Many people say
they prefer sleep
over the waking world,
for good reason.

Some prefer dreaming
as opposed to living,
some prefer the distraction
lala land puts into action.

Others will tell you
that they just love
going through
life with their eyes shut.

And the rest
will give you a simple
answer in which sleep
is a boundary life has set.

For me,
sleep is an
escape
from a
reality
i never
asked
to be
born into.

For me,
with sleep
comes the
opportunity
to live a
life devoid
of impossibilities,
as opposed to a
reality in which
"limitless possibilities"
is a dream sold
to those that
seek impossibilities.

For this reality
was created
infinitely,
but rendered
a land of dreams
long surrendered.
