Daniella is complex. To start it off, she's incredibly intelligent. You can't not be intelligent if you're going into this kind of job, right? She has a mind that won't stop turning, though certain people can clog the gears on occasion. This curious girl can't stop herself from trying to find the solution to any problem, whether it is plaguing just her or her friends. She's helpful, and not willing to let something go if someone won't tell her everything. Would this be called being nosy? Not really. She just wants the full truth. Dani is also tough. She has thick skin, built up from years of being the oldest child and having to be responsible for everything. If you're not being fair, she won't accept it and will not be afraid to call you out. (She has a bit of a temper, so watch out.) She is an avid feminist, because how could she not be? Go equality! She's very vocal on how she feels, so if she's not giving her opinion, you know something is up. Despite how upfront she is, she is incredibly caring, as well as protective of her friends and family. Because, well, she wouldn't be anywhere without them. If you have her back, she'll have yours. And if you try to knock her down, she'll just get up and put you down in her place. It's like Shakespeare said: though she be but little, she is fierce.

Persuasion: Daniella has a voice like honey, and with a few words can convince practically anyone to do anything that she wants. Once the sound of her voice enters your ears, it becomes very hard to resist. She keeps this power a secret, and uses it only in the most dire situations. She claims this is because using it saps her energy (which it does). But that isn't the only reason.
Illusions: In addition to making you do what she wants you to do, Daniella can make you see what she wants you to see. With a wave of her hand, she is able to alter what someone can see or hear, creating a sort of new reality that seems just as real as the actual world. Creating these illusions takes a lot of focus, and a lot of energy.
Force fields: Lastly, Daniella can also create force fields to protect both herself and the people around her. If you think of Violet from The Incredibles, it's pretty much that.

Daniella can throw a mean punch, and she's always had a knack for hand-to-hand combat. She is also very fast and agile (though that is all natural and not part of her powers). She is good with technology. If you need someone to hack into something, she's the person to call. In addition, she is very skilled in the scientific field and knows a lot about psychology.

Dani is terrified of needles and small, cramped spaces. She would never admit it, but she also has a fear of her powers, especially her power of persuasion. She is absolutely terrified of using it and then having it lead to something bad. That is why she doesn't want to use it. She's scared that once she starts using it more, she won't be able to turn it off. One of her other biggest fears is losing the people that she cares about.

basic backstory
Daniella Ruiz is the daughter of a college Science professor and a lawyer. Her family moved to Central City when she was five years old, and a month after they moved her little brother was born. Two years after that her little sister came along. Her parents were usually busy with their jobs and often had to work late. So as Daniella got older, she would help out by watching her little siblings when her mom was busy with a case and her father was grading papers. Once she got to high school, she joined multiple clubs and managed to become valedictorian. Once she graduated, she left Central City to go to college at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She came back to Central City two years after she graduated. A few weeks before she turned twenty-four, the particle accelerator was set to turn on. She was with her father in the crowd that night. The two of them had been looking forward to this ever since they heard about the project. Then it exploded and she fell to the ground as people rushed to get away. She woke up in the hospital a few hours later with a mild concussion. Her concussion healed and everything seemed fine. But a week before her birthday, she woke up with her powers. She didn't tell anyone about what she could do until much later, about a year after the explosion.
