Rudra POV

"Sabar ka fal kesa raha fir aapka?"

"How was the fruit of your patience?"

I asked her in a slow and caressing voice while looking into her eyes and she timidly smiled a little.

Her cheeks were blushing and she blinked lowering his eyes from my eyes.

"Kabhi aapke saath karenge esa tab pata chalega aapko... kabhi to jarurat hogi aapko hamari, tabhi chod kar chale jaenge,"

"You will know when I will do the same with you... You will also need me one day, and whenever you will need me the most, I will leave you like that,"

She said in a slow and playful and I chuckled deeply.

"Acha Ji?"

"Really?"

She also smiled seeing me laughing and I straightened myself to make her stand off my lap.

She adjusted her clothes stood up and said in a slow voice.

"I have never felt this much better,"

I smiled and stood up too. Running my fingers through my hair I walked towards her bed and lay adjusting my head on the pillow.

"Now, I want you to return the favour,"

She abruptly looked at me and her eyes widened with my words. Her face turned even redder and she slowly walked towards me. Her fingers trembled while touching her bangles and she sat down on the edge of the bed.

I saw her blinking nervously, inhaling deeply and then she looked at me with soft eyes.

I saw her slowly shifting closer to me sitting in front of me.

She leaned in closer a little, brought her hand close to my stomach, gently touched me and then lifted her gaze to look at me.

Her eyes held questions that she was not able to ask.

I held her wrist gently and firmly and brought them close to my lips.

"You have really beautiful hands, little wife,"

She turned even timider and blinked nervously.

I gently kissed her fingers and said in a slow and soft voice.

"I am really hungry, little bird,"

She gulped looking at me, her lips parted just with my words and I smiled while saying in a slow and pleasing tone.

"Aaj aapke haath ke Gatte ki sabzi khani hai. Hum chahte hai aap bhojan bana kar laaye hamare liye,"

"I want to have Gatta Curry cooked by your hands. I want you to cook for me,"

She looked at me and then suddenly her eyebrows thinned in a line and she immediately brought her hand back.

"What???"

Her voice was loud and I looked at her lifting my left brow.

"I mean... what?"

She laughed a little embarrassingly.

"Cooking? at this time?"

She smiled and laughed fakely a little.

"Ji, I am hungry,"

I said and she smiled awkwardly.

"Aur hume kisi ne dekh liya to,"

"And, what if someone sees me,"

She asked in a slow voice.

"So, what? Are you embarrassed in cooking for me?"

I asked and she laughed dramatically.

"Hahaha, No... No... Not at all, Ranaji... Why would I?"

 I smiled back and said.

"Then, off you go,"

She smiled and nodded, stepping down from the bed and making a face that she was not expecting that.

Taking quick steps she took her dupatta and placed it on her head.

"I will be back in some time,"

She said and I nodded.

Opening the door she left and I also stood up from the bed.

Walking into her bathing room, I took a long bath.

The thoughts of whatever happened back in the Kingdom were running all over my brain. My Maasi-ma were not ready for any peace treaty between Suryagarh and Mahableshgarh.

I even talked to my Guruji and my brothers too.

Ranvijay and Agastya both looked at it from a political point of view and agreed to it saying that it was the most needed thing for our people.

My Guruji also said something similar to it and he also reminded me of my responsibilities towards the people. He said that a King should be a servant of the people. The King should be for the people. People are not for King. And, becoming the King, my decisions should be for the good of people not for my personal interests. That meant that I had to establish a peace treaty between Suryagarh and Mahableshgarh.

Apart from that my heart was thinking about Nandani. I gave her so many reasons to leave me, but she never left and stood by my side against all the odds. She kept everything at stake just for me, just for us. And, seeing how much she believed in our relationship, the mere thought of hurting her was twisting my heart insanely.

And, for her, I wanted to give up on my revenge.

There would be no use of the fruit of revenge if I could not share it with her. There was no point in revenge and happiness if she would not be with me. And, somewhere I knew that if she ever decides to leave me, she would never look back at me even if I die. I knew her.

I came out of the bathing room. Everything was smelling her. Honestly, her chamber had always been a place of heaven for me. She did not know but I used to come here and smell her on her bed, on her couch, and in her bathing room when I missed her so badly.

I did not know but her bodily fragrance was like my drug, I could not stay even a single day without inhaling her smell. When I was away from her for two years to see if I could live without her or not. I used to come here often and smell her things. Her dupatta, her pillows, her towel, her couch, her bed, everything.

Everything was so precious and magnificent to me.

I grabbed her towel after taking the bath and smelled it before using it to dry myself. Wearing my lower, and holding my kurta in the hand, I came to the bedroom.

And, my sight for her looking down the window.

"What happened?"

