to sit in the conference room and ponder over this. Along with Valkyrie, Spencer, Louis and Dexter were here as well. When Jade told them the news, they were almost as shocked as I was; confused even as to how had she survived and managed to stay alive all this time.
"Did she say anything?" Vicky asked softly, her big blue eyes concerned as she huddled close to Spencer and waited for my response.
"I-I said her name, and she said..." I trailed off, shaking my head in disbelief as I felt like crying.
"She said?" Max pressed on gently, as I pressed my lips together tightly, a single tear rolling down my cheek.
"She said, who the hell is Scarlett?" I whispered, watching everyone's expressions drop and some grow pale.
"She doesn't remember," Vlad said gruffly. "This doesn't make sense, Absalon did the DNA test that body he found should've been hers," Vlad muttered in confusion. "But It's not."
"Do you think he's allies with Omega? What if they offered him something they wanted?" Jade brought up, causing Vlad to shake his head immediately.
"Absalon owes Ford his life. He's our most trusted ally; he wouldn't do that. Plus, I saw the results and they matched," Vlad pursed his lips, looking utterly frustrated with this impossible puzzle.
"Well it was her. I'm sure of it," I insisted, before I inhaled deeply and exhaled. "Okay y'know what, let's just forget about how they faked her death and why she can't remember me. The only way we'll find out is if we abduct her and someone else from their team." Everyone gazed at me wide-eyed as if I just suggested something crazy.
"That's incredibly risky, son," Vlad reminded me. "We couldn't even take any of them down today, how are we going to managed abducting two of them?"
"I don't care if it's risky Vlad, she's my lover and she's alive. We have to get her back, and that has to be through abduction because she doesn't remember me that means she doesn't remember anything about The Organization and her life here," I growled, feeling anger fill up my veins slowly. "We have to try, Vlad. If neither of you are going to help me, I'll fucking go myself, alone," I huffed angrily before Vlad narrowed his eyes at me.
"Harry, we all are willing to help you get her back, but we really have to plan this out properly. You saw what they were like; they could demolish us. I promise you, we'll get her back, but we gotta stop and think for a second," Vlad explained firmly as I stared at him with blazing eyes, before I exhaled heavily and nodded my head.
"You're right," I sighed, folding my arms over my chest, one hand coming up to drag it down the side of my face in dismay.
"I think we should all get some rest. Wake up early and start planning what to do. We'll need more information on them, and their whole team. It can't just be αήττητος (aí̱tti̱tos), there has to be other people like scientists, engineers, people making those indestructible suits," Max rambled, as we all murmured in agreement.
"Max is right. But if we're gonna abduct another person, it has to be the one who made Scarlett forget, or at least some big shot scientist who is creating those suits," Jade spoke up quietly, her expression grim.
"But what if it happened naturally, like retrograde amnesia or something like that? She did fall off a cliff after all, she could've hit her head and damaged her brain," Vicky suggested.
"Actually," Vlad spoke up all of a sudden, slamming his hand onto the table, causing it to light up. "I remember reading about one of their scientists, he's pretty much like Liam but a prodigy. If Scarlett didn't forget due to natural causes, then I'm sure this is the guy who must've cooked up something," Vlad said gruffly, tapping on a few things before a couple of pictures flew up.
"His name is Sami Rashidi, this Egyptian kid who, if I'm correct, is their top most trusted scientists of Omega," Vlad added, as we all thought quietly, too wrapped up in our own thoughts.
"Well it's settled then, Scarlett and Sami," I sighed heavily, chewing on my lip.
One by one, everyone began to leave, bidding each other goodnight before they went off to the apartment building. It was settled that once as soon as we wake up, we begin contacting people in Greece and all around America, asking around and learning more and more information about Omega.
"Harry," a masculine voice pulled me out of my thoughts, as I immediately hummed in response.
"Damien," I nodded as he sat down again, us being the only two in the conference room.
"How are you feeling about all this?" he asked me quietly.
"Honestly, I'm not sure. The only thing on my mind right now is getting her back. I can't even think about the fact that she can't remember me, right now, okay well maybe it'll come to me at night or something-" I began to ramble before I realized tears were pricking my eyes, threatening to spill. "Fucking hell, Damien."
"Harry," he pursed his lips sympathetically, hand reaching out to clasp my arm reassuringly.
"Damien, she doesn't remember me, that means she doesn't love me."

Two days later
S A M I 🔬
I sighed heavily under my breath, cupping my hands together to hold Marvin the mouse carefully as I walked to, Aim-S, the cloning machine I had just invented. It had broken down after using it to clone that new girl who Viola brought in around two months ago. Ever since then I worked tirelessly to perfect it, triple-checking everything before testing it on an animal again.
It consisted of two large chambers, big enough for one person to fit in each. Multiple wires were hooked up to fairly sized compartments, a buzzing noise emitting once I fired up the machine and pulling my goggles on. I pushed my finger against a large red button, causing the whirring noise of the machine to louden and increase in pitch before a large flash of light sparked from both chambers. Just as quickly as the process had begun, it ended; the whirring dying down as I pulled my goggles off and rushed over to the second chamber on the left.
Swinging the door open, I grinned widely, happy to see that a tiny white mouse, identical to Marvin, was sitting there looking perfectly healthy. Just as I ducked down to pick him up, a voice spoke up from behind me.
"It works!" Phoenix cheered, applauding with a grin as I dramatically took a bow with a proud smile etched onto my face.
"Indeed," I beamed happily, picking up Marvin and his clone from each of the chambers and gently putting them back in their cages.
