I blink my eyes blearily, the room is empty. I move through the house quietly before making it out into the backyard, not wanting to be bothered. It has been a few weeks since I last shifted and my wolf is itching to be let out. The shift is slower than usual due to it having been awhile. Once in wolf form, I stretch trying to get rid of any residual stiffness.

I take off at a run, relishing in the freedom but for once I'm not trying to leave. I loop around the territory enjoying the wind through my fur. Quickly I'm intercepted by a patrol and I slow down, wishing I had the ability to mindlink them to explain that I'm not running away. I hear a snarl and find a large grey wolf stalking towards me, it's Theo, and I pin my ears back lowering myself to the ground letting out a whine. When he nears I risk it and nip at him playfully earning me another growl.

Rolling onto my back showing my submission Theo comes over and sniffs me. Once he starts licking my fur I wriggle away and prance around. My wolf is loving the attention and takes great joy in teasing Theo's wolf. He eventually lightens up and playfully growls, pouncing on me. I hadn't played like this since before the attack, my siblings and I would always roughhouse together even as we grew older.

Wanting to run again, I take off at a breakneck speed yipping at Theo to catch me. Eventually he does and sends us rolling on the ground, he licks my face checking to make sure I'm fine. At this point, my wolf surges forward shoving me to the back of my mind and before I can react she has our teeth in Theo's neck. She has staked our claim and I feel Theo's shock roll through me. It's moments later when I feel teeth embedded in my own neck, a natural reaction from Theo's wolf.

We lay on the ground in shock, both of us trying to gather what just happened. I can't even comprehend what I've done, I've tied Theo to me in the most permanent way possible. I shift back, not even minding my nudity, I open my mouth to say something before closing it. I try to start again, "Theo I...I'm so sorry. I-she pushed me back and shit...oh goddess what have I done." At this point Theo shifts and kneels in front of me, "Alexandra, I'm glad we're claimed. I'm not upset, surprised definitely."

Theo can feel my despair, anxiety, everything and instead of letting me think I find his lips on mine and my mind goes blank. The kiss is short but passionate, I unconsciously let out a whine as he pulls away causing him to smirk slightly. "Little warrior, I'm ecstatic to have you as my mate, you need to stop with all this doubt. But right now, maybe we should put some clothes on."

My eyes widen as I realize the situation we were just in and I feel my cheeks flush bright red, especially when I accidentally see just how "excited" Theo is about everything. Theo slips on a pair of shorts, unembarrassed but can't help but to break down in laughter at my expression as he hands me a shirt. Once we're both covered, Theo takes my hand leading me back to the pack house.

OH WOAH. Well THAT happened, the bond has finally been claimed and look they kissed too. Honestly, that took a while (cough almost 20 chapters later).

With Theo being able to feel Alex's emotions and vis versa, do you think this will help strengthen their relationship and move forward?

We'll see some real interactions with the family and pack coming up, Alex needs to be introduced as she's going to be Luna.
