H A R R Y 🔫

2 weeks later

Two weeks had passed by and there was no sign of Omega planning an attack against us. Niall and his team had worked incredibly hard in keeping their eyes on Omega, while Valkyrie trained endlessly from day to night. We were completely worn out by the end of the two weeks, but even then our exhaustion passed by quicker than normal because of another serum Liam designed where it made us more energetic and lest tired. We were injected with that obviously under Ford's orders.

These were the thoughts that ran through my head as I brought my water bottle back up to my lips, taking another sip before I set it down and pushed myself off the ground. Kendrick slipped on his boxing punch pads, before standing in the middle of the ring. I approached him and we begun our training once again. My arms swung continuously, eyes bright and alert as I ducked and struck my fists multiple times.

"You're ready," he said when I stopped to take a breath, making me nod slightly.

"You think so?"

"I know so," he said firmly, removing the pads and squeezing my shoulder. "Go make me proud boy."

"Will do Kenny," I grinned, making him scowl at me, whacking my head with his punching pad. "Hey!" I yelped when he did so.

"How many times did I tell you not to call me that?" he shook his head me, as I grinned cheekily.

"I dunno, like sixty-nine times," I shrugged, pulling my gloves off.

"Wow, you counted?" he arched a brow at me in amusement.

"No that's the first number that popped into my head," I responded with a dirty smirk, causing him to shake his head.

"Enough with you. Off you go," he chased me away, waving his arms as I protested nevertheless leaving. "Good luck with your mission!"

"Thanks Kenny!"

"Shut the fuck up!"

Tonight Valkyrie was flying over to Washington DC in our Canadair CL-215, the one Absalon lent us when we were in Norway. But after the trip, he gifted it to us. We were going to visit another assassin agency whom wanted to offer us a deal to become allies, so we would support each other when it came to facing Omega.

A lot of other agencies were becoming more aware of Omega's intentions, but no matter how hard they prepared they were just no match for Omega's assassin team αήττητος (aí̱tti̱tos). Even though they were a team of just five people, they were called super soldiers, indestructible, inviolable, and invincible. The Comet were saying they've never seen anything like it before, an assassin team of five people capable of bringing down huge buildings of trained individuals, with such ease it was unbelievable.

"Go fish," Damien muttered, his voice bringing me out of my thoughts. He was seated next to me, I scowled when him and Jade started arguing.

"Shut the fuck up both of you! I'm trying to read," I snapped, as Damien pulled his brows low at me, shoving my legs off his lap.

"Since when do you read?" Damien questioned with a snicker.

"Since forever, dumbshit," I glared, making him shake his head with laughter.

"To Kill A Mockingbird?" Jade arched a brow at me, to which I stuck my tongue out at her.

"It was Scarlett's favorite book. I thought I'd give it a read," I grumbled, bringing my lips to a pout as I moved my eyes back to the novel I had in my hand.

"I'm sorry, peach," Jade reached over and pinched my cheek, making me scowl and smack her hand away. She's been calling me that recently and it bothered the fuck out of me. I wasn't a fucking peach!

I parted my lips to swear at her, but soon Vicky came out of the cockpit of the aircraft with a serious expression on her face. She told us that we were getting closer and we needed to carry at least one weapon, and that we needed to suit up. Jade and Vicky were already suited up, therefore they took over flying the plane while Vlad and Max got changed along with the rest of us.

Since we were too busy with getting trained, we never got the time to inject Adamantium into our bodies. This was mainly because the process would a week, to inject it and wait until our bones fully transform into the metal itself. We had to at least be trained and ready before injecting it. Also, we still kept a watch on Omega and it seemed like they were caught up in a messy feud with the Red Nation, another assassin agency.

Liam had worked on creating suits for us infused with Adamantium for extra-protection, along with other cool features that were similar to the custom-made suit Scarlett wore on her first mission. Memories of that mission flooded my brain as I pulled my gloves on and began loading my guns.

After loaded my two favorite Glock 26 guns, I tucked them into my holsters before moving on to also tuck in my knives. Once I was set, I sat back down in my seat, pulling the seatbelt over my chest and clicking it into place. Vlad and Max took their places in the cockpit, as Vicky and Jade came back and took their seats too. My eyes gazed out the window, lips parting in awe as we approached their base. It was huge.

We were landing on the helicopter pad on top of their base, which was a large rectangular five-story modernized building. Once we landed, the circular helicopter pad let out a buzzing noise before it began to descend downwards, taking us into the building. A heavy sigh left my lips as I unbuckled my belt, running a gloved hand through my curls before I exited the aircraft along with the others.