"That's great, Sami," she praised me, approaching me with a smile. Her expression soon turned serious when she remembered why she came here in the first place. "Hey, I need to talk to you about something."
"Sure, what is it?" I asked her, giving my full attention.
"Something weird happened when αήττητος (aí̱tti̱tos), went on that mission to eliminate the Obsidian Order. We unexpectedly came face to face with Valkyrie, from The Organization, y'know the agency we've been preparing to demolish this whole time," she explained as I listened attentively.
"Donovan gave the order for us to leave, since obviously Viola wanted us to leave The Organization for last rather than taking them down right then. So, while we were leaving we got caught up in a fight with Valkyrie," she carried on, as I waited for her to get to the main part of her story. "I was fighting this man, and half way through the fight my mask fell off. Sami, when I turned around that man looked shocked."
"Shocked?" I furrowed my brows.
"Yeah! Shocked as in shocked to see me, he looked surprised. I was just as confused as you are right now! But then he said something, a name. It was Scarlett," she told me, her voice dropping instantly as if she was afraid someone would hear us.
As soon as she mentioned that name, my body tensed, my expression changing significantly. She noticed this, narrowing her eyes suspiciously, obviously being able to tell that I knew who 'Scarlett' was and probably why that man looked like he knew her.
"Sami, that man knew who I was. He thinks I'm Scarlett, whoever the fuck that is," she said, her eyes averting to the floor as she thought to herself before her gaze flickered back up. "Do you have any idea why that man would know me? Since from what Viola's told me, I've been part of Omega for my entire life for as long as I remember?"
"I-I," I stuttered, unsure of what to say. Phoenix was slowly beginning to figure out that she wasn't always part of this agency that she had a past before all this madness with Viola's ultimate plan to demolish all these organizations came in.
"You're stuttering. You know something don't you?" Phoenix arched a brow at me, her eyes gazing at me in a skeptical way.
"Look Phoenix, I honestly don't know the guy whom you're talking about, or why he thinks you look like some chick he probably was in love with-"
"He didn't think I looked like her, he thought I was her, Sami! C'mon help me out with this," she scowled in frustration. "Why can't I remember my past Sami? I know Viola always told me I grew up training to become part of αήττητος in Omega, but why can't I remember that? It's like when I try to remember it, my memory is blank."
"I dunno, maybe you have a bad memory," I shrugged lightly, causing her to scowl and smack my head harshly. "Ow! What was that for?"
"For being a dick," she snapped, her eyes filling up with anger. "I'm not dumb Sami. I've known all along that I don't belong here and I was never part of Omega, seeing that man that night is confirmation enough. I don't remember anything of what Viola told me about my past, but I swear if you know something about it and you're keeping it from me, Viola won't be the only person you're afraid of," she snarled, seething as she gazed at me with vexed eyes.
"What's going on here?" A feminine voice spoke up, causing my heart to drop in my chest as Phoenix pulled back with a tight frown. "Phoenix, you're supposed to be training. Get back to the training room."
Phoenix threw another vexed glare at me before exiting the room, leaving me with the one and only Viola. Viola was the leader of Omega, the toughest woman I had ever met in my life. Her aura was intimidating, as well as challenging, almost daring everyone to come at her so that she could knock him or her down with her powerful words. She was the definition of savage.
"You're probably wondering if I heard anything of what you two were talking about," she spoke loudly, her voice echoing throughout the room as she walked with her hands behind her back.
"Well did you?" I questioned.
"I did," she uttered, her expression completely grim, dark eyes watching me like a hawk as I gulped visibly.
"I promise you, I didn't tell her anything," I already began defending myself, my green eyes wide with slight fright as she chuckled lightly.
"Don't look so scared, boy. I'm not gonna eat you," she continued to chuckle before her laughter died down and she became more serious. "I'm worried she's going to start remembering about her real past."
"You don't have to worry about that," I immediately shook my head. "The microchip we implanted in her head is 100% efficient in locking away all the memories of her past. It's my best invention, I promise you it won't fail us," I reassured her firmly, making her nod.
"Is there no way to upgrade it just in case?" she questioned, making me purse my lips.
"I could make a better version but there would be no point, we don't have a neurosurgeon to take out the other microchip in her brain. Plus it's too risky, just gotta have some faith in this one," I told her as she nodded curtly.
"But Viola," I spoke up, causing her gaze to flicker back to me again. "Since that random dude called her Scarlett, she has more hope and proof that her past doesn't consist of Omega, that there was something more than that. She will not rest until she finds out, even if she doesn't remember," I told her somberly.
"I suppose we'll have to keep a closer eye on her, make sure she isn't snooping around and poking her nose in places where it shouldn't be. I'll make sure she's busy, training to the fullest so that she has no time to even consider finding out who 'Scarlett' is," Viola smirked as I simply nodded in response.
In all honesty, I didn't know much about Phoenix's past either. I was only part of the 'making her forget' part, with the whole microchip business. All I knew was that we had to fake her death somehow and use her, as a super-assassin along with the others. I didn't know that she was supposedly part of The Organization, and I didn't know all of Viola's intentions. Part of me really wanted to help Phoenix, but the other rational part of me told me not to, since my family was in danger and if I ever disobeyed Viola, she would make sure my family never ceased to exist.

🔫 What do you guys think of Sami?
🔫 To clear things up even more, Scarlett isn't brainwashed. She's got a microchip in her brain that locks away those memories of her past with Harry and The Organization. The memories still exist, they're just 'hidden away' 😉
🔫 Any predictions for the coming chapters😛?
