AN: I made this shitty edit but... It works.. You'll see it later don't worry.
"Its finally happening.."
Jaemin said to Chanyeol, nervous and scared of what was to come.
He didn't want to fight them anymore.
They would never forgive him,
Yet,
He knew he wouldn't be able to watch them die..
He couldn't be the cause of another death..
···
Chenle looked up at the dark grey sky
The rain closer then ever
The wind blowing harshly
It could blow away the most fragile of people.
That's why Jisung was close
Hugging Chenle
Keeping him safe
In his arms
Where he belonged.
"Its happening Ji.."
"What's happening?"
"The revolution..."
···
Jeno looked at the men around him, grief in his eyes as he remembered Taeyong doing the same not long ago.
"Listen up! I know that its going to be hard... We lost a valuable soldier moments ago before he could even fight for the cause he lived to support.. But let his death fuel the fire within you..
So we can burn them
To the ground."
He watched each of their eyes as a newfound flame of determination ignited within them like the fire that had once taken someone..
Someone who would not be forgotten.
Someone who's brother would not be forgiven.
Jeno swore by it.
···
Flame and earth will meet
When the sun shows its last rays
Before fire wins
The sun will die
And blade meets heats betrayal.
When blade meets flame
And darkness reign
The world is split in two
But when needed most
The blades host
Will falter and decay.
But light will rule
And darkness cruel
Will cower in its rays.
But only by the light
Of the dying sun
Will fate come on broken wings
Go forth with fear
For its drawing near
The end of a revolution.
Renjun recited the words in his head, the warning Jisung and Chenle had given him, the prophecy delivered out of fear and desperation, strong and evident in his mind. He still didn't get it. Fire had to be Chanyeol, but who was blade? Was the sun really going to die? Why go forth with fear if the light will win?
Maybe he should tell Jeno..
He walked forward from the crowd as Jeno finished and spoke up loud for everyone to hear.
"Jeno.. I had a dream."
Everyone paused and continued to listen.
Renjun walked over and stepped up onto the large wooden box beside Jeno, facing the crowd fearlessly as he recited it again.
"
Flame and earth will meet
When the sun shows its last rays
Before fire wins
The sun will die
And blade meets heats betrayal.
When blade meets flame
And darkness reign
The world is split in two
But when needed most
The blades host
Will falter and decay.
But light will rule
And darkness cruel
Will cower in its rays.
But only by the light

The end of a revolution.
This was the prophecy that they gave me.. I just can't figure it out..."
"Who?" Renjun turned and looked at Jeno as he spoke. "Who gave you the prophecy?"
"Chenle and Jisung.. I saw them, in that field together. Everything was slowly growing back as if it had been dead for a long time and a large storm was approaching... I think the turmoil of the revolution is affecting them too." Jeno nodded.
"Yes.. I agree..."
"My only problem was, I don't know who it is referring to with 'blade'. I'm certain fire is Chanyeol and darkness is EXO, we are the light, but the dying sun? The blade?"
"Jeno..."
Renjun looked into the crowd and saw that Taeil had just spoken.
"What?"
Taeil looked up with fear in his eyes.
"Jeno.. What lead you, Renjun, and Jaemin to us." Jeno took a deep breath as he recalled that night.
"I.. Killed Renjun's father-"
"With what?" Jeno paused and raised a brow before pulling an object out of his pocket.
"My switch..."
"A blade."
Renjun inhaled sharply.
Jeno still looked confused as he turned to Renjun, who had a slight bit of fear in his eyes.
"Jeno, you are blade."
···
"I want that Lee Jeno dead if its the last thing I do."
Jaemin listened and watched as everyone around him seemed satisfied by Chanyeol's command.
But not Haechan.
His pupils still inky pools, seeming to consume the light rather then reflect it. He frowned and took a step forward, his scowl growing.
"So long as Mark pays, I'll follow you all." Chanyeol smiled and nodded at the comment, not taking much notice of the grief stricken face Kai made.
"Well, let's do this then."
···
The wind that blew by Kyungsoo was cool, but much warmer then before. The thin layer of snow had melted and the smell of rain was thick in the air as heavy storm clouds rolled in. Lightning flashed in the distance followed by a low rumble of thunder. He looked out at the familiar city and felt sorrow rush over him.
Taeyong had been such a good man.
He would've done great things in this battle.
He sighed and felt the slightly warm breeze tug at his hair and clothing.
"Its almost time.."
Kyungsoo turned to the person behind him with a blank expression that melted into a weak welcoming smile.
"Jeno." He greeted the boy with a small bow and went back to watching the storm in the distance. Jeno walked up beside him and placed a hand on Kyungsoo's shoulder.
"We are going to need you today more then ever. Not once have I had to truly question where your loyalties lie and I have a feeling that won't change. You know them batter then any one of my men do.."
"But you know Jaemin more then any of us. Even Renjun, and you know you are going to have to fight him Jeno."
The younger let the silence go on as he too watched the storm as it began to break.
"I know. And I'm not afraid either. I have sworn an oath on my name that I will avenge everyone of our men that have died." Jeno said through clenched teeth, his voice breaking slightly as tears fell to the ground. His hands we're clenched into such tight fists that his knuckles were turning white. Lightning bleaked across the sky in a bright burst and thunder cracked overhead, the rain beginning to downpour.
"Chenle, Jisung, and Taeyong did not die for nothing Kyungsoo.. And I will be sure they know that."
Kyungsoo watched as the rain dripped off the young boys hair, that had now become drenched from the heavy rain.
"Just be careful Jeno. My brother is a ruthless, stupid, and careless man who will get what he wants no matter the cost..
And he wants your head."
···
Guns loaded.
Blades ready.
Puddles splashing underfoot as they ran down the alley, to a rather familiar parking garage.
Jeno took a deep breath as he looked up.
Back to where it all began.
Renjun walked up beside him and put a reassuring hand on the youngers shoulder as he too looked at the tall building through the downpour as the others rushed past to get to somewhere dry.
"This is it Junnie.."
"Yes it is Jen...."
Jeno smiled a bit and looked down at Renjun.
"When this is over, how about we get a nice place in the country. We'll bake cookies together, and live in a little fairytale, smearing flour all over each others faces.."
Renjun nodded, reaching up and petting Jeno's drenched cheek softly with his thumb.
Glad that Jeno couldn't see the tears through the rain.
Glad that Jeno didn't notice his voice shake as he breathed out.
"I would love that Nono......"
They could die here.
This could be the end of their lives.
But when needed most
The blades host
Will falter and decay.
Renjun drew in a sharp breath.
Maybe Jeno wasn't wrong.
Maybe this really was it.