We were escorted to a large conference room by two people, dressed in all blue, just like how The Organization's rule was to dress in all black. The woman and the man whom escorted has had a symbol engraved into the side of their neck, the symbol that stood for their agency, the Obsidian Order. A sigh left my lips as I laid my hand on the hilt of my gun in my holster, hoping this deal of becoming allies would work.

"I'm glad you could make it tonight Vlad," Amanda, a pale blonde woman with the most intimidating steely gray eyes smiled tightly at him.

He sat in front of the woman, while the rest of us stood behind him, seeming slightly more tense than usual. It was rare of assassin agencies to make alliances together, but Ford stressed on it that at a time like this, we needed all the help we could get. There were young people in The Organization, children even, forced into training by their assassin parents. We couldn't let Omega attack us like that and wipe every out as if we were just worthless and deemed as a threat.

"However, I was hoping it was Ford I'd get to see and not you," she said bluntly, pursing her rouge lips as she laced her fingers together.

"Ford is unfortunately at our other base in England. He sent me as a representative," Vlad spoke in his gruff voice, relaxing back in his chair as Amanda scowled slightly.

"And your team? Why did they have to come?" she questioned quite suspiciously making me frown at her inquiring.

"We travel as a team. If you're meeting one of us, you're meeting all of us," I spoke up without hesitation, watching her drop her suspicions and smile eerily.

"Apologies, I didn't meant to sound paranoid," she expressed her regret, confirming my thoughts about her. "Let's get to it shall we? Now you have obviously heard about Omega and the threat they pose to us."

"My boss, Simon, is suggesting that we join in an alliance against Omega. That means when Omega strikes us, you will come to our aid, and vice versa. We've got technology far more advanced that yours, and you've got more people, trained for combat and etc. Do you see where I'm going here?" she continued to talk, waving her hands around with numerous hand gestures as I found myself getting bored.

She continued trying to win us over and agree to the alliance, pulling out videos and clips of their latest technology used for protection, weapons and many more things. My mind began to zone out as she carried on talking, and talking, and talking...

"Harry?" Jade whispered, making me snap out of my thoughts.

"What?"

"Do you hear that?" she mumbled anxiously, blue eyes searching for mine.

"Hear what?" I scowled, eyes flickering to Amanda who was yapping away.

"Listen! It's a weird buzzing noise," she shushed me, pale blue eyes moving around, darting to every corner.

I listened carefully, trying to tune out Amanda's high-pitched voice as I perked my ears. Then I heard it. It was a buzzing noise, like Jade had said. My eyes flickered up to the air vent, locating the noise, before they widened when I saw white smoke swirling through the bars and entering the room.

"Vlad!" I spoke out loud, interrupting whatever Amanda was yakking about. They're heads snapped towards me and I quickly pointed the air vent, taking in a deep breath to hold in while the white gas spread quickly.

"Everyone out of the room!" Amanda ordered loudly, before an ear-piercing screeching noise filled the room and the entire building. "We're under attack!"

We all piled out of the room quickly, watching Amanda yell orders at people whom scattered around. Screams and panicked yells echoed throughout the halls as Valkyrie gathered together forming a tight circle before trying to do anything without a strategic plan.

"Do we bail or do we help?" Jade asked sharply, fingers wrapping around her pistol as she tucked her hair behind her ear.

"We help, but we stick together. I am not losing anyone again," Vlad told us strictly, his beady eyes darting to mine before I nodded curtly.

While the people from Obsidian Order continued flailing around like terrified ants, Valkyrie got into formation. We caught someone yelling that αήττητος were on the roof moving onto the floor above us; some people were already up there battling them. Using the stairs, we headed up to the top floor. Vlad and Max took the front, Vicky and Jade on one side, Damien and Seth on the other while I brought up the back. We moved in this formation, holding our weapons up, loaded and ready, eyes wide and alert to spot any sort of movement.

The floor was empty, people were already evacuating even though we were sure αήττητος were still lurking around on this floor. Suddenly a gun shot rang, a figure running across the hallway in front of us, pulling the trigger a couple times, causing us all to duck, before we moved quickly. But something caught the corner of my eye as I passed through another hallway; bringing up the back of the group. It was a flash of gold. The Phoenix.

