"I'm back." Ruby greeted as she entered the house with some groceries in hand. Valir greeted back as he help her carry some of the large groceries, for which the maiden was thankful.

"Sorry if it took hours, I encountered Ms. Pharsa on the way and had some bonding. Hope it was fine with you?"

"Its fine. I was just asleep anyways." He lied since the hours he spent was a Convo between him and his teacher. Plus, they had a deal to not let her know about this.

Ruby then placed her apron as she started to grab some kitchen utensils for her to use to cook lunch. Valir persistently wanted to help out so she agreed though, was a little worried that he might set it on fire like last time.

"Just make sure that you won't set the whole kitchen on fire." Ruby joked while putting some shade, making the fire mage embarrassed.

"H-Hey! It was just one time ok." Valir reasoned while grumbling under breathe.

"Aww~ Don't be so sad. Just placing a reminder." Ruby laughed while chopping some cabbage that Valir washed. The fire mage was pouting but did laugh it off.

After a few minutes, they started to eat. Their taste buds tingle once they tasted the food they've prepared.

"So Good! Ruby, You're a remarkable cook!" Valir complimented while finishing his food faster.

"Its nothing. Thanks for helping me though, greatly appreciated." Ruby said with a bright smile which the fire mage blushed.

"I-I-Its nothing." He stuttered as he covered his mouth, even trying to stop the fast beating in his chest. After lunch, Valir volunteered to wash the dishes so Ruby could rest. The maiden protested but Valir insisted since he wanted to repay her, so she did and then went to her room for some rest leaving the fire mage do all the work.

A year has passed as both of them were on a mission, this time its back to Avalor. There was a sudden emergency that the King and Queen's knights had to fetch them. As they arrived Avalor, They could see the King and Queen awaiting for them. Ruby got out of first with Valir following behind, immediately the Queen approached them and gave Ruby a hug as tears rolled down her eyes.

"RUBY! OUR SON WAS KIDNAPPED BY THOSE WEREWOLVES! PLEASE BRING HIM BACK!" The Queen continued to sob as her husband approached them to comfort his wife.

"I'm sorry if it was an inconvenience for you two but we needed your help." The King spoke while continuing his comfort.

"What happened?" Valir asked since Ruby is pretty occupied with the Queen.

"We woke up for breakfast. I ordered one of our maids to wake him up in his room only to find out that he wasn't there. We searched everywhere for him but found nothing." The King explained.

"Then how did you know that he was kidnapped by the wolves?"

"We found some shedded hair and claw marks on his bed, you can check if you don't believe the story." Valir almost scoffed but stayed silent, trying not to he rude.

"We'll check it anyways, just in case we find something. My Queen, Please let me go for me and my partner shall investigate." The Queen let go only for a few seconds and ordered their maids to assist them.

They eventually got inside the Prince's room. Ruby gagged as she could smell the werewolves' scent from every cranny of it.

"It stinks."

"Wait, you can smell wolf around here?"

"Yeah and it's disgusting. Let's just hurry this up and leave to find the prince." Valir nodded his head as both of them started to investigate the whole room, even the Prince's own bathroom. Ruby searched under the bed to find some clues like a werewolf's broken nail or something related. Instead what she found is a box which has a Ruby Gem on the center. Out of curiosity, she opened it and her eye widened at the context inside.

"Hey Ruby, I can't find anything on the ba— What's that?" Valir eyed the opened box and the contents Ruby was holding, who still shock.

Inside are a bunch of drawings, some are coloured while others where just irrelevant and lewd. What's even shocking is that all of those drawings are about Ruby? They thought it was a hallucination or maybe someone other than her but it is about her. Another thing was that they found some of the maiden's lock of hair.

"Is he inlove with you or something?" Valir suddenly ask but inside of him was enraged at such a vile thing.

"I'm aware that he has a crush on me but I didn't think he'd do something like this." Ruby asnwered as she immediately returned the box to where its from.

"Aren't you going to tell his parents first?"

"I'll confront him first about this act and try to convince him again that I'm really not interested in him."

"Huh? Why? This place is wonderful and the King and Queen treated you as their own daughter, is from what I observe plus the Prince is quite good looking." Valir reasoned even though deep inside, it felt like his soul dying from time to time.

