Twelve
It was exciting, at first. But, not anymore. She has ruined more lives than one. She let her anger get the best of her. She dials his number but he doesn’t answer. The latest news she has heard is that his wife is asking for divorce and selling their house to find a way to rebuild everything. It’s sad, especially because of the kids. Maybe she can end her life. There no point to it, after all. There’ll be constant revenge until he kills her, or she kills him. Will she live paranoid, scared of him? She glances at the poison on the table.
A few minutes later, there’s a knock on the door. She opens it and he strides in, then starts to squeeze her neck so tight she can’t breathe. He pushes her to the wall and they slide down it. He lets go and she starts to cough. Both are now breathing heavily and silent.
“You ruined my life,” he speaks first.
“I’m sorry.”
There’s nothing else to say.
“I wish I could kill you but I can’t.”
“You should.”
“Shut up.”
“It’s better if we never see each other again.”
“Agreed.”
“You can leave now. Goodbye.”
“You brought me to my knees and I never thought a woman would ever do that.”
“Maybe you met your match,” she manages a weak smile.
“You and I are very similar,” he observes. “I think you’ll agree that people like us don’t say goodbyes like that.”
He looks into her eyes and she feels herself losing control.
It’s a very very bad idea but hopefully, it’s her last bad idea.
“Damn right they don’t,” she says before crashing her lips on his.
The end.

I might write another installment of this because I’m obsessed with these two, haha.
