I am frustrated and deeply angry right now. Nandani POV

"He was happy with my decision and said that he is proud of me that I am not becoming a King for whom everything is about a win or success but about relationship and care,"

He said and I smiled looking at him.

"He is right. I am happy to see a real King who values people over possessions,"

I said and he leaned in to kiss my cheek gently.

"Now, you must rest and get over your soreness and teach me something you learnt in your seduction classes,"

He said and I just stared into his eyes.

"Well... knowing you, I think I should ask for a refund of the fees that I paid to the teacher,"

And, he chuckled deeply.

I also smiled with timidness on my cheeks and stood up to walk from there.

He also stood up and gently pulled me into a soft hug. 

"Bahut sunder lag rahi hai aaj aap,"

"You are looking so beautiful today,"

I chuckled all of a sudden and looked at him.

"Aapne aaj hi dhyan se dekha hai hume,"

"You have seen me closely for the first time today,"

And, he chuckled.

"Because I am no more forbidden to love,"

He said and I released the hug.

I looked at him and he looked down at me.

I saw him leaning in closer and gently placing his lips over mine. I could feel the coldness of my nosering between us as I just pecked each other.

"Is it still hurting?"

He asked in a slow voice.

I just stared at him and nodded.

"Ahhh, my little bird,"

He said and pecked my cheek softly.

"I am sorry,"

He said in a slow voice.

"What are you sorry for? for holding back,"

I said and he looked at me with thinned brows all surprised.

"Well, I think you should not ask for a refund from your master,"

He said and I chuckled.

He pecked my forehead gently and said.

"You should go and rest now,"

I nodded and left from there.

I came back to my chamber and looked at Suman looking at me while sitting on the couch.

"You look different,"

She said with thinned brows and I lifted my single brow to question.

"How?"

I questioned.

I sat on the couch and she sat beside me.

"You are glowing,"

She said and I just sucked on my lower lip.

"Really?"

She nodded.

"Yes,"

I just smiled and she suddenly asked with a slow whisper.

"Something happened?"

She animated her fingers to point out him and me.

And, my cheeks just warmed up with the redness.

And, Inhaling a deep breath I said.

"Everything,"

And, her mouth opened wide and she immediately said.

"Whattttt?"

And, I showed her my eyes wondering why her reaction was like that.

She immediately softened her expression.

"What? Wow!, Congratulations,"

She said and I just smiled.

And, suddenly we both landed into a tight hug and I screamed with joy.

"Aaaaaaa, I am so happy,"

I said in the low voice.

I knew it was wrong to be happy in such a situation and realise what he sacrificed for my brother and me, But I could not help it.

And, suddenly, out of nowhere, I felt wetness around my thighs.

I immediately pulled back from the hug and looked at Suman.

Standing up, I took my hand inside my skirt and looked at the red blood on the tips of my finger.

"Urrrrghhhhhhh,"

I immediately felt sick now.

Menstruation.

"Let me get you the thongs and padding,"

Suman said and I nodded.

I walked towards the bathing room and Suman came in some time.

After adjusting the padding tears started building in my eyes.

I did not want this in the middle of everything.

I came back to the bedroom and just lay on the bed.

My stomach had now started hurting.

I doubted that whenever my stomach sees the menstruation blood, it starts hurting, how their timing was so perfect.

"You rest here, I should bring you some food and drinks,"

Suman said and I nodded.

As the process, now I started feeling cold and suddenly I sneezed.

"Aaaaaaaccccccchhiiiiiiiiiiiiii,"

I inhaled a deep breath and lay in bed.

Covering myself with the comforters, I rested my head on the pillow.

Suman came back and tried to feed me but I already started feeling feverish and dizzy with it.

It turned worse by the night.

I did not know but my whole day just passed laying like that, half dead, feeling my energy draining off my body.

"Nandani,"

And, suddenly the voice of my beloved travelled down my ear and I saw him standing in front of me.

He removed his overcoat and sat beside me on the bed.

Gently bringing his hand on my head, he asked.

"Seems like you are in pain,"

I inhaled and nodded.

"Menstruation,"

"Ohh, cold too,"

I nodded again.

"Have you eaten anything or not?"

He asked and I tried to say.

"Yes, I ate in the morning,"

He furrowed his brows and said.

"Morning?"

Suddenly, he stood up and clapped twice.

An attendee showed up and he said.

"Bring the dinner for us,"

The attendee left and I saw him walking into the bathing room.

He came back after some time with a bowl of water and cloth in his hand. He had also taken a bath and looked fresh.

He placed the bowl and cloth on the side table and sat beside me. He placed his hand below my head and held my arm to help me sit up and adjusted the pillow.

A painful cry escaped from my mouth.

It was worse this time. I was exhausted from the last night and now this was making it even worse.

He tucked my hair behind my ear and looked at me.

"Come, let me help you wash a little,"

He said and dipped the cotton cloth and squeezed it to remove excess water. He gently rubbed it over my cheek and it was warm.

I immediately felt a sense of freshness and kept looking at him while he gently wiped my cheeks, forehead, arms and my hands. I had already taken off all my pieces of jewellery as I feel suffocated with all these.

And, then my sight noticed the attendees bringing the dinner.

"Bring it here,"

He said to them and they obeyed.

I folded my legs and he kept the dinner plate on the bed.

