Part 7~

(Sorry this took so long, I'm super lazy..)

Rukia's POV

Rukia watched as Orihime was laid down on a thin mattress, a pillow placed delicately under her head. Ururu re-entered holding a small, funny box. It was black like coal and looked to have the texture of foam. Kisuke took the box swiftly from Ururu and placed it next to Orihime's spazzing body.

The ex-captain then began to mumble a chant of some sort, his voice raising over the noise of Orihime's pain filled cries, "Keeper of truth and wind that howls, hand of the west, arrows that fly from the north! Open!"

The box began to glow, spreading pale moonlight around the tiny candy store. Orihime stopped moving, her hands relaxed and fell to her sides. Rukia felt herself relax as well, it seemed Orihime would be just fine. Rukia turned to look at Ichigo, not once had he moved from Orihime's side. He hadn't even said a word.

His eyes were lifeless, coated in the misery of seeing a dear friend face a near death experience. His hands were quivering, and his back, slouched. Rukia wanted desperately to run up and hung the boy, but knew that this wasn't the time nor place for such thoughts. Right now, it was Orihime that needed him.

Kisuke stood up, "Jinta, I need a gigai right now. Anything will do. Ururu, go help him."

The two younger employees ran off at once, presumably to fetch a gigai for Orihime to rest in while her own body recovered. Rukia held her breath, she wanted so badly to ask about her friends conditions, however, if the news was grave she knew it would only crush Ichigo even further.

"What's going to happen to her, Kisuke?" Ichigo's silent voice boomed throughout Rukia's ears, what was he thinking?

Kisuke didn't answer at first, but soon spoke with careful consideration, "She... should live. Her body has undergone extensive pressure, a normal person would have been crushed and died instantly from it, however Orihime seems to be doing just fine now."

Ichigo's tenseness seemed to relax a little after hearing Kisuke's reassuring words, Rukia blinked. Couldn't this just be a bad dream for once? "What was that thing?" She finally managed to ask.

"One of my many inventions, Miss Kuchiki. I've named it the Spiritual Pressure Stabiliser, or S.P.S for short. It was originally invented for our orange haired friend in case his hollow ever surfaced again, but it seems to be useful for more than just that.." Kisuke's voice trailed off as if he were lost in thought.

Ururu and Jinta returned with a gigai for Orihime, the gigai was slightly tanned with long brown hair and cream coloured eyes. It wore a black t-shirt and denim shorts. "Good, thank you," Kisuke sighed taking the lifeless body off of the two children.

The colour still had not returned to Ichigo's skin and with the sight of the gigai, had only become paler. "What happened?" He mumbled in a voice so soft Rukia had trouble hearing it.

"Your asking me?" Kisuke laughed with his usual humour, "If I had to guess I would say that Orihime's powers became to great for her body to handle, thus her very soul began to crumbled under the weight. Though that's just a theory, (a bleach theory! Jk, game theory lol.)"

Ichigo looked down at Orihime's empty body, her soul had already been removed and placed into the gigai. "Does that mean-?"

"Yes, if she uses her powers again, she will die."
