I was almost finished. I was almost done. One more mix, and I'd be the new Flash.

Taking a deep breath, I pointed the last thing in, and Bam! That's all I remember.

I woke up a few days later in a hospital. The experiment hadn't worked as well as I thought. My mom was so disappointed and worried. I felt bad. What had I been thinking?

My head hurt like crazy and my legs were throbbing painfully. My arm had a big red gash on it that stung like a bee.

I dimly remember Wally saying something like, "This is all my fault," before falling asleep again.

I woke up again, guilt seeming to fill me like helium filling a balloon. "I'm so sorry! I'm so stupid! I don't know what I was thinking, and I wish I hadn't been so stupid to try that out and-"

They were looking at me, startled.

"Uh, what?" I asked, looking at them back, confused.

"You were talking so fast..."

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"There! See?" Wally pointed at me.

"What on Earth did you do, Tiffany?" Barry asked dangerously.

"Oh, uh, I, uh, found your journal... Flash." I whispered the last part under my hand.

His eyes widened and he slapped his forehead with his hand.

"You...? Like... Wally? Why didn't I just destroy that thing! I suppose you want to be my partner, too?"

"What? Partner? I don't have any powers! Or training like Robin, Batman, Green Arrow, Speedy, or..."

Barry sighed. "Shake my hand."

He holds it out, so I take it. "Uh... okay, sure."

I start shaking it. "Whoa... oh my gosh! I can't stop! I can't stop!"

It's shaking so fast that I can see at least twelve versions of my hand. 

Barry stopped it and looked at the sky angrily. "Why does this always happen to me?"

"Wait... it happened before? Does that mean... that I'm the new Kid Flash? Just... a girl? Ooh, Girl Flash!" I started speaking fast again.

"Whoa, calm down. Nobody's gonna be a partner. Nobody's gonna be Girl Flash."

"What? But-"

"You're too young. You can't fight bad people who would hurt you, you could get injured."

"But you get hurt all the time, don't you?"

"Yes, I do, but I'm responsible for myself, and so it's my fault of I do.  If you or... Kid Flash got hurt, I'd never forgive myself."

"I, I guess that makes sense." My face brightened. "Then I won't get hurt!"

He chuckled sadly. "Sorry, kid. You'll just have to wait until you're older."

"But... what will I do with my powers till then?"

"Train."

"With who?"

"Wally?"

"Wally is... you know?"

"He is."

I sat up in my bed, forgetting about the pain. "You are the best cousin ever!"

Wally smiled faintly. Now he was almost exactly like his younger cousin. Which wasn't exactly good. "Uh, yeah, I am... and, yeah, I'll train her."

"Thanks, Wally! Man, you're so awesome!"

Wally smiled, then looked down at his watch. "Oh, crap... I gotta go. See you later, Tiffy."

"See you! Bye!" I waved eagerly at him as he left. "So... when will I train?"

"You'll have to do excersizes everyday, and run on your own later, or build leg muscle by restraining your super speed and running like a normal person."

"Okay! Will do!" I jumped out of my bed and started doing jumping jacks. "One! Two! Three! Four! Five, Six, Seven..." I started getting faster and faster. "3,003, 3,004, 3,050, 4,000!"

"Okay, Tiffany, you can stop now."

Suddenly, I felt too tired to go anymore, and I collapsed onto my bed, the pain rushing right back. Great. I was panting like a dog on a sunny day, and sweat came in dribbles down the side of my face. "Whoa. That felt... awesome!"

Barry put his face in his hands and left, shaking his head.

My smile died down a little. How would I wait to be Girl Flash until I was older? These thoughts raced around in my head... Great. I was thinking super fast, too.

Meanwhile, a man sitting in a swivel chair smiled evilly as he stared at the screens in the security camera room.  "There we have it, men. The girl who'll lead us to victory. "

"Can we get her now?"

"...no. We need to keep on the down low. We'll get her when she's Girl Flash."

His smile grew. "Then, we'll take over this pitiful Earth, and call it our own. Thank you in advance, Tiffany West, thank you."
