Ace Adventures
Well, surprise surprise, I got feedback on the last post! You all must be out of your mind, but hey, I won't complain.
Much.
Y'all are commenting stuff like "J, if you don't like your friends, why are you still friends?"
First off, I do like my friends. Only about an ounce, but still, I don't hate them. Except for Kyu. Definitely hate his dumb ass.
Secondly, I have no choice. Seriously, I had no say.
So, this week's topic: how I got stuck with my friends.
Picture it, a normal day. I've got a book tucked under my arm, because all my classes are taught by evil government officials who assign homework that is hardly humanly possible to complete in a day, so my bag is full.
I'm as miserable as usual, but it's okay. It's bearable. Almost enjoyable, just because I'm so used to it. It's familiar. It's normal. It's sick, and disgustingly enjoyable.
And then it's all ruined. A loser walks up to me. I ignore him, like I always do. It's nothing personal, I just don't like people.
He persists. "Excuse me, do you know where Mr. Byun's class is?"
I spare him a glance; my first mistake. He looks desperate. I've never seen anyone look so distressed about a class. He cares a lot.
I feel bad. I can't believe it myself, but I feel bad.
"Follow me," I lead the way.
He does. He follows me to the class.
"Why do you care so much?"
He doesn't answer until we're in front of the door.
"Thank you, oh my god. My seatmate is really cute, I'd hate to miss seeing him."
I can't believe it. I'm now late to class because this boy has a crush. I walk away fuming.
Apparently, I wasn't specific enough, and he doesn't seem to understand that "follow me," was only for that specific time. He follows me to lunch.
I tell him to go away. He just smiles. He knows he's cute. He doesn't know that it doesn't matter to me.
He starts following everyday. Soon, others follow him.
And I have been stuck ever since.
So truly, I had no say. And I grow fond of them. Just a little bit. I like how important I am to them. It's selfish, but I'm honest. I start to live through them, as they are fun.
We form the Welcoming Committee. They vote me as leader, because I helped them all. I am warm, in their world. Welcoming. Obviously they're totally right.
Not.
J, signing out.
