"Catch me bhrata!" A sweet voice echoed around the palace which was followed by numerous laughs. Little Charumathi was running around a giant hall and her newly returned brother, Pradyumna, chased her. She always had everyone on their toes and not that anyone complained, they all thoroughly enjoyed fulfilling her demands. Afterall, she was the sweetheart of the family, the only girl child.

It didn't take her long to wrap her newly introduced elder brother, Pradyumna, around her little finger as well. Everyone there, Shri Krishna, the Ashthabhadras and their children, admired them. It didn't matter if the brothers fought, had a conflict or disagreement or even were completely normal in their relationships, they would all come together when it was anything about their beloved sister. The apple of their eyes!

As soon as Pradyumna caught hold of her, she pouted and said, "This is cheating bhratashree! You are soooo big and I'm soooo small..." Making others chuckle at her drama.

"But isn't my dulari tired yet?" Asked Shri Krishna as she made her way towards him and sat on his laps with a pout.

"Bhratashree caught me!" She complained, not ignoring and ignoring the question at the same time and everyone chuckled.

"Hmm... So what does our Rajkumari wants Jeshth to do?" Asked Saambh while coming forward and kneeling in front of her.

Charumathi tapped her forefinger on the chin, pretending to think while others stared at her curiously. This girl always came up with something weird every time.

"Jeshth will become a horse and I will sit on his back!" She said enthusiastically and everyone laughed. Rukmini was about to deny her but before she could even utter a single word, she saw Pradyumna kneeling down, on his knees and asking her to climb on his back. While Saambh helped her get on his back, the other brothers too kneeled down to accompany them as well.

"I am telling you, these boys and their father are spoiling and pampering her a lot!" Said Rukmini while shaking her head in incredulity.

"Let it be didi..." Said Satyabhama. "This is her time to enjoy. We won't even come to know when she grows up and will leave us..." She continued, her voice came down to whispering at the end.

Even thinking about it seemed so difficult.

"But she is still small! Our munchkin! Let's cherish this moment for now!!" Said Jambavati, preventing the atmosphere to turn gloomy.

"Pitashree!" Charumathi chirped as she entered Shri Krishna's dorm, making him turn around and look at her with a warm smile.

"Dulari!? What are you doing here at this hour? You should be asleep by now." Shri Krishna said as he made is way towards her and picked her in his arms.

"Yes Pitashree! That is why I am here." She said making the latter look at her with a confused look on his face. Charumathi giggled and then dramatically facepalmed. "Ofho Pitashree! Wait, I will tell you..."

Shri Krishna laughed whole heartedly and walked towards the bed with her and then made her lie down while lying down next to her. "Yes Charu! Tell me what is it..."

"You forgot my story Pitashree!" She said as if stating an obvious fact.

The latter too played along. He raised both of his eyebrows and made an 'O' shaped mouth and said, "Oh yes! How can I forget this! Now tell me, what story do you wish to hear?"

"I want to hear any of your stories!!!" Charumathi demanded.

"Hmm... Let me think which one..." He said while she snuggled to him, making him smile and he started patting her head slowly.

He then recited a story of him and his friend, Sudama, and continued patting her head. Soon after, she fell asleep hugging her father. Shri Krishna too slept with her head on one of his arm while other hand patting her head.

Whereas, Rukmini stood at the doorstep of the room, adoring the father-daughter duo.