"I agree with you on that but I prefer my choice in life." They didn't say much now but continued to investigate. After a few minutes, they left Avalor to track down the Prince. It didn't take long for them to track him down as it led them at an abandoned castle.

"This place is so creepy." The Fire mage commented as he look around their surroundings.

"Well, it is an abandoned place so better deal with it. Its not bad...Well, if we could see a corpse around here." The maiden commented back while giving off a creepy small smirk. The mage then shivered in fear as he backed away.

"OI! DON'T BE LIKE THAT!" Ruby just laugh at Valir's reaction, earning her a small flick on her forehead.

"Ouch! Psh, Just admit that you're scared." Ruby gave a small whine as she rub her forehead.

"I am not, I just don't like whatever Atmosphere its giving." Valir said while crossing his arms.

"Are you sure about that?"

"Yes I am sure. Look, Can we just find that Weirdo Prince."

"Sure. I just wanted to sleep." Valir gave a small laugh as he followed beside the maiden. Unbeknownst to them, their hand intertwined together as they walk inside.

"Are you sure that this is the right place? We've been walking for like 20 minutes now." Valir commented while walking through the dark.

"I'm a hundred percent sure. I could smell his sweat around here and it stinks. Bleh!" Ruby gave a small sniff then immediately pinch her nose from the stench.

For a few minutes more, the duo found themselves at a large door. Ruby took a little sniff then immediately pinched her nose while doing a little gag in disgust. Valir took noticed of this and opened the large doors, both of them saw the Prince that's been chained up.

"Prince Romero?" Valir called out. The prince lifted his head as his eyes shined when his gaze were on the young maiden.

"RUBY! YOU CAME TO RESCUE ME! I'M SO HAPPY! I KNEW YOU'VE COME TO MY AID!" The prince continued his ramblings about the maiden, which made a certain fige mage piss off while the maiden to cringe.

"Don't worry prince, 'WE' have come to save you." Valir spoke out that made the prince to finally shut up.

"Don't interrupt me you pheasant, I was talking to Ruby." The prince snarled, glaring at the mage. Valir wanted to burn this royalty to ashes but calmed down when Ruby placed her hand on his shoulders while looking at him with pleading eyes.

"Let's just get this over with." Valir nodded his head as both of them approach the prince. While Valir was got close, Ruby's eye widened when she noticed something off.

"VALIR! WATCH OUT!" Thinking fast, Ruby ran and pushed the mage out of the way while retreating far back. With a bang, a giant iron cage was thrown down. Both of them quickly stood up, they then heard howling with a nunch of eyes looking at them from the shadows.

"Typical, Why am I not surprised?" Ruby said sarcastically as she readied her weapon with Valir following behind as he activated his arcane. Five wolves pounced on them but were already finished by Ruby's attack. Soon, Every werewolf started to attack all together but that won't stop the duo from attacking back, especially with the adrenaline that's rushing through their veins. The blood lust and massacre filled within them.

For about a few hours of massacre, the duo were exhausted with half of their mana left. Ruby finished her last two werewolves while Valir finished his last one. They took a breather for awhile before returning back their attention from the Prince, who has been watching this entire time. Valir found the key from one of the corpse while Ruby started on collecting their corpse.

"Why did it have to be you?" Prince Romero snarled at the mage who massaged his wrist after getting uncuffed.

"Shut up and be grateful that we saved your ass Prince." The mage snarled back before approaching the maiden. Valir growled when The Prince was released happily and had the audacity to pounce on Ruby to give her a hug. He excitedly thanked her for saving him but what really infuriated him was the way he held unto the maiden. The fire mage could also see the discomfort that his crush was giving as she awkwardly 'thank' the prince.

"We clear now?" Valir asked while continued on glaring at the Prince.

"Yeah, Let's get out of here." The maiden answered while pushing the Prince off her comfort zone. Which the Prince just whined but that didn't stop him as he grabbed her hand.

"Well then, Let's go!" Prince Romero exclaimed excitedly while dragging the Young maiden with an infuriated fire mage, who wanted to explode right now.

'This uncanny Prince.'

