(AN:Well this took a lot longer than I wanted to get out so, Sorry about that. I usually like to get these out about two or three days after the previous part but the scheduling for life and this really got out of hand quick so Sorry again)

YN's POV
Me and Ruby were on our way up to Ozpin's Office to talk with him, Ironwood and Glynda. We eventually made it and it looked like Ironwood and Glynda were in a heated argument. I would make a joke about them being in love but with the two of them it would likely result in me being shot out the window and left to fall to my death. "Sorry it took so long someone accidentally hit all of the buttons on the way up here" I said glancing at Ruby

"It wasn't me" she said looking around the room nervously

"Thank you for coming you two how are you feeling?" Ozpin asked

"Ok I guess, I would feel better if my bad guy catching record wasn't 0-3" she said with a nervous chuckle

Nobody laughed "ok so that the tone were going for, Got it" I mumbled scratching the back of my neck

Ironwood walked up to the both of us "Ruby, YN I feel it is appropriate to let you know that I think what you two did last night is exactly what being a huntsman or huntress is all about. You recognized a threat, you took action and you did the best you could"

"Thank you sir" we said

"Now, The general here has already informed us of the events that transpired last night but now that you've rested we were wondering if you had anything to add" Ozpin said

"Was anyone with her?, Did she look familiar to you at all?" Glynda asked

Me and Ruby looked at each other "I...I don't know. She was wearing a mask and she never said anything to me but I know she fought with glass I don't think that was her semblance though her clothing lit up whenever she attacked" Ruby said

"Say for the glass that sounds like the women I fought the night we met Ruby" Glynda said

"Imbedding dust into clothing is an age old technique it could have been anyone" Ironwood added

I nodded "The only thing I can think to add is that she likely did what she went there to do before we got there because she didn't seem bothered by being interrupted and having to leave" I said

"That actually help more than you think YN. But the question still stands what did she do?" Ironwood said

"Wait? You think this girl could be connected to Torchwick and the White Fang?" Ruby said

"It's possible. But we still lack the required evidence to link the two together" Ozpin said

Me and Ruby gave each other a look and we smiled at each other then nodded "Actually I remember her saying something about a hideout or something in the south east just outside the kingdom" Ruby said

Ozpin smirked "Interesting"

"I thought you said the intruder never-" Glynda was interrupted by Ozpin

"Thank you for your cooperation Ruby and YN why don't you two go spend sometime with your team. You have a big day ahead of you" Ozpin said

"Anytime" Ruby said gleefully turning around as I followed

"And Mrs.Rose, Mr.LN, please try and be discreet about this matter" Ruby said as we walked back into the elevator

"Good thinking Rubes" I said as I kissed her on the cheek and she smiled

We walked back to the dorm holding hands like usual and as soon as we opened the door we were bombarded with questions from Yang, Weiss and Blake and Ruby let out an adorable nervous laugh. We eventually explained what had gone down and told the team about telling Ozpin about the south east White Fang base "That was a risky move" Weiss said folding her arms

"No I think you handled it well" Blake said

"I hope so" Ruby said looking down

"I'm sure everything will be all right Ruby...Oh! I know what will cheer you up!" Yang exclaimed

"What's that?" She asked turning around to look at Yang

"I don't know yet, Dad sent it to us, I thought we could open it up together" Yang said holding up a package

Ruby squealed and dashed over to Yang and climbed on her trying desperately to take the package from her as the bottom fell off and something in the shape of a cylinder slid out. The cylinder started shaking until it poofed into the shape of what looked like a small dog. We all leaned down to look at it and it barked twice leading to a series of different reactions. Ruby and Yang seemed excited as hell, Weiss looked annoyed and Blake jumped up onto Ruby's bed to hide. "Zwei!" Ruby yelled

"He sent a dog!?" Blake yelled

"In the mail!?" Weiss yelled as well

"Is that even legal!?" I asked

"Oh he does stuff like this all the time" Yang said like it was just a casual thing to send dogs through the post

