YN's POV
We were surrounded by Grimm. Everyone was doing their best to hold off the Grimm. Me, Weiss, Maple, Velvet, Coco, Ren, Nora, Sun and Neptune were doing our best to hold off the Grimm as well as fight off two Atlesian Paladins that had turned on us. Nora got taken out and Ren followed shortly after "Weiss Launch me!" I yelled

She made a glyph under me that was able to propel me onto one of the Paladins. I started shoting down shockwaves on the paladin I was on. It reached up and ripped me off of it and tossed me at Sun. He was able to use his semblance clones to stop me before I hit him "This isn't working" Sun said

"I guess now is as good a time as any. Velvet!" Coco said

"Really!?" Velvet said excitedly

"Just make em count" Coco said

Velvet started walking up to the Paladins "What are you doing she's going to get hurt!" Weiss yelled

"Just watch" Coco said

Velvet extended her arm and formed a sort of holographic version of Ruby's Scythe and began to fight with that. She then swapped to Weiss's Rapier the to Yang's Gauntlets and then Blake's swords. She then created my left sword and Maple's sword and began slicing through the Paladins with that. She switched to Coco's minigun then switched to Sun's staff to block an attack. She was launched back and switched to Nora's hammer to deliver a strike to the first Paladin. She then switched to Penny's swords and began slicing through the Paladins before firing a beam from Penny's weapons. Velvet then got knocked away by a Paladin and we all jumped in to fight it with ranged attacks. Weiss ran towards Velvet using her glyphs to run faster. A large glyph appeared behind her and she stood in front of Velvet. The Paladin was about to hit them before an Icy spectral Knight's arm with a sword blocked the attack and cut the Paladin in half. Everyone ran up to Weiss and Velvet "What was that Weiss!?" I said

"I-I don't really know"

"You've been holding out on us" I joked

"No it's just I didn't think I could do that"

"That was amazing Weiss" Maple said

"T-Thank you" she smiled

We then turned our attention to another Paladin strangely enough this one looked kinda like a badger. "You have got to be kidding me!" Sun groaned

It started running towards us then collapsed just short of us. "Oh... Good work team!" I said

"Weiss, YN!" We heard Yang yell

"Shit" "YN where's Ruby?" She asked

"I kinda let her go off and be you know... Ruby"

Her eyes turned red "Why would you do that I told you to look after her!"

"Yang your sister is so much stronger than you think she is. I understand the worry. I'm worried too but you should know by this point you can't stop Ruby from trying to be the hero"

She closed her eyes and they turned back to her lilac colour "If she gets hurt you're dead"

"If Ruby gets hurt I'll let you kill me" I said

"Have either of you seen Blake?"

"She went after an Alpha and some members of the White Fang" Weiss said pointing off in a direction

Yang ran is that direction towards Blake. I heard an explosion and saw the Altleasian Air ship that Ruby was on start to descend "No! No! No! No!" I shouted

I started running towards where it landed and I started to hear sniper shots in the air. I looked up and saw Ruby pogoing to the ground using her shots to slow down her descent. She rolled and landed a little in front of me "YN! I-" I interrupted her by grabbing her by the collar and pulling her into a deep kiss

I separated from the kiss and put my forehead to hers "Please.Stop.Doing this. This is like the second time you've almost died today. Do you know how worried me and Yang get?" I said

"I'm sorry YN"

"I know"

We ran up to the airships docks and found Weiss and Maple "Ruby where have you-"

"Weiss I'm fine. What's going on?" Ruby asked

Weiss looked down and stayed silent "Weiss?"

She stepped out of the way and revealed Blake laying on the ground clutching a stab wound on her stomach but that wasn't the worst of it. Yang was laying beside her and one of her arms was cut off at the elbow as Ren and Nora looked after them. Blake reached over to Yang "I'm sorry. Im so sorry" she said as tears ran down her face

Sun walked up "Hey she's gonna be ok the soldiers have a ship ready to take you guys to Vale" he said

"But Jaune And Phyrra are still missing" Nora said

"What?!"

