The Sorcerer
Okay! I am rewriting this cause I made One BIG HUGE MISTAKE! I put Rumy into this at a time where the Doctor and Rose were already in love. I was being very untrue to their characters because well... for either of them to show any interest in Rumy they couldn't be in love with each other. And if you are reading this far in the authors note then well... heres a little sneak peak into this story. Rose and Rumy will fall in love. Rose and Rumy will be seperated. Rumy will need someone to pick up the pieces as she looses yet another love.
Rumy was in a world a bit similar to the one she left. Here fairytales were told the way they were in Auradon, and were fiction only. Rumy had seen their representations of her fairytales and to be honest she was offend, especially since some of them made her out as the good guy. The world was called Gallifrey. To be honest, she gave them quite the fright. A random woman appears holding a sword with devil fire raging in her eyes. She confused them. They were beings of science and she was a creature of magic. She could do things they deemed impossible, so she was locked up.
She was currently in the room they put her in, she was covered in chains and surrounded by a forcefield. They liked to put her on display for classes going through, the impossible girl. Her head hung, so her face was hidden and cast a shadow over her chest. She could leave the chains anytime she wanted, she knew this, they didn't. The only reason she still was chained is because she no longer saw the point. She had been blinded from her life's meaning by her pain, seering hot inside her, burning her from the inside out. She had been in chains for 60 years now, unaging, something the Timelords didn't understand for even they aged. She was listening to the class that passed by her, not finding any of them interesting. The group leaves and a new one enters. The children gasp and point, though she couldn't see them she knew they did.
A pulse went out to her, invisible but she could feel it. She titled her head, one ear raising and she listens to the thoughts of one child. It was his energy that pulsed through her, he didn't even know he did it. She titled her head back into it's original position as the children gasped, but her child remained silent. His eyes looked over her, wondering about her. She was everything he was taught to be fairytales. The ofical who had to be their guide took a step back, not understanding because Rumy hadn't moved in the last 50 years.
Rumy slowly lifts her head up to look at the children who gasp, her child once again silent as he looked at her. His eyes found hers instantly, and even though he had only heard rumors of her he felt as if he knew her. The muscles in her mouth twitch, before she slowly starts to smile, it was kind and genuine as she stared at him. His mouth went dry but still he found himself smiling back, a giddy feeling filling his stomach with butterflys. He feels himself blush under her gaze but still he smiles.
The offical goes to signal another Timelord before Rumy's head snaps in his direction, "Now put that down." His eyes widen at her voice and he lowers the com as she smiles before looking back at the child of her interest. He was young, a young timelord boy. Only around 30. She smiles at him once again and he steps forward from his class who he noticed had taken many steps back. "Hello," She told him and he walked up to the glass she was behind.
"Who are you?" He asked her and she smiled.
"One day you will come back here. You will have grown and gone through your title day. On the day you come back here, you will come back alone. You will walk up to this glass and you will tell me your name and on that day I will tell you mine," She said, speaking more than she had in decades. The boys eyes were wide as he looked at her. The offical gathered the class back up and they left, all of them throwing glances at her but as they left her head went back to her chest. A smile still on her face.
It has been 200 years and still Rumy hung there, her head not having moved in those years since the young timelord came. She listened as footsteps came down the hall and by the time the young boy, now grown had reached the glass her head was raised and she was looking right at him.
"How many days ago did you get your title?" She asked him and he grinned at her.
"More than I care to count," He said and she raised an eyebrow, "18250."
"Ah, you too your sweet time then," She said with a grin, knowing exactly why he had done so.
"It never felt right, but now it does," He told her and she smiled at him, just like she did that one day long ago.
"I know, I saw it that day. When you came to visit me here," She told him. "I know your wish. I myself share it, but I knew I had to wait until today."
He looked at her with wide eyes, "You mean?" She nodded her head at him and he grinned. "Then let's get you out of there. We'll need a plan, okay I'll-" He was cut off as she thre her fist down and the chains on her arms all broke, she took a step forward and the chains on her legs went next. When she moved her torso to follow her legs the chains on her stomach broke. She grinned at him and in a puff of smoke went from inside the glass to standing next to him. "You could have left at any time," He said and she nodded. "So why didn't you?"
"I had no reason to. I was waiting for you." They smiled at each other before she grabbed his hand and pulled him down the hall and into the muesum. She looked around while he looked confused.
"I thought we were gonna travel? What are we doing here? We need a TARDIS," He told her and she grinned with a nod before running over to a TARDIS. It was a type 40 was currently designed as a wardrobe. Rumy ran her fingers over the wood with a grin, while the Doctor stared at the two in awe.
"She's the most gorgeous thing I have ever seen," He says and Rumy nods with a smile as the Tardis shivers under the girl's touch.
"That's what I thought when I saw her 257 years ago when they dragged me through here to get to my cell. From that day I promised if I ever got out, if I ever found a purpose I would go to her," Rumy says with a grin and after her words the wardrobe doors fly open.
"She should be dead," The boy says and Rumy nods.
"Should be. Maybe she was waiting for us too," She says and they grin at each other as they step inside. The boy looks around, the Tardis was better than any he had ever seen. He was in awe as way Rumy who ran up the steps and ran her fingers over the consule. As if responding to her touch all the lights in the Tardis light up and consule makes a whirling noise as it comes to life. Rumy looks over to her boy with a grin that he returns. They begin to run around the consule pressing buttons and twirling around each other doing spins and letting out cheers of excitement.
"Did I mention that I failed my Tardis test?" The boy said and she looked over at him with a grin.
"I never even took one!" She cheers flipping a switch. He laughed with glee and as the Tardis begins to take off they hear sirens going off outside and people shouting. Rumy looks over to the doors that were still open and grins, "Could you close the doors, dear?" The doors close on her command and Rumy gives a grin she hasn't in years. "Oh you sexy thing." The Tardis hums and the boy and Rumy laugh, smiling at each other.
They were drifting in space now and the two sat on the consule floor, there was a level below in so they swung their legs over the edge of floor one. They smiled at each other and the boy held his hand out," You did say you would tell me who you were."
She grinned and accepted his hand, "I'm Rumy but since I'm gonna be traveling like a timelord why not do the whole title thing? Call me... The Sorcerer."
The boy nodded with a laugh, "I'm Theta, but call me The Doctor."
