|4| A ship to dock ⚓

A ship to dock

I watch the sun rise and set, the moon peep, the birds flock,
Little grains of sand slip beneath me,
as I wait for a ship to dock.
Rowboats, Motorboats, ships sail by, eager to reach their harbour,
They pay no heed to me, as if to smirk and mock.
See that girl there, they seem to say amongst them
She has no one to be with nor a home to lock.
She's always here, looking at the sea, I wonder what she lost,
With no care of the time, nor a care of the clock.
Days flew by, weeks flew by, yet without fail
She's right there, when months too, run amok.
What they don't see, what they don't know,
she has heard on good word
That god never fails those who trust, whose faith is like a rock.
And ultimately the world is round, what goes, does come around.
so she waits, and she waits,
And waits for that ONE ship to dock.