"Your father or your dog?" Blake said returning to her hiding space on Ruby's bed

"Are you telling me that This Mangy" Weiss started and Ruby looked nervous I looked at Ruby and held up three fingers

"Drooling" I now held up two fingers as Ruby looked at me confused

"Mut" My fingers turned to one

"Is going to wive with us forevew" Weiss said and I smirked as I put down the last finger ending the countdown and smirking at Ruby

"Knew it" I said proudly as Weiss did weird baby talk to the dog

"Please keep it away from my belonging" Blake said noticeably tense

We then heard Glynda's voice over the speakers "Would all first year students please report to the amphitheatre"

"Well we can't exactly leave him her while we're gone for a week" Weiss said as Yang started to read a note that was also in the package

"Dear girls, I've got to leave the island for a few days so I'm sending Zwei for you to take care of. Enclosed is all the food you should need, Love Taiyang" she then turned the package upside down and cans upon cans of dog food fell out along

"What is he supposed to do with that? And how deep is that package?"Weiss asked

One can opener came out of the package

"I think we should abandon all logic at this point mate" I said crossing my arms

"Well that settles it, come on gang Zwei will be here when we get back" Yang said walking away

Weiss continued her weird baby talk as she walked by and Blake jumped off the bed onto a desk and made sure to be as far away from Zwei as possible. I was about to walk away but I noticed Ruby wasn't with us "You comin Rubes?" I asked

She looked up at me from looking at Zwei and gave me a devious smile "No, No, No A Thousand Times No!" I said realizing what she was implying

"Oh come on YN, Pleeeeeeaaaaasssseeee" She said holding my hands

"We can't take Zwei with us on a mission" I said

She pouted at me and looked at me with adorable eyes she knew I couldn't resist "Were not taking Zwei with us on a mission" I repeated

Timeskip to Amphitheater
So we're taking Zwei with us on a mission. I was weak I couldn't resist Ruby when she made that face and she knew I couldn't resist it. We walked into the amphitheater and Ruby was wearing a Beacon Academy backpack with Zwei in it. We met up with the rest of Team RWBY and Ozpin gave an speech and said we would be shadowing a huntsman. We proceeded to where we could select our job "This is perfect! All we have to do is shadow a huntsman in the south east" Ruby said

"Yeah! We'll follow them around by day and give them the slip by night" Yang said

"Let's check search and destroy" Weiss said

We made our way to the screens where we could enter what mission we wanted "Here we go! Quadrant 5 needs Grim cleared out" Ruby said

"Well it's in the south east" Blake said

"Sounds perfect!" Yang said enthusiastically

Ruby entered our team name and an error message popped up saying "Mission unavailable first year students" "Wonderful" Weiss said annoyed

"Any other ideas?" Blake said

"We mail ourselves there" Ruby said

"On any other day I would question that but thanks to your dog being shipped to Beacon from Patch. I'm gonna leave your logic alone" I said slightly rubbing my temple

Ozpin then walked up "Well that's still an option. Unfortunately we determined that the concentration of Grim was too extreme for first year students. It seems that particular region is quite popular in fact I have the sneaking suspicion the 5 of you will make your way there no matter which job you choose" he said as everyone glared at me and Ruby as we rubbed our necks nervously

"What ever makes you say that?" Ruby said trying to sound like she didn't know why

"I'm still curious as to how you all found yourselves at the docks last semester, I'm interested to learn how you really learned about a hideout in the south east and I certainly wonder why eye witnesses reported seeing robots and rose petals in a dance club sometime ago" Ozpin said and Ruby tried her best to think of an excuse for all of those things

"I doubt I'll ever find the exact answers I'm looking for. So how about this, instead of waiting for you all to break the rules why don't we just bend them a bit" as he tapped somethings on his scroll and the search and destroy mission opened up to us.