The now Trio then finally got out of the castle. Valir and Ruby were relieved but unfortunately for them, something was not right. The morning sun was now replaced with darkness with an eclipse as the moon. The two were even baffled when a lot of pair eyes were staring at them. The two were in fighting stance again and ready to attack while blocking the Prince for his safety.

"Stand Back your highness, We'll protect you." Just then, Ruby blacked out as soon as she finsihed her sentence. Valir was in shock as he retreated back from the Prince but still readied his arcane. He looked to see the Prince smirking at him as he picked up Ruby bridal style.

"You Bastard! Let Ruby go!" Valir shouted while evading one of the werewolves' attack. The Prince continued to smirk as he placed his face unto the maiden's side head, slowly sniffing her hair with delight.

"So that Kidnapping was just a set up huh?!" Valir snarled while cursing under breathe. He even blamed himself for not noticing something odd about this bastard nor investigating further earlier.

"What are you going to do? Kill me? Hah! As if, Ruby's mine and mine alone and I won't let anyone take her, especially guys like you. You know, I never liked you from the start." The Prince said while giving an obsessive growl.

"The feeling is mutual, I too never liked you in the first place." Valir gave out a scoff as he threw a blast at the Prince but failed as he successfully dodged it with Ruby in his arms.

"Careful Flame boy, You might burn this Gem." Prince Romero teased then commanded the werewolves' to attack. All of them pounce together as they readied their claws, instantly the eclipse was destroyed with Sunlight illuminating again on their area. Everyone, excluding the knocked out maiden, covered their eyes.

"NOT MY STUDENT!"

"NOT MY FAVORITE CHILD!"

"Freeze!"

Three voices called which the mage was already familiarize with. He uncovered his eyes and shocked to his Teacher, Pharsa and Aurora in the battlefield. Aurora frozed half of the werewolves on the right side, Pharsa used her magic and wiped out half on the center and Gord wiped ouf the enemies from his the Left.

"Valir are you alright?" Pharsa asked while wiping another set of werewolves.

"I'm fine, thanks for the help. Though, How did you find us or how did you all manage to get here?"

"Ah, I gave Ruby an item that would give a distress signal in which she used. Aurora and Gord tagged along insead of I going solo." Pharsa explained while continuing to attack.

"Wait, Where's Ruby?" Aurora asked. Valir immediately had his full attention then faced the Prince who wasn't happy.

"That Bastard has Ruby." Valir pointed out. The three adults faced the prince, instantly, The two female mages are already filled with rage as their blood started to boil at the sight.

"Keep your filthy hands off that Maiden, you dastardly bastard." Pharsa used her magic then immediately aimed at the Prince, which he almost dodged.

"Ms. Pharsa wait! You might hit Ruby!" Valir halted which the bird mage then stopped.

"Shoot! I didn't mean it." The Prince then smirk as he, alongside Ruby in his arms, blocked themselves into another kin of werewolves but this time they have a substitution. The ground started to shake as they could feel something that's going to pop on the ground, to which everyone backed away. A large roar erupted while coming out of the ground.

However, It was not alone as another large group came of the ground. Valir was shocked to see the same large beast that he and Ruby deafeted before but with companions this time.

"If you're wondering Flame boy about this beast, the you are correct. It is the same beast you and my Ruby defeated, this time with some companions and another upgrade. Honestly, I was expecting Ruby to fail so I could rescue her and be her Hero until you showed up and ruined everything." The Prince spoke out, as he stroke the maiden's hair.

"When my plan failed, I then took the beast and started my experiment again this time with no fail. I even devised another plan to lure Ruby in, expecting that you wouldn't be involved and yet you did." Prince Romero snarled at Valir but once he took a swift sniff at Ruby's hair that calmed himself.

"Are you crazy? What about your Parents, they'd be in harm from your plans?!" Valir shouted while burning at least 13 werewolves on his side.

"I don't care about them. Nothing matters more than to having this maiden in my arms." Those words immediately triggered Valir, he recalled his past.

"You don't care about your Family...?" Valir mumble under breathe.

'The destruction of his Kingdom'

'His best friend's betrayal.'

'The massacre he witnessed.'

