{[Chapter 16]}

The next morning I find myself being woken up early, "Alexandra get up, training is in ten minutes."

I manage to stumble out of bed and into a pair of leggings and a sports bra. Making my way downstairs, Theo meets me at the door with a water bottle and a protein bar. "Eat." I take the bar and scarf it down. We head out to the training grounds and I can already see a large group milling around, the majority are men but a few women are scattered here and there amongst them.

Theo strides over to Phillip and two other men, I trail after him and hear an increase in chatter as people notice me. When Theo arrives the three men dip their heads in acknowledgment, Theo is in full Alpha mode right now. He instructs the men on how he wants the training to be ran before they split away and start calling out instructions to their groups. The wolves are broken up into advanced, moderate, and basic levels.

"Alexandra, you're with me." he says heading over to a corner of the field.

"Theo, I can train with the other wolves." I state as I jog after him trying to catch up.

"No, I don't want you dong any combat yet. It's been weeks since you've trained and you need to rebuild." he replies leaving no room for argument.

Huffing in annoyance, I stay silent otherwise waiting on direction.

"12 laps around the field, no shifting."

I just nod my head and start to run and goddess help me I really am out of shape. By lap six I'm panting and only halfway through, with how big this field is twelve laps is close to six miles.

"Pick it up, you need to maintain the pace you set at the beginning." Theo urges her as he passes her for what feels like the hundredth time.

With two laps left, Theo paces with me until halfway through the final lap, "Alexandra, sprint! Finish this strong. Stay on me!"

I push myself as hard as I can, I stay with Theo through the finish before collapsing in a panting, sweat-drenched heap.

"Alexandra get up you're going to cramp up." Theo says pulling me back up onto my feet.

My legs tremble under me, eventually I'm able to catch my breath. Once I've seemed to recover, Theo puts me through a circuit of sit-ups and push-ups. Eventually I finish that at this point two hours have passed and I can see everyone else is starting to cool down. Despite the hard workout, Theo has checked in with my consistently and kept a close eye on me, making sure that I'm not being pushed beyond my limits though he still wants to challenge me.

"Before we go into our cool down, 30 burpees with a push-up."

I can't help but let out a groan, "Goddess, if I didn't know better I would say you're trying to kill me."

Theo chuckles and I sigh I start doing my burpees I'm halfway through when I'm hit by a wave of vertigo as I go down for another burpee, I claw at the ground trying to stabilize myself but it's no help and I make hard impact with the ground. I let out a groan and Theo looks over from the conversation he's having, "Come on Alexandra, you're halfway there." trying to motivate me before he looks back at Phillip to finish whatever he was saying.

The vertigo won't stop and I have to close my eyes to prevent my world from spinning, "Theo."

His eyes widen at my tone and moments later he's at my side, taking in my pale appearance. "Love, shit, talk to me?"

"Dizzy...it just hit me, it won't stop."

I feel something wet put on my forehead and neck, people are murmuring but the sound soon become overbearing and I curl into myself trying to block out the noise. I'm being picked up and I press myself into Theo's chest trying to use it to comfort me. Piercing pain shoots through my head and I can't help but let out a whine. I can hear Theo talking to someone and then I'm placed on something soft, presumably our bed.

"Alex, I need you to open your eyes." I identify the voice as the healer, I do so and peer up at him blearily. "I have something that will help." he says and he and Theo help me to sit up. I swallow two pills before slumping back onto the bed.

"Alexandra, let's get you out of these sweaty clothes." Theo murmurs once the healer leaves.

He removes my socks and shoes and manages to maneuver my pants off, he pulls a clean shirt over my head. He changes as well before crawling into bed pulling me into his chest. One of his hands gently massages my head and I can't help but to let out a groan.

"Shh, I know love. Try to fall asleep."

Eventually, I'm able to as the migraine fades leaving me exhausted.

________________________________________________________

So that chapter started out well, Alex was getting her ass kicked back into shape and even though it was challenging she honestly was enjoying it. We're starting to see the effect silver has and what she meant about the migraines she was getting. I bit concerning if you ask me, I'm sure Theo would agree.

As always thanks for reading and comments are welcome!

xx.
