"Hey Pink! Woah... who shattered?" I ask, noticing the tears in her eyes.

"Well, Ruby, Yellow Diamond found you too suspicious, and decided to have you shattered."

"What? I'm going to be shattered!" I asked.

"No, thankfully I talked her out of it when I proposed to take you with me to Earth."I sigh in relief.

"So that gets me a pass to leave, makes our plan much easier!" I notice how sad she still looks. "Hey, Pink? What's wrong?"

"Well, it's Sapphire..."

"OHMYMOONGODDESSTHEYSHATTEREDSAPPHIRE?" I ask, maybe just a bit louder than I'd like to admit.

"No, no! It's not that, Ruby. It's just that she's..."

"Cracked?"

"No..."

"Chipped?"

"No..."

"On the brink of shattering?"

"Ruby! Let me speak. Sapphire's completely fine, she's just... going back to homeworld." At first, I'm confused. Then, I let the words sink in.

"So you mean I won't get shattered for treason, I can get to Earth to help you, and I never have to come back, but I'll never get to see Sapphire again?" Pink nods, and I can feel my heart shatter.

"Ruby, I'm-"

"I won't be able to hear her laugh, or see her smile, or gaze into her eye, or become Garnet ever again?"

"Ruby, I-"

"No! I don't want to hear it!" I cover my ears and fall to the ground in tears.

"The shuttle leaves when the hanger has orbited to face homeworld. You still have time."

"How much time?" I ask, intrigued.

"A few hours."

(A/N) So yeah, I just received some information that really inspired the conversation with (spoiler) Rose. Ruby had the same reaction I had, just I reacted mentally.
