#2 Run

Renjun didn't qiet know what was happening. One moment he was scared of his dad the next he was watching his fathers lifeless body fall to the ground. But what Renjun had desided was the worst thing was he wasn't sad his dad was dead. He was happy. All these years of wishing and his wish came true. And he didn't even feel a hint of regret.

The sky was completely dark as they ran. Jeno came to a stop under a streetlight, looking at his friends with a dark expression.

"We have to leave.." Jaemin looked at Jeno.

"But, my brother, who's gonna take care of him? And what about your parents?"

"My parents could care less. As for your brother... I don't know.. Bring Renjun with you home, get anything you need. Money food anything. I'll go home so my parents don't increase the number of cops on my tail and do the same. I'll sneak out my window tonight. Meet me back here in 2 hours..." Jeno said before he turned to run to his house.

Jaemin walked quickly to his house, Renjun trailing behind. Jaemin had grabbed hold of Renjuns hand as they walked as a way of comforting Renjun. It couldn't be easy to witness a murder- let alone your own fathers. And Jeno? Now Jeno had murdered someone and in 24 hours police from all over would be after him.

Jaemin tried to calm himself down when he walked into his small apartment.

"Nana?" A fimiliar voice called from somewhere further in the place.

"Yah it's me.. Come see our guest for the night!" A small chinese boy walked into view and smiled brightly at the two.

"Who are you? I'm Chenle! Zhong Chenle." Renjun was taken aback by the boys enthusiasm as he took his hand and replied quietly

"I'm Haung Renjun.."

"Yah! Zhong Chenle!!" A loud holler was heard from one of the other rooms. "The match is starting! We need another healer!" Chenle laughed, a bit embarrassed by the person in the room calling for him. He cleared his throat.

"Ji! Stop the game! Come here!" There was a low grumble from the other room and within a moment a tall boy walked out.

"Hey Jaemin.." The boy said before looking at Renjun. "Who are you?" The tall boy asked, unconsciously leaning down a bit to get a better look since he left his glasses in the room.

"This is Renjun. Renjun this is Jisung. Now, Chenle do as you please for dinner if you haven't yet but I want you in bed in half an hour.. Me and Renjun will be in my room but in half an hour I expect you to be lights out in bed. Go.." Jaemin said as he began to walk with Renjun towards his room. "And Jisung can stay tonight as long as things stay pg maybe pg 13 mmk." He said before shutting the door to his room behind him. Renjun was on his bed staring at the ceiling his mind clearly elsewhere while Jaemin began to pack.

Jaemin and Chenle where orphans.

There dad had been enlisted and went to war but he never came home and there mother had died of cancer when Jaemin was young. Chenle was adopted mere weeks before there mother died which mad Chenle a double orphan if you care to look at it like that. So basically, Jaemin raised Chenle alone. From the young age of 6 years old they were alone. There Uncle took them in for a while, providing them money and education and a roof over there heads but he was rarely home except for at night when he came home from god knows where.

One day he just didn't come home.

But the two managed. By then they were both old enough to get low paying jobs so they did. Chenle worked at a gas station for a couple years but qiut when his boss attempted to rape him in the backroom. Chenle hadn't worked since. But Jaemin was all that Chenle had as far as a parent figure. They were only a year apart but Chenle acted much younger then he was. They were so close.. And now Jaemin had to leave...

Just like everyone else in there lives.

It had been a little over half an hour and Jaemin left Renjun to go make sure Chenle was asleep. When he opened the door to his surprise Chenle and Jisung were asleep on the bed cuddling. There limbs were intertwined and they looked so safe and secure. Jaemin sighed. He walked in and went to Chenle. He could feel tears threatening to fall from his eyes as he bent over and placed a delicate kiss on his brothers forehead.

"Goodbye lele..."

"Good.. Bye?" Chenle's eyes opened slowly and he looked at Jaemin next to his bed. "Your going somewhere?"

".. Yes...."

Chenle tensed.

"You'll be back... Right?" Jaemin couldn't stop the tears now. He knew Chenle's worst fear was being left behind or abandoned.. After all, that was there life story right now.

"Yes... I'll be back lele... Get some sleep.."

Jeno got to his house and snuck back through the window. Surprise surprise when he walked around the house he realized his parents were asleep. Didn't even care to check on him. Jeno packed the best things he could find. He took all the cash from his parents wallets and one gift card from his mom. He took his dad's handgun, he cleaned his switchblade and packed a couple changes of clothes and a deck of cards. In a separate bag he packed as much water and food as he could. He also packed extra of everything just in case Jaemin forgot something or maybe they had to burn one of there shirts to stay warm. He also packed a first aid kit.

Jeno was smart and resourceful.

He knew what they would need and when they needed it.

He was also strong and knew how to work a weapon if he got the chance. All these qualities Jeno use to think were mere blessings. But now he was leaning more toward it being fate.

He sat on the bed with his legs crossed and stared around his room. He walked over to his desk and began to rummage through the drawers. He had a little extra space in his bag. Why not bring more stuff. He packed his journal, a pencil, a pen, an empty notebook, and a Polaroid of himself with Jaemin and Renjun.

They looked so happy..

Why did it have to change.....

Jeno left the house earlier then he had planned. An entire hour earlier actually. He began to head to Jaemin's apartment hoping maybe he could help Jaemin pack. When he got to the apartment he walked to the window which looked into Jaemins room and knocked. Moments later the window opened. Renjun climbed out first and Jaemin handed some bags through the window to the older, who had barely breathed a word since they left his house. Jaemin had tear stained cheeks and he figured this had to do with Chenle. He climbed out the window and took a small slip of paper from his pocket, sticking it to the desk inside beside the window before carefully closing it. He picked up his backpack and the small jacket blanket bundle he was bringing and looked at Jeno. He couldn't do anything to stop the flowing tears so he simply met Jeno's worried gaze and said

"Where to.."

"911, what's your emergency?"

Somewhere in a small town..

"Yes I-I think someone... There's a dead body h-here.."

A murder was reported at 2 am on Friday November 9th..

"Sir, please remain calm.."

And this began the start of a revolution..