'The screams of his citizens.'

'The way those two Wind Mages gaze upon them.'

'The death of his Father.'

Valir screamed as Fire started to engulf around his body and everywhere, burning anyone in the area. Lucky for the mages, Aurora ws able to block it using her ice magic as she made a giant ice wall. She started to struggled a little but was able to create another ice wall. For Romero and his allies, some were burned to death while others were saved by the beast's fire resistant body so they turned it into a shield.

That didn't stop the fire mage for unleashing more of his power. Aurora's ice wall started to melt fast, no matter how many times she block it while the beast was feeling the burns on his skin, some of the werewolves even started to collapse due to the temperature of the heat. The Prince started to run far away as he transformed into a werewolf, still carrying the unconscious maiden. Romero was already in a secluded area inside the abandoned castle, he gently placed Ruby down on the floor while opening some secret passages.

After those opened, He picked Ruby up again while kissing her forehead.

"We're finally alone now My love." He said while walking down the stairs.

"Valir!" Gord shouted in desperation for his student to hear but to no avail. He feared that Valir will overwork his magic as there was a probability that he might lose his magic or even worse Die.

"VALIR! STOP!" He shouted even louder. Gord looked around his surroundings, Aurora is getting tired by the second while Pharsa watch as she couldn't do anything to Stop the fire mage, as her magic could directly kill him. Another reason was due to the large waves of Fire that spread everywhere, hitting anything that it touches.

"What are we going to do? I can't keep this up." Aurora said while making another giant ice wall as the other one quickly melted away.

"No choice. Pharsa, we need to use our skills to deafeat Valir." Gord said, more like commanded.

"Are you mad?! That's your student! We might kill him!" Pharsa denied.

"I know but we have no choice. Its either we do it or we die plus think about the girl." That Triggered both female mages. Pharsa gave a sigh then agreed.

"Fine we—"

"VALIR!" Someone shouted that the burning heat stop. Basically every survivors turned to see a familiar person wearing a red cloak.

"VALIR! STOP! REMEMBER OUR PROMISE!" It was non other than Ruby, she gazed at Valir telling him to stop. The mage did as told even if he were surprised at seeing her. Without thinking, Valir immediately ran and hugged the maiden. The next thing he knew, he was already crying with Ruby comforting him.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry..." He said it over and over even though his voice was hoarse or even cracking.

"There, There, its alright." While the two were having a moment, they ignored the massacre that's behind them. The three mages decided to take it upon their hands and kill every single werewolves, even the beast.

Minutes later they pulled away, Valir blushed in embarrassment for the stunt he pulled and apologized again, to which the maiden just giggled and said that its fine. They check to see that every werewolf were defeated by the mages.

"Ms. Pharsa, Ms. Aurora and Sir Gord...I didn't expect you three here.." Ruby said with Valir holding her hand.

"My dear, I'm so happy that you're safe. I—"

"WHERE IS THAT AWFUL PRINCE?!" Aurora suddenly burst, cutting off the Bird mage. She readied her ice magic while scanning around their area.

"The Prince is inside the castle tied up." Ruby calmly said while pointing to the inside of the abandoned castle. The fire mage didn't waste any time as he suddenly stormed in while preparing his arcane, the little maiden called out for him and followed him, alongside side the mages.

They've reached the place where the tied up Prince is, unconscious on the spot. He only got a bruise on his left cheek, its really purple and very seen. Valir had an evile demeanour in mind but Ruby stopped him.

"Do your worst later, We need to bring him back and let his parents know." The fire mage grumbled in dissatisfaction but followed anyways. Gord volunteered to carry the prince cause Pharsa and Aurora demanded. They also didn't let neither Valir nor Ruby to carry the Prince as they didn't want more of his filth on them.

They all arrived at Avalor and yet again, the King and Queen are there at the entrance gate, waiting for them. They cheered as they could see their loving son safe. The one who approached the Prince was the Queen but was stopped by her husband who ordered the guards to assist their son. Gord placed the Prince unto on of the soldier's arms, the guards bowed down first then went inside the Kingdom.