I asked and she shivered suddenly turning to look at me.

She exhaled deeply and said closing her eyes with relief.

"I thought you left,"

And, I chuckled.

"Ese kese, apni patni ke haath ka swadisht bhojan chodkar kyu jaenge,"

"Why would I leave leaving delicious food cooked by my wife,"

I said and walked towards the couch, in front of the table and said.

"Join me,"

She inhaled a deep breath and walked to sit beside me.

The aroma of spices and herbs were filling the room and I felt my mouth watering.

"It already seems so good,"

I said and she smiled weakly.

"I am really nervous. You know my mother found me cooking in the kitchen,"

And, I smiled.

"Then, what happened?"

She looked at me and said with big eyes and an excited voice. And, I forwarded my hand to tear a bite.

"She almost caught me lying. I said that I am cooking because I want to have Gatta Curry. And, she immediately said that I do not like Gatta Curry. And I got so, so scared. Then, I tried to tell her my taste has changed and now I eat it, but she was believing me and she star-,"

I immediately shut her up by feeding her a big bite.

She gasped and looked at me with thinned eyebrows and started chewing abruptly.

Meanwhile, she swallowed it and was about to say something.

"Rudra, I do not li-,"

I fed her another bite and she looked at me with anger and surprise.

She started chewing faster and I continued feeding her until she gave up on telling me the story.

"Aap bhi to khaiye,"

"You also eat,"

I nodded and said.

"Let my little wife get some energy first,"

She smiled and placed her head on my shoulder calmly.

I kept feeding her and started eating too. One bite for her than for me. We both ate in silence and honestly I loved it. It was delicious and so tasty.

"Ek baat bataye Nandani,"

"Should I tell you something?"

She looked at me and nodded.

"Ji,"

I smiled and had the last bite of it, finishing everything she cooked.

"You cook exactly like a mother and the last time I ate this was when my mother cooked it for me,"

I said and she looked at me with silent and surprised eyes.

"Really?"

She asked and I nodded.

"Thank you so much. I feel like I have eaten something to my heart's content after such a really long time. I am feeling as if... I do not know but like I have come home after a long journey,"

I turned a little emotional at the end and she held my hand tightly.

She stayed silent and kept her head on my shoulder.

I did not know but it was so peaceful, so calm and comfortable. It was like witnessing the silence after the storm. A really long storm that had ruined everything. But, now it was the time to rebuild everything that was ruined from the scratch. It's never too late.

The silence followed and after some time she moved away from me.

"Come to bed,"

She said holding my wrist and standing up.

I washed my hand in the bowl and dried my hands before walking with her to the bed.

She slipped into the comforters and said patting the side of her bed.

"Now, you should also have a backache,"

I chuckled and lay beside her.

She immediately collected me in her arms while I placed my head on her midriff. My hands rested beside her waist and I could feel her warm skin sending warmth to my cheek.

I closed my eyes when she started running her hands through my hair slowly and gently. And, I did not realise when I fell asleep.

I gained consciousness again when I felt her shaking my shoulder.

"Rudra,"

She called and I inhaled a deep breath, moving a little above her chest.

"Rudra,"

She started shaking my shoulder even more and I just did not want to wake up. It was like I had slept this calmly after such a long time.

"Rudraaaa,"

Now, I felt her voice shaky and tensed and I lifted my face and half opened my eyes to look at her.

Her face was pale, scared and her eyes wide. Her lips trembling and her cheeks had turned red.

My little wife were feeling needy again.

I immediately moved closer and placed my lips on her.

I sucked her lips passionately for once cupping her cheek firmly.

And she immediately pushed me away with all her strength and I fell off the bed on the floor with a loud thud having my legs tangled in the comforters.

"Jawai saaaa!!!,"

Suddenly the voice of two ladies caught my attention and I immediately looked in that direction.

What the hell?

My sight fell on her mother and grandmother standing and looking at me with wide eyes and shock.

Noooooo!!!

"Aap theek to hai?"

"Are you okay?"

Her grandmother walked close to me and believe me that I never felt this much embarrassed in my whole life.

I immediately covered my face with the comforter and said.

"I am not here... I am not here,"

"Maa saheb, chaliye yahan se,"

"Maa saheb, come from here,"

I heard her mother whispering and then her grandmother walking close.

"Sabar rakho Abhi, hume jawai sa to mil to lene do,"

"Have patience Abhi, let me meet our son-in-law first,"

My heart was racing insanely.

I inhaled a sharp breath and lowered the comforter off my face. I looked at Nandani who was all red and hiding her face timidly.

"Kuch shan rukiye Daadisa,"

"Wait for some moments, Daadisa,"

I managed in a slow voice and keeping the comforters over me to hide my half-naked body, I walked toward the couch and held my kurta. Wearing it quickly and running my fingers through my hair, I embarrassedly walked towards her.