Sitting in front of me, after washing his hands.

He started tearing the bites and brought them close to his mouth, blowing the air over them, and he passes them to me.

Right at this moment, I felt so special. Like, now, I could see everyone in him. When he gives me nicknames, I find my father in him, when he takes care of me like that, I see my mother in him, when he fights with me and we both irritate each other, I see my grandmother and when he teases me, I see my brother.

Unwantedly, a lone tear fell from my eyes and he thinned his brows.

"You know, how are you looking now?"

I bit my lip and asked.

"How?"

I asked.

"Like a cute baby monkey,"

He said and I immediately chuckled.

"Seems like you have pet a monkey,"

I said taking another bite.

"Ahh, yes, I have a monkey, a rabbit, a bird, a cat, a crocodile and sometimes a tigress. But, most importantly, my little wife,"

He said and I just smiled.

"You will never get tired of calling me by different names,"

I said and he smiled.

"Never, and everything apart, you are my baby first,"

I smiled hearing him and leaned in forward to make a bite for him.

I forwarded my hand and fed him.

He smiled and held my wrist.

"You just take rest, little bird,"

I nodded after feeding him and rested my back again.

He fed me more and ate after that.

After putting the plate on the table, he washed his hand and removed his kurta.

He walked towards the other side of the bed after blowing away the non-required candles and sat down.

Shifting inside the comforters I saw him coming closer.

I also shifted closer to him and placed my head on his chest.

He gently wrapped his arm around me, supporting me and I felt pulling my leg over his thighs.

He started caressing my knees, gently pressing them and I immediately started feeling better.

"Is it hurting much?"

He asked and I nodded.

"Yes,"

My voice sounded husky.

"Should I ask the physician to make some medicine for you?"

He asked and I shook my head.

"No, I do not need medicine,"

I said.

"Okay,"

He exclaimed and continued gently caressing my back, my head and my arms.

And, I did not realise when I fell asleep.

I woke up in the morning when I felt my body doing better.

The pain was less now and I lifted my eyelashes to find myself still sleeping in the same position.

His hand gently caressed the side of my waist.

My ear could hear his heartbeats beneath me and I lifted my face to look at him.

He was wide awake and looking back at me.

I inhaled a deep breath and tried to straighten my leg and stretch my arm.

I turned my face in the opposite direction lazily and he gently spooned me from behind.

I felt his cheek close to mine and his fingers intertwining with mine.

"Feeling any better?"

He asked and I blinked my eyes lazily while saying.

"This will continue for four to five days,"

He gently traced my ear with his lips while saying.

"You know you should have proper food and water while menstruation. I have read it somewhere,"

I smiled and nodded.

"Hnnn,"

"Are not you getting late for the courtroom meeting?"

I asked and he shifted a little away and said.

"Yes, I was just about to get up,"

He stepped down from the bed and I saw him walking away into the bathroom.

I did not know but I was feeling that he was pretty worried about Abhinandan or what was happening outside the border.

I inhaled a deep breath and dwelled on the thoughts of ways that could help in this situation.

Should I talk to Abhinandan?

But, he clearly asked me not to interfere with them.

But, at least I should know what exactly Abhinandan was thinking about all this.

I knew he must be devasted by everything that happened.

And, after knowing that I married Rudra even after knowing what he did to me and forgave him too, he must be angry with me too.

But, I had to make him understand that Rudra had a reason.

And, even if the reason would not sound reasonable to him. Then, a single mistake could not define someone as a person.

We all mistakes, and we them when we are not able to think properly or wisely.

And, he did that mistake when he did not know everything.

And, for that, he did deserve a chance that I gave to him.

I did not know but I could sense things were soon going to get out of control.

I blew the air and try to calm down myself.

"You must take good rest and I will ask the attendees if you ate or not. So, take care of your diet, understand,"

I immediately came out of my thoughts with his voice. He had got ready for the court meeting and I looked at him drying his hair with the Cotton cloth.

My eyes strangely softened to notice his bare chest with fine abs and thick biceps.

And, unwantedly the moments of our love-making night crossed my mind and a timid smile appeared on my face.

But, wait, he asked me to take care of myself.

"Are you going somewhere?"

I asked thinning my brows.

He looked at me and sat down on the couch to wear his footwear.

His silence told me.

"Where are you going?"

I asked again but this time after straightening my back and sitting up.

He stood up from the couch and looked at me while walking towards me.

"You do not have to worry. I am just going to see the actual conditions of the borders,"

He said and I immediately held his hand.

"What?"

He nodded

A wave of discomfort and worry crossed my brain and I shook my head.

"But, Rudra, you kno-,"

He held my writs and cut me off.

"Nandani, I have to go. The soon we get out of it, the better,"

He said.

"But, what if they will attack you?"

I asked with tears in my eyes that were ready to roll down any moment.

He inhaled a deep breath and looked at me.

"Do not worry, I will handle everything and nothing will happen to you brother,"

He said and slowly took his hand back to stand up.

He walked away and I immediately pulled the comforters away to step down the bed.

But, the moment my feet touched the floor I felt my knees hurting insanely, my legs were feeling numb and my whole body like empty.

A slow cry escaped my mouth and he looked at me.

"You should rest, Nandani, I promise nothing will happen,"

He said and walked away to leave.

And, I just sat there just staring at him leaving me.
