PERCY PVO

Its been three weeks since my mothers death, I'm in well mabey, Ohio or Pennsylvania. I was walking down an alley when I saw a little girl about my age ( 7-8) sitting in front of a gas station convince store. She had a thoughtful look on her face. My stomach rummbled. Hmmm. I walked up to her and said

"Hey."

she snapped out of her daze and held out a dagger in a fluid motion. Whoa I thought, luckily I had been on edge too and had my knife out and knocked her dagger onto the ground.I picked it up and handed it to her. She stared in my eyes for a moment before accepting. With un spoken agreement, we both put our weapons away. I knew the answer but I asked anyways:

"Are you a run away?"

She studied me again, she has big stormy gray eyes and honey blond curly hair. She must have found me innocent for she nodded. I grinned, " me too" I said.

"What's your name?" She asked me intelligently.

"Percy", I responded " yours?" I asked

"Annabeth she responded.

"Hungry?" I asked just then my stomach rummbled very loudly. We both laughed and when we stopped hers rumbled too. This set us off again. When we stopped, we both said "yes at the same time and we smiled at eachother. Her eyes lit ul and she whispered to me "I have a plan" with that she told it to me and we walked in the door. When we got in Annabeth carrying both our back packs I set out and first I shook up a soda and set it off while Annabeth was talking to the guy. I sprayed it up at the camera and it shot cuircted (pretend there's only 1 camera. Thx) then fase 2.

I went up to the guy and Annabeth excused herself to go shop while I talked I pretended to slip and hurt my ankle the guy imeaditaly went to get me wrap for it Annabeth and I ran around stuffing everything we needed in our bags and then I sat down in my spot on the floor and "cried" he came out wrapped it up and gave us some free stuff ontop of what we stole. We thanked him and Annabeth "supported" me out the door.

Once outside we ran around the corner and into a mini woods behind it where I removed my ankle wrap stuffed it into my bag and high- fived Annabeth. We had just sat to unpack our stuff when I we herd a growl behind us and we shared a scared look and I imeaditly knew she had met monsters too. I don't understand it but they come and try to kill me.I guess it happens to Annabeth too. We both have our knives out and with out either of us giving a signal, we run, deep, deep, deep into the woods its. Whatever it is footsteps crashing behind us. We end up running right into a river but see on the other side is a big cliff and the river serves as a pool for two waterfalls. On either side. Trapped. Pannic builds up in me.

I grab Annabeth's hand as it gets closer and closer. It comes into view. Annabeth gasps in shock and I go ridged. The Minotaur.

ANNABETH PVO

Percy's hand goes clammy in mine as we both see it. I gasp feeling as if all the air has been forced out of my chest. Its the Minotaur. We both stand there like idiots knifes at our sides, unable to move as it charges. Milliseconds before it kills us we split apart opposite derections and It rams with a sickining crack into the cliff behind us. One of its horns falls off into the water and Percy and I rush together again. Well its dazed we both charge at it knifes out from opposite derections.

The bull turns to me a few seconds before impact and jutts its head forward to ram me. I see my life flash before my eyes: me as a small kid asking my father why he hares me, my determined face as I run away, me training at some camp when I'm older, marrying someone. Just when I though I was done for and the bulls remaining horn is inches from my chest. Percy screams somewhere in the distance, so loud it sounds like his throat is ripping to shreds and killing his voice box. All the sudden I am five feet higher and the bull is blasted backwards into the cliff. The I drop with a slash and Percy stabs the monster not before cutting off its other horn.

He runs over to me and hugs me.we both start crying. When we stop, I while away tears with my palms and say

"How did you do that?"

"I don't know" he replies " I just knew I couldn't let anything happen to you and I'd do anything in my power to save you" he then blushes and we feel a spark of friendship.

"Thank you"
