Exile

Pearl drags me into a shuttle. A few gems I don't recognize are in here.

One sits at the control panel, taking off once Pearl gives the signal. Another one sits beside her, quietly communicating with someone on a different shuttle. A third sits up against the wall, knees pulled up and head in her hands, sobbing. And finally, the fourth sits against the other wall, quietly speaking to Pink.

Pink.

She looks over at me, smiling weakly. The orange gem beside her nods, and sits beside the crying gem. Pearl helps me over to Pink, who I now notice is holding something in her hand.

"Hello Ruby, looks like you're our little miracle,"  She says quietly.

"Was this planned?" I ask, sitting beside her.

"Well, we planned on Blue taking Sapphire. After that we were going to set off some of the bombs-"

"The bombs were your idea?" I ask, eyes wide. She nods, a tear escaping her eye.

"They were only supposed to be small. Take a few gems out." She says, trying to sugarcoat it.

"Who?" I ask. Was it supposed to take out Turquoise? As if reading my mind, she nods her head.

"Your friend, the truth seer, we knew no one would trust us with her-"

"So you decided to kill her!" I shout, my head heating up.

"Ruby, we had to choose the most important targets!" Pink shouts, raising the knife she holds above her head.

"Pink, what are you gonna do with that?" I ask, forgetting our argument.

"Something I should've done long ago!" She yells, glaring at her gem. Without any warning, she stabs the knife into her gem, cutting it down to a smaller size.

And the two gems fall silently to the ground.

(A/n) Okay, absolutely none of this was originally going to happen! But, now I guess you deserve a Sapphy story...

Right now...

Sapphy's pov

Approximately two days ago

"Ruby!" I scream, watching as she is sent flying into a wall. I hardly have any time to worry for her, however, as mother is pulling me into the shuttle. The shuttle stays long enough to allow Aunt Yellow and a select few aboard before she presses a button. In an instant, Aunt White is replaced by a pile of rubble and a blood curdling scream. The shuttle takes off as the hanger collapses, trapping everyone inside.

I wake up screaming, not a rare occurrence ever since they took me to this Damn place. I sigh.

"The walls are blue, the ceiling is blue, I am Blue..." I say quietly. All they've done is feed me and let me sleep.

There are no windows, and the bed takes up most if the room. Mother opens the door.

"Sapphire." She says, her voice hurt, yet threatening as ever. "It's time." I sigh, and dress myself in the Damn dress she left on the bed when I got here.

"Once again, it's blue." However not entirely, the sleeves are white. I also carefully put on the gloves that match.

When I open the door, Mother and Aunt Yellow are there. As twisted as it sounds, treason is actually a fairly exciting way to die.

They lead me up to the front steps of the palace. A chair is positioned conveniently for the galaxy to see my death livestreamed.

"Citizens of the galaxy," Aunt Yellow adresses the camera as mother straps me in. "We are gathered here, to make an example..." I zone out, speaking to my mother instead.

"You're a terrible mother," I say quietly.

"Be quiet." She commands.

"This will only spark the rebellion."

"And this,"  Yellow concludes, "is a reminder of how even the highest aren't safe when they rebel." She turns to me. "Any last words?"

"I love you, Ruby." I say, my face strong and still. Mother, on the other hand, blinks away a tear as she presses the button that wipes my life away.

(More A/N) MWAHAHAHA CLIFF HANGER
