YN's POV
I woke up from the best sleep I've ever had in my life I looked down to see Ruby resting her head on my chest still sleeping. "She looks so peaceful when she's sleeping... Yangs right I need to tell her how I feel, quick" I thought as Ruby started to wake up. She sat up and stretched letting out an adorable Yawn she then looked at me and her face became slightly red before she laid back down "Good morning Ruby"

"Good morning YN, How did you sleep?"

I blushed "Umm G-good"

Ruby sat up again and looked to where Blake sleeps to see the bed completely empty "ohh I thought she would have come back last night" Ruby said in a sad tone of voice

I reached up and ruffled her hair "Well that's what today is for, to find her" I smiled at her

"You're right YN" as she slid out of bed I was pretty disappointed when she did

Ruby's POV
That was the best wake up I've ever had sleeping in YN's arms was good enough but waking up and the first thing I see is him smiling at me it felt so nice. I didn't want to get out of bed but if I stayed YN might have gotten uncomfortable besides we have to find Blake.

Timeskip to the Streets of Vale looking for Blake
YN's POV
Everyone except for Weiss was shouting Blake to try and find her

"Weiss you're not helping"Ruby said annoyed

"You know who might be able to help, The Police" Weiss said

"Weiss" Ruby said in a angry tone of voice

"It was just an idea" Weiss said

"Yeah a bad one" Ruby responded before continuing the search

"Just try and keep and open mind Weiss remember not all White Fang are evil" I said

"Weiss I think we should hear her side of the story before we jump to any conclusions" Yang said

"I think once we hear her side of the story you will all realize I was right" Weiss said

"And I think Weiss' hair looks wonderful today" a fifth voice said

We all turned around to see Penny the weird girl from Yesterday

"Ahhh! Penny where did you come from?!" Ruby yelled

"Hey guys what are you up to?" She said not explaining how in the hell she snuck up on us let alone found us in the entire city of Vale

"We're looking for our friend Blake" I said

"Ooohhh you mean the fannus girl" Penny said

"Wait how did you know" Ruby asked

"Umm the cat ears" she said pointing to her head

"What cat ears she wears a Bow..." Yang said as it dawned on her

As dramatic tumble weed passed by

"She does like tuna a lot" Ruby quietly pointed out

"So where is she?" Penny asked

"We don't know she's been missing since last night" Ruby said

"That's terrible Don't worry Ruby my friend I won't rest until we find your teammate" Penny said running up to Ruby

I watched as Yang and Weiss quickly walked away "That's really nice of you Penny but we got this right guys" she looked to where Yang and Weiss were standing

"Yeah they left a little bit ago" I said

As more tumble weed blew by "My it sure is windy today" Penny said

Timeskip to a bit later

"Sooo Blake is your friend" Penny said

"Yes Penny" Ruby said

"But you're mad at her?"

"Yes P-We'll Weiss is" I said

"Is She friends with Blake?"

"Well that's kinda up in the air right now" I responded

"Why?"

"Well you see Blake might not be who we thought she was" Ruby said

"Is she a man?"

"No no Penny it's... We don't know what she is" I said

"She didn't exactly talk to us before she decided to run off" Ruby continued

"I don't have a lot of friends but if I did I'd want them to talk to me about things"

"Me too" Ruby said

Time skip to even later
We were walking down the street with Penny when we heard an explosion coming from the docks

"Oh no" Ruby said

"Our Team always seems to be near or the cause of large explosions in random areas soooo are we going?" I asked Ruby

She nodded and we took off

We eventually made it onto the roof of a building and saw what was happening. "Told ya she'd be here" I said Blake and that fannus from the other day were fighting that torchwick Guy Ruby talks about "Hey!" Ruby yelled

"Oh hello Red isn't it past your bedtime" Torchwick said

I walked up "Oh yay another little squirt I have to deal with. I gotta tell ya Red not a big fan of your friends" Torchwick said upon seeing me

"Ruby are these people your friends?" Penny said

Ruby turned "Penny get back" as she turned Torchwick fired a dust shot at ruby

Before it hit her I used my semblance to fire a shock wave to knock it off course sending it into an industrial crate "Well that's fairly annoying" Torchwick said

"Are you ok Ruby?" I said with genuine concern

"Yes thank you"She said

Penny walked up to the edge of the building "Penny Wait!" Ruby said

"Don't worry Ruby I'm combat ready"As she jumped down

I walked up to the edge of the building beside ruby and looked at her "Hey Ruby"

"Yeah YN"

"Be careful I don't want to lose another loved one to the White Fang" before she could question what I just said I jumped off the roof

Ruby's POV
"Wait what just happened!?" I thought while staring at YN and Penny fight "Did he just call me a loved one does He mean more than a friend!?" My thoughts began to race trying to figure out what this could mean for the future but I slapped myself to knock myself out of my trance "Come on Ruby you can ask him about that later just focus on stopping this!" I thought as I jumped down to join YN and Penny in the fight. Penny did most of the work, literally cutting ships in half as me and YN fought White Fang on the floor.

Timeskip to Yang and Weiss showing up
We were sitting around on boxes with the Police around us I wanted to ask YN what he meant by what he said before the fight but I was so nervous. I tried to hold his hand to get his attention but just before I did my palms started sweating from my nervousness so I pulled away. Yang and Weiss then showed up I walked up to Weiss "look Weiss it's not what you think she explained the whole thing you see she doesn't actually wear a bow she has kitty ears and they're actually kinda cute" I said rambling as Weiss walked past me up to Blake

They stared at each other for a few seconds "Weiss I want you to know that I am no longer associated with the White Fang-"She was interrupted by Weiss

"Stop! Do you have any idea how long we've been searching for you 12 hours that means I've had 12 hours to think about this and in those 12 hours I've decided" we all sat there anxiously waiting for her answer

"I don't care"

"You don't care?"Blake said

"You said you aren't with them anymore right?"