I bent down to touch her feet and she held my shoulders immediately to stop me.

"Aree, Jawai per nahi choote,"

"Nooo, Sons-in-law does not touch feet,"

Though she placed her hand on my head and said.

"Khush rahiye, Mahadev aapki sabhi manokamna poorn kare,"

"Be happy, may God fulfil all your wishes,"

She said with a wide smile and I also walked towards her mother who was holding the veil I said in a slow voice.

"Ji, Pranam,"

I greeted her a little seriously and she said.

"Shama kijiyega, hume pata nahi tha ki aap aaye hai anayatha hum Nandani ke kaksh me nahi aate... kal ye kuch aswastha lag rahi thi to subah subah hi haal poochne chale aaye,"

"Pardon us, We did not know that you were here otherwise we would not have come to Nandani's chamber... She seemed unwell yesterday that is why we came to ask her about her health this early morning,"

I felt embarrassed and shy instantly and said.

"Please, I am just leaving,"

And, her grandmother immediately said.

"No, why? It's Holi today, We will not let you leave without celebrating the festival,"

I smiled weakly and looked at Nandani who also stood up from the bed and grabbed her dupatta immediately covering her head with it.

"Daadisa, inhe kaam hai, ye to bass hamara swasthya poochne aaye the,"

"Daadisa, he has work back in the Sultanate, he only came to ask about my health,"

She managed to say with a little shaky and embarrassed voice and she immediately scolded her.

"Tum to chup hi raho, Nandani, Jawai sa aaye or tumne to bataya bhi nahi,"

"You must shut up, Nandani. You did not even tell us that he came,"

And, suddenly her mother spoke.

"Maa saheb, chaliye yaha se,"

"Maa saheb, lets go from here,"

And, she immediately turned to look at her.

"Tum Maa beti ek jesi ho, hume to koi kuch batata hi nahi, hum apne jawai sa se baat nahi kar sakte kya,"

"You mother and daughter are alike, you do not tell me anything, Can not I talk to my son-in-law,"

She said and I smiled.

Alright.

"Aaiye, Daadisa hum beth kar baat karte hai,"

"Come, Daadisa let's sit to talk,"

I said and she smiled.

We both sat on the couch. Although I was feeling insanely embarrassed because of the condition in which they had seen us, but I had to behave well and I looked at Nandani standing there.

"Tum bhi betho na Nandani,"

"You also come and sit, Nandani,"

She said.

She timidly took slow steps towards us and then sat beside her grandmother and she was sitting between us.

And, suddenly her mother said.

"Aap bethkar baate kijiye, hum bhojan ka prabandh karte hai,"

"You must sit and talk, I see what is in the breakfast,"

Her grandmother nodded and said.

"Jao Jao Abhi, or Raj ko bhi kehna ki Rudra aaye hai,"

"Go Abhi, and also tell Raj that Rudra has come,"

She nodded and walked out of the chamber.

I looked at her grandmother and she looked at me.

"To kesa hai sab kuch, vaha Suryagarh me?"

"Then, how is everything at Suryagarh?"

I smiled timidly looking at her and nodded.

"Everything is good and slowly settling,"

I tried to say calmly voice and she smiled.

"Chalo acha hai, kal Nandani ka swasthya thik nahi tha to hume laga ki kahi khush khabhri to nahi...,"

"Then it's good, yesterday when Nandani was sick I thought that there might be some good news...,"

She said with a soft smile my eyes widened with shock and nervousness. I looked at Nandani's face which got me so nervous and scared.

I gulped

I almost chuckled deeply and shakily said.

"Abhi to Nandani bahut nasamajh or choti hai,"

"Nandani is too young and silly,"

And, she laughed.

"Vo to hai lekin hamari Nandani bahut samajhdar bhi hai... sabka bahut dhyan rakhti hai, sabse bahut prem karti hai,"

"That is true but our Nandani is very intelligent and thoughtful too... she takes care of everyone, she loves everyone,"

She said and I smiled.

"Ji, that I know very well,"

Suddenly, she furrowed her brows and took her hand behind her back and took out something from under him.

"Ye kya chub raha hai,"

"What is this poking me?"

She held that gold ornament in her hand and looked at it with a sharp gaze.

And, I turned insanely timid and nervous. My eyes came out of socket to look at her holding it her hand.

Nandani also got very scared and her cheeks turned insanely red.

She looked towards her.

"Are Nandani, ye kya cheej hai, kaafi sunder hai, ye kis tarah ka Aabhoshan hai?"

"What is this Nandani? It is very beautiful and what kind of ornament is this?"

This was it.

I wanted to run from here now.
