Sapphire pov

I bow my head, blind in terms of future. My steps are slow. Many gems watch as my mother and I prepare to board the ship.

"Yes. This time, she'll be more obedient. We'll train her. I'll train her." Mother says quietly to Aunt Yellow. "I don't care what her punishment is, but I'll see too it nothing interrupts her training." Suddenly, I begin to sweat. I pretend to trip, falling on my face.

"Ow!" Everyone turns to look at me. Mother sighs.

"Foolish girl." She mutters. "Sapphire." She raises her stern voice. "Get up."

"No." I say quietly.

"What?" She asks, horrified.

"I said," I step up. "No!" The room goes silent. You could hear a pin drop.

"Sapphire!" Breaking the silence, Ruby slides into the middle of the doorway. "Sapphire?"

"Don't worry, Ruby, I've got this." Ruby steps back a few steps.

My Aunt, furious looking, steps forward to scream at me, but mother holds out her arm.

"Wait. I want to see how this ends." My Aunt begrudgingly obliges, stepping back. "Alright, Sapphire. You have the floor. Now speak."

I glance to the side, where my other two aunts stand watching, the white Pearl between them. The pink Pearl has mysteriously disappeared, leaving a story no one seems to want to follow. Pink nods.

"I'm not going! I know you think this is what I need to do, but I need to stay here!" She clenches her fist.

"You do not know who you're dealing with! I could have half of homeworld's army after you in an instant! You are coming with me, or else you shall be crushed!" Angrily stepping towards me, she reaches out and grabs me in her hand.

"Sapphire!" Ruby yells, reaching after me.

"As for you, you're the cause of all my problems!" She kicks Ruby aside, sending her crashing into Pink.

"No! Ruby! No!" I scream as mother carries me onto the ship.

(A/N) Sorry for the lack of updates and short chapter. I'm really starting to wring this dry, and need to cut a sequence or two out.