"Yes I haven't been since-" Weiss again interrupted

"I don't wanna hear it! all I want to know is that next time if something this big comes up you will come to your teammates and not some... someone else"

"Of course"

"Ya team RWBY is back together!"I said excitedly

"I'm still not quite sure how I feel about you!?" Weiss said to the guy that we had learned was named Sun

"Hey where's Penny?" I said looking around I couldn't find her but while looking around my eyes landed on YN again and I just stared at him

Yang must have noticed she wrapped her arms loosely around my shoulders "go talk to him sis"she said

I looked back at her and she smiled at me before nudging her head towards YN "Come on Ruby you got this"Yang said again as I gulped loudly then took a deep breath and started walking towards YN who noticed me as I got close

"H-h-hi YN" I said I was trying to hide it but God I was nervous

"H-h-hi Ruby"

"C-can I t-talk to you in p-private" I said trying to keep control over how much I was stuttering

"S-s-Sure"

We than walked off to the side away from the group so nobody could hear us

"Ummm W-what did you want to t-talk about?" YN said

"Umm W-well Umm before the fight you told me something" I saw his face get extremely red it was kinda cute

"you t-told me to be careful and that you didn't want to lose another l-l-loved o-one to The White Fang...Did you mean what you said?"

"W-w-w-which part do you mean?"

"Ummm the part about me being a l-l-loved one"He seemed to get more nervous as I brought this up

"Unless you didn't mean me when you said that!" I said incredibly embarrassed covering my face with my hands as my face started heating up

"No no Ruby it's ok!" he gently and slowly pulled my hands away from my face and we stared into each others eyes

"Ummm... I it Umm" he seemed nervous, about as nervous as I was about this

He gently held my hand "the l-l-loved one I was talking about w-was you Ruby I-I-I-I..." he was trying to say something but words stopped coming out

I placed my other hand in his other hand and smiled at him "it's ok YN y-you can tell me"

He took a deep breath and took a little bit to gain his composure before speaking

"I'm in love with you Ruby"

His words shocked me I didn't know what to say "I-I-I-I" I tried to tell him how I felt but the words refused to come out

"It's ok if you don't feel the same I just needed to let you know" he said in a low sad tone of voice as he dropped his head and I swear I saw a tear forming I tried again to get words to work

"No YN Please I-I-I love you too"I finally said it it felt amazing to finally say

He raised his head quickly so he was looking into my eyes I brought my hand up and wiped the one tear that had started forming once it was gone he held my hand again and smiled

"I've l-loved you since I met you outside of the school"YN said

"I've l-loved you since that day too"I said

"Then we could have d-done this much s-sooner" he said as he gently placed his hands on my hips and we both blushed like crazy

"Yeah but we were b-both to n-nervous I guess" I said wrapping my arms around his neck as we started to lean our faces closer and closer

Our lips connected and it felt amazing the kiss lasted a couple seconds we pulled away and looked at each other before kissing again this time much longer

It was getting harder to breath but we stayed connected then we heard Yang yell "Woohooo Finally!!!"l felt YN laugh into the kiss than we separated and we both looked over at Yang with both of her fists in the air with a smile looking at us and everyone else looked at Yang than over to me and YN

"We should probably get back to the team" YN said

"There gonna have questions" I  said

"Who cares" YN responded before quickly pecking me on the lips

As we walked back to the group

"When did- , How long have-... Explain!?" Weiss said

Me and YN just giggled "we'll talk about this at the Dorm" I said

Timeskip to dorm
As soon as all 5 of us were in the room Weiss closed the door "Explain Now!?"

Me and YN giggled then spoke "Ummm we're kinda d-d-dating now I-I guess" I said

"I umm I told her I l-l-loved her j-just before the f-fight with Torchwick and she pulled me aside and t-told me we both f-felt the s-same" YN said stuttering nervously which was adorable to see him so nervous about telling his own team about this

"I didn't even know you guys liked each other like that" Blake said

"Yeah I was pretty secretive of it" YN Said

"Same"I responded

We then both said at the same time
"The only person I told was Yang" I said
"The only person I told was Yang" YN said 

"Wait What?!" I shouted at Yang I assumed that YN already thought that I had told Yang about my feelings for him because he didn't react the same way I did

Yang scratched the back of her neck nervously "Yeah sorry Ruby I had already assumed he had a thing for you but then he told me on one of our off days and I promised to keep my lips sealed" she said

"But I'm your sister doesn't that outrank best friend in the secrets department?" I asked

"Probably" Yang said

"We should go to bed soon it's like 1 in the morning" YN said

We all climbed into our respective beds. I couldn't seem to fall asleep it felt like something was missing I then glanced down to see YN tossing and turning like I was

YN's POV
I tried to sleep but it felt like I needed something I assumed it was something to do with Ruby but I think I got this, just than I feel something soft hit my face lightly. I pulled it off of my face, it was a pillow I looked up and saw Ruby peering over the edge of her bed "Hey YN" she whisper yelled down to me

"What?" I whisper yelled back

"D-d-do you w-wanna s-sleep up here tonight?"

"Y-you s-Sure?"

"W-we've done it before right?" She said sorta sarcastically.

I started quietly making my way up to her bed with the pillow she threw at me. I hugged her and she nuzzled her head into me "that's better" she said satisfied

I pulled the blanket over us "Goodnight Ruby"

"Goodnight YN"

And just like that we both fell asleep almost instantly

That ends Volume 1 of RWBY which means next part will start off Volume 2