"Listen guys! That flying Grimm keeps circling the school. Even the White Fang are pulling out. We all have to go now" Sun said

"We're not leaving" Ren strained trying to stand up but failing and falling back to one knee

"I'll find them. I'll find them and bring them back"

I held Ruby's hand "No"

"YN I-"

"We'll find them and bring them back. I'm not letting you go alone again"

She smiled "I'm coming too. I'm not gonna let my brother die on my watch" Maple said

"Well the more the merrier I guess" Weiss said and joined us as well

We started running towards Beacon tower. After a while Weiss' scroll started ringing "It's Jaune!"

"Jaune where are you?"

"Please you have to stop her!" Jaune yelled

"What?"

"Phyrra! She went after that woman at the top of the tower she doesn't stand a chance!" He yelled

"Jaune What are you talking about?"

"Don't worry about me! Just please you have to save Phyrra"

"We will" we then heard the sound of his scroll breaking

"Jaune? Jaune?!" Weiss yelled

The Grimm Dragon roared and we all readied our weapons "I have a plan" Ruby said

"You always do" Weiss responded

As we continued on our way to the tower we had to fight Grimm on the way which was slowing us down. We couldn't even get into the building. We watched various blasts come from the top of the building "We have to hurry!" Ruby yelled

Weiss created a line of glyphs up the tower "I know you can do this" She said

Ruby nodded and started to run up the tower "Can I trust you with Maple?" I asked Weiss

"Of course" She said

I smiled and ran up the building behind Ruby using my shockwaves to give me a quick boost up. We kept running and eventually made it onto the building but we were to late. We made it just in time to see Phyrra shot through the heart with an arrow. I dropped to my knees behind Ruby as we were both stunned. We watched the black haired girl burn Phyrra to dust leaving just her golden crown. I looked to Ruby and she was crying. She's been through so much today. Something I can't explain happened next Ruby stood up and shouted Phyrra's name and as she did a blinding White light shot from her silver eyes. "What?!" The girl yelled

I quickly shielded my eyes as best I could. After a few seconds the light had past and Ruby was standing there wobbling. She was about to fall off the tower but I caught her and pulled her towards me. She was now unconscious. I looked to the girl and the Grimm Dragon. The Dragon was turned to stone and the girl was screaming in pain clutching one side of her body. I picked Ruby up onto my back and jumped of the tower. Before I hit the ground I started using my shockwaves t slow the descent. I ran up to Weiss and Maple "What was that light?" Weiss asked

"Well it was Ruby but I don't know how" I responded still a little shocked

"Where's Phyrra?"

I started crying and shook my head no and Weiss gasped. She dropped to her knees and Maple hugged her and Weiss hugged back crying into her shoulder. "We were just barely to late" I said looking down crying

Maple helped Weiss up and we walked to the airships. I walked over to Blake and Yang and placed Ruby beside them. "YN. Where's Phyrra?" Nora said already crying and assuming the worst

"I'm sorry. We weren't fast enough" I said

Nora cupped her hands over her mouth and Ren pulled her into a hug. I found Qrow soon after and he brought Me, Yang, Ruby and Maple to their house on Patch. We all walked up with Yang who had woken up and had her arm bandaged by now. I was carrying Ruby on my back and we made it to a nice cabin the woods. Qrow knocked on the door and Taiyang opened the door. Qrow probably told him in advance what had happened to Yang and Ruby by this point but I  could still see the shock on his face when he had to come face to face with it. I walked Ruby to her bed "Hey YN" Taiyang said from behind me

"Yeah Taiyang" I responded

"I appreciate you taking care of Ruby. You and your sister can stay as long as you like" he said

"Thank you it's the least I could do for the one I love" I said looking down to Ruby

I then changed Ruby out of her battle clothes and into a pair of pajama's I found. The house had a guest room which I told Maple to stay in and I slept in Ruby's room in a chair by her bed holding her hand. I never really left to explore the house just to go to the washroom, bring plates to the kitchen after Taiyang gave me food, and to sometimes check up on Yang. She wasn't the same she barely talked and had a mournful look anytime I would see her. Me and Ruby's dad were waiting in her room for her to wake up. I felt some shifting under my head and looked up to see Ruby sitting up "Ruby you're awake!" I said and hugged her

Taiyang woke up from the volume of my voice "Ruby!"