Without hesitating, I bounded after her, gripping my gun tightly as I sprinted down the hallway. Pressing my back against the wall, I peered around the corner, watching her disappear around another corner meters away from me. Suddenly, I saw her step out, sending an arrow flying towards me. My breath got caught in my throat as I spun away, just as it whizzed past me, nipping the top of my ear. My hand reached up, touching the shell of my ear only to feel blood coating my fingers.

Clenching my jaw and flaring my nostrils, I turned around, firing my gun a couple of times. The bullets hit the corner of the wall as she disappeared around it, making me lower my gun and sprint once again. But as I ran around the corner, I saw her standing on the helicopter pad with her other team members.

I immediately pulled myself around the curve of the hallway just as they fired a round of bullets at me, including an arrow from The Phoenix. Pressing a finger to the small earpiece situated in my ear, I called for Valkyrie to hurry up since they were getting away. Before I heard the loud buzzing noise I remembered from when we arrived here.

I wheeled around, sprinting and jumping, fingers gripping onto the helicopter pad as it rose up. Pulling my body up and sliding onto the pad, just as the assassins from Omega began to jump onto the roof and sprint away. My eyes squinted in the darkness, looking for any one of the members of Omega to shoot. Immediately, I spotted the shimmering gold symbol of The Phoenix in the distance, making me instantaneously raise my gun up and fire it at her.

She stopped in her tracks, turning around sharply before she dropped her bow to the floor, setting her quiver down. My blazing eyes gazed back at the sliver streaks that served as her 'eyes' on the mask. She cracked her head from side to side and got into a fighting stance. A smirk crawled onto my lips, understanding that she wanted to do this the old-fashioned way as I laid my guns down on the floor before bringing my fists up near my face.

Her feet began moving, sprinting fast before jumping into the air and swinging her leg powerfully at me. I immediately ducked low, knees bending as she missed but soon crouched down and brought her fist up to my jaw. A harsh grunt escaped my lips when her gloved hand struck my jaw painfully hard, my mind unable to process the fact that her knuckles had some sort of indestructible metal infused in the gloves.

I stumbled away, twisting my head to the side to spit out a mouthful of blood before my gaze flickered around. Valkyrie was here, battling Omega just as I was in a brawl with The Phoenix. But I couldn't look around for longer because she was already charging at me once again.

I sucked in a breath, sprinting towards her before dropping to my knees and sliding underneath her as she jumped trying to kick me again. I spun around on my knees, swiping my legs against hers in a semi circle, attempting to knock her to the floor but she sprung up before veering her foot at my face, trying to knock my jaw once again. Fortunately, I caught her leg with both hands, smirking as I twisted it sharply, before tugging harshly causing her to stumble.

Her back hit the floor and I moved to hover over her, but her legs quickly moved, knees to her chest and feet shoving me off her. I staggered back, watching her do a karate kick up, landing on her feet. She pulled a knife out, gripping it with her right hand and advancing. My fingers dug around for my knife in my belt, tugging it out and holding it up in a defensive position.

"Come at me baby," I encouraged with a cocky smirk, watching how her grip tightened on her knife before she started running.

The next few seconds contained us trying to swipe our knives at each other, along with a couple of punches here and there. Her punches were rock hard, the strange metal in her gloves leaving cuts and harsh bruises on my face, whereas my punches barely caused a dent in her mask or anywhere else. Somewhere above me, I heard the roar of a helicopter, approaching the roof as through the corner of my eye I saw the other members of Omega run to the other side of the roof.

My thoughts were interrupted when she swiped her knife again at me, closer to my face this time, almost nipping my nose. I let out a yell, swinging my fists at her weak spots, which was her stomach and face. One of my punches sent her staggering back, before I swung my leg, knocking the knife out of her hands. With my knees bent, I pushed myself up, swinging my arm from below and delivering a solid uppercut straight to her jaw, bones in my fist cracking as it hit her mask and sent her spinning around.

Her back was to me when I twisted my arm around, grabbing her face from under her chin and lifting her up. Her body was incredibly lightweight, which proved easy for me to toss her over my shoulder, body flying in the air before her mask came off due to my strong grip on her face and she landed on the floor. I scrambled for my gun, holding it up as I watched her push herself off the floor. Something hit me when I saw her lengthy chocolate hair; it looked utterly familiar, sudden realization hitting me so hard I had my gun lowered.

Then she turned, and my jaw dropped.

"Scarlett?" I gasped, finding myself looking into those familiar brown eyes that I had fallen in love with a year ago.

Only now they stared back at me with confusion flickering through them, before they hardened significantly. Her lips parted, speaking words that had my heart shattering into a million pieces.

"Who the hell is Scarlett?"