"Thank you all so much for bringing my son back safe!" The Queen exclaimed with great joy and gratitude. However, her enthusiasm didn't last long once she saw the sad expression on their faces. Curious, she asked them on what's going on. With a moments of silence, Ruby requested for a private conversation with the Queen. But first, they let the mages in before the two before walk away. The King took charge on escorting them to their castle to welcome them and maybe start a celebration.

"Valir, How do you feel?" Pharsa suddenly whispered while walking beside him.

"About what?" The fire mage whispered back.

"About your feelings for Ruby?"

"W-Wha—?! What! What do you mean?!" Valir almost shouted but lucky for him, his trachea seeemed to have interfered with it. Saving his ass from embarrassment when the King is talking. Though its evident that he is blushing at the mention of the young maiden's name.

"Can't we discuss this somewhere private?" Valir reasoned while trying to stop his blush. Pharsa could only laugh, especially when her husband—Verri, told her what's happening. The Bird mage agreed as they continued to listen to the King's speech about the Hereos who saved the Prince. The Fire mage could only barf at the mention of that disgusting bastard, he was itching to activate his arcane and to find the prince as he wanted to burn him. Aurora eventually took noticed of this and used her ice magic to cool him off for awhile.

'Just Chill, Remember what Ruby said.' Aurora mouthed to which Valir understood, since Ruby taught him how to read someone's lips. He was thankful for that.

'Sorry.' Valir mouthed back. His mind started to wander around, imagining a lot of things—mainly about the things he's going to do in the future. He blushed when he imagined him and Ruby being a couple, he recalled a lot of moments of Ruby being the best housewife and at the same time, a hot-ass Hunter. He eventually snapped back to reality when Aurora slapped him on the face hard.

"Ow! What was that for?!" The fire mage exclaimed while rubing the pain on his cheek.

"Sorry, its just that...You zoned out for awhile now. We tried to wake you up but to no avail, so I decided to use slap and its super effective~" Aurora teased while sticking out her tongue.

"Its fine..I deserve it anyways." Valir said while continuing to rub his cheek as it still hurts.

"Romero Alverez the third, you are hereby sentence to 30 years in prison. But because of the other crimes you've commited, such as, making a deal with the werewolves, Giving and teaching them illegal magic, Your obession, Harassment and attempt Kidnapping on the Hero Huntress Lady Ruby, Illegal experiments and almost the fall of the Kingdom. It is decided by the King and Queen that after your sentence in prison, you are hereby to be immediately executed, instead of banishment ." An announcer said as he read through the scroll in the middle of a staduim. The crowd cheered while 'booing' the now Ex-Prince Romero, who's been tied on the pole. Romero snarled as he tried to use his magic to remove the chains but to no avail. He eyed everybody, including his parents with the face of disgust. That's when his eyes darted to person who's been making his heart beat go crazy.

"Ruby.." He mumbled, immediate excitement ran through his veins. Unfortunately for him, he even saw Valir casually walking beside Ruby then gave her some food. His blood boiled when he saw Ruby being happy to the man who isn't him. He started to scream while cussing out loud on Valir in madman style. The Queen ordered the guards to take him out with a disappointing face.

After telling the Queen about their son's foul actions, Ruby did expect the queen to not believe her words. Though after showing the box as evidence and a little bit of memory magic that the Queen used, she believed it. Now the Queen was furious that she stormed out. The same thing happened to the King when his wife told him about their son's scheme. It was a sad lost for them, he's still their son but not anymore.

After that incident, The Five left Avalor after a celebration. They bid farewell once they split up.

"Don't forget to confess Valir~" Aurora whispered into the fire. mage's ear with a teasing tone, making Valir jolt then back away. Lucky for him, Ruby is quite busy with Pharsa and Gord.

"S-Soon..." Aurora gave a small hum while ruffling Valir's hair, clearly showing her support. She elegantly ran to where Ruby and the others are, happily joining in the chat. Valir just stood there watching with a smile on his face.

"I can do this!" Valir exclaimed a loud.

"Can do what Valir?" Valir then paused while looking a lot of eyes that are locked on him.

"....Uh...."

'WHY DO I HAVE TO EMBARRASS MYSELF AGAIN?!?!' The next thing he knew, he passed out.

" Valir!!!"