"Dad what's happened?" She asked

"You were unconscious YN got you out of their and found Qrow and he brought you home safe" he explained

"Wait what about Yang!" She yelled

We both looked down "She's Umm she's gonna be alright I think it's just gonna take some time to get used to things" he said

"She's to strong to let this stop her. You know that" I said

"I'm just glad to have my girls back at home"

"What about the school?! And Vale! Were they able to clear out the Grimm?!" Ruby said

"Things in Vale is under control but the school. It's not that simple. That thing is still there don't get me wrong you did a number on it but it's not disappearing it's kinda just frozen which I know doesn't sound bad but it's still attracting Grimm to the school"

"I did what?"

"Right you kinda went unconscious after your whole thing" I rubbed the back of my head

"Ok soo when we saw what happened to Phyrra you sorta went crazy. You shot light from your eyes and then the dragon was stone"

"You really aren't good at explaining this" Qrow said from behind us

"Well sorry if I don't know why my girlfriend can do anything she did there" I said looking back at him

"Mind if the three of us have a minute" Qrow said to Tai

"What I can stay here"

"Tai. Please"

He got up and kissed her head "I'm just glad you're safe"

He then left. Qrow pulled up a chair "So how ya feeling?"

"I kind of hurt all over" she said

"That makes sense after what you did"

"You guys keep saying that I did something. That I did something to the dragon what are you talking about?"

"What's the last thing you remember"

"I ran up the side of the building with YN and we saw Phyrra" she gasped "Phyrra is she?!"

"She's gone" Qrow said

She started to cry "I saw Phyrra and Cinder then everything went white"

"That checks out" I said

"Anything else?" Qrow asked

"I remember my head hurting" she said wiping the her tears away

"The night you met Ozpin what was the first thing he said to you?"

"I don't know I-I think it was something about-"

"Silver eyes" Qrow finished

"That's an extremely rare trait"

"So?"

"You're special is what I mean. And not in the daddy loves his special angel kind of way. You're special the same way your mom was"

"Remnant is full of legends and stories some true some made up. But there's one that Oz told me from a very long time ago. Back before huntsmen back before kingdoms it was said those born with Silver eyes were destined to lead the life of a warrior. You see the Grimm the fiercest monsters mankind had ever encountered were afraid of those silver eyed warriors. They were the best of the best. It was said that one look from one of these fighters could strike a Grimm down. It's a ridiculous story"

"But you think I might be-"

"Heh a giant monster is currently frozen on top of Beacon tower and you're here safe in bed" he got up from his chair and walked over to the window

"Wait haw did you know what Ozpin said to me?"

"All those missions I go on. All those missions in far off places. It was for Ozpin. But he's missing right now. Something's been set in motion with Oz gone I have to pick up where he left off"

"And what can I do?" Ruby asked

I chuckled "That's the Ruby I know. Always seeking out her next adventure even when stuck in bed"

"But if I'm so special I can help right?"

"You really want to help. Get some rest. You're in no condition to fight right now. Besides our enemies tracks lead all the way to Haven that would be quite the trip for a pipsqueak and a half pint like you two" he said

"Catch you later kiddo" he said walking out

I chuckled and smiled at Ruby "We're going to Haven aren't we?" I sighed

She giggled and nodded "I'm-I'm gonna go check on Yang"

"You do that. She's gonna need it" I said walking out

Timeskip to Winter
Ruby quietly closed the front door to her house "I hope you know. Helping you sneak to Haven isn't gonna win me any popularity points with your dad"

"I know but it will with me" she said kissing my cheek

I rolled my eyes "Ready to go" Jaune said from behind us

"Yup"

"The trip to Haven is really long but I'm sure we can make it" Maple said

"You guys sure you wanna come?" Ruby said

"Of course we are" Jaune said

"Like Maple said the journey will be parolees and weather we find answers at the end is entirely uncertain" Ren said

"But we wouldn't be here if we weren't ready for it" Nora said

"Then let's get started" Ruby said

We started walking down the trail starting a long journey towards Haven

AN:And that ends RWBY Volume 3. I'm going to be ending it here for now for various reasons
1.This is where I wanted to end it when I first started writing this
2.I have other fanfic ideas I wanna work on
3.The main story I wanted to do with the character is done but there is something I can do if I keep this story going

What I'm going to do is write an epilogue now and then if I want to or lots of people want me to come back to this and write Volumes 4,5 and eventually 6. Then they will be in a book two)
