{[Chapter 12]}

"I...I thought it was only for a few hours..." I answer trailing off, trying to remember the details after the attack. I remember blacking out but after that I only see glimpses, I was in and out of consciousness a lot.

"I was in their camp. I remember being beaten, they forced me to eat and drink a few times but they kept me in a dark room so I had no idea what time of day it was. They kept injecting me with something...I guess I was out a lot longer than I thought..."

It's obvious that Theo is trying to stay calm as he hears about the abuse, but when he hears that I had been receiving injections he loses some of his composure.

"Alexandra, I really need you to think about what they were injecting with you and how it made you feel like." his voice is strained.

"Uh...it burned but it didn't bother me that much because I'd get so tired that I'd fall asleep."

Theo mutters a curse before nodding, "Okay, thank you for telling me. It's important I know the details of what you went through Alexandra so I can help you as best as I can. The pack healer is going to come and take a sample of your blood so we can try to find out what they were using is that alright?"

"Yeah, uhm, that's fine. There's not much more to this, they got arrogant and I was able to escape and run and then you all found me getting attacked." I reply quietly.

At this point I've managed to pull myself together a bit more. I've been emotional ever since the attack and I've never looked at the details, I've been so focused on fleeing that I've ignored the fact that I could possible stop them. I could end all of this. Although, I doubt the self-hate will ever go away from what I did. For now, all I can do is wait for the healer and to find out what's been done to me before I can move forward with my possible revenge.

Someone knocks on the door and then enters, it's the healer. Theo fills him in on what I've told him. The healer walks over to me, he's an older man with greying hair and soft brown eyes he has an aura of kindness surrounding him and I subconsciously understand that I can trust him.

"It's nice to meet you Luna, I'm Dr. Simon Velasquez. Right now I want to take a sample of your blood to see if I can find out what they were injecting you with. Can you show me the site they did most of their injections, it may still have trace amounts located there."

I just nod and show him my arm, the needle tracks can be seen in the crook of my elbow. Gently, he takes my arm and runs his fingertips over the site frowning slightly as he inspects it more closely.

"Alright Luna, I'm going to take a sample if that's okay?"

"Yes. And it's Alex, please call me Alex." I don't like being called "Luna" as I've done nothing to earn the title, I have only caused problems since my arrival.

I watch as he preps the needle and vial and then as he slides it into the groove of my elbow, I don't flinch as I barely feel it. Once he's finished he goes over to the table where his bag is placed and opens a different vial before letting a small amount of my blood mix with it. The mixture turns a pearlescent blue color. Turning, the doctor holds it up showing it to Theo and I can feel the anger radiating off of Theo.

"Theo, what is it?" I ask calmly pressing a hand to his chest, attempting to calm him slightly.

"Silver, they injected you with fucking silver." his voice tight.

________________________________________________________

Silver? Obviously from Theo's reaction, that doesn't seem to be a good prognosis.

We find out that the reason Alex doesn't recall events is purely because she was unconscious, there's nothing for her to remember. Now revenge seems to be on Alex's mind, is that a good thing or do you think this is going to create even more strain?

As always thanks for reading, comments are appreciated!