We all looked at each other before looking at Ozpin "We wont let you down! Thank you Professor" Ruby said confident

"Don't Thank me for this, Teamwork and persistence have carried you far but you must understand the things that await you on the other side of the kingdom will not care. Stay close to your huntsman at all times he will be leading you on this mission and he can have you sent back if he finds your skills to be unsatisfactory" he said and walked away

"Good luck" He said poking his head back towards us before leaving again

We all walked towards the airships in silence before Yang spoke "That wasn't exactly uplifting"

"But it's the truth" Blake said

"It's going to be tough but I know we can do it"

Then some random guy walked by us talking about how Team CFVY returned. There away mission was finally over and everyone walked up and started talking with Velvet. She brought up that there were so many Grim and that was why there mission took so long before she left. "We can do this we've never backed down and we're not going to start now" Ruby said

"Right" I said

"Besides it's not going to be just us out there we're going to be fighting alongside a genuine huntsman" Ruby said excited

"Yeah!" Yang said as we turned around and walked to the airship

We walked up and everyone froze as we saw which huntsman would be accompanying us "Why hello students, Who's ready to fight for their lives?!" Dr Obleck said enthusiastically

I leaned over to Yang "so on a scale of one to fucked how are we doing?" I asked

I took her deafening silence as a sign to say we're fucked

Timeskip to Airship ride
"I guess I never saw you as an actual fighter" Yang said as we looked out at the land below as it passed us by

"I admit I fancy myself more as an intellectual but as a huntsman I've been in my fair share of tussles" Obleck said with very quick hand movements

Ruby looked confused "Like the mushroom?"

"Those are Truffles" I responded leaning over to her

"Like the sprout?"

"Those are Brussels" Yang responded

"Besides given my work in the field of history as well as my dabblings in the archeological our dear headmaster saw it fit to assign me to this...Assignment" Obleck said

"What does history have to do with this?" Weiss asked

"Well what a preposterous question you silly girl, why history is the backbone of our very society. And the Liver... And the Kidneys too if I were to wager" Obleck said trailing off into thoughts

"And that means?" Weiss said waiting for an answer

"The southeast outside of Vale is home to wild forests and deep caves but it is also the location to one of the kingdoms greatest failures" Obleck said getting closer and closer to Weiss

"Mountain Glenn" Ruby said

"That's right it was an expansion of Vale. But in the end it got overrun by Grim and fenced off form the rest of the city" Yang said

"Correct! Now it stands abandoned as a dark reminder" Obleck said

"And a likely place for a hideout" Blake said

"Precisely" Obleck said excitedly

We eventually all dropped down into the city jumping off the airship onto a building with our weapons ready as Obleck just took another sip of his coffee. "Students! You may be just that but as of now your first official mission as huntsman has begun from this point forward you will have to do exactly what I say do you understand" Obleck said

"Ruby!" He said and she jumped in surprise

"I thought I told you to leave all your bags back at school" He continued

I looked at Ruby with a smirk wondering what excuse she would be able to pull out of her ass "Well you hadn't told us to listen to you yet. So I didn't" she said

"Nice one Rubes" I thought proud of her "She's not wrong" Obleck mumbles into his hand

"Very well Ruby leave your bag her we can pick it up upon our return" Obleck stated

"But I Uhhhh" Ruby said trying to formulate another excuse

"Young Lady! What could possibly be in that bag that is so important-" Obleck started but stopped as Zwei pushed his head out of Ruby's backpack

Everyone looked at Ruby and she whispered to Zwei "Get back in the bag"

"We are here to investigate an abandoned urban jungle teeming with death and hostility and you brought... a dog" Obleck said

"Ummm" Ruby was trying to think of something to say but was interrupted by Obleck

"Genius! K nines are historically known to have a perceptive nose and heightened sense of sound My their abilities useful for hunts such as ours" Obleck said spinning with Zwei in his arms

"What the fuck is this day?" I whispered

"I'm  a genius" Ruby said confidentiality as Weiss, Blake and Yang facepalmed

I sighed "You are so lucky right now Rubes" I said with a smile

"So what are your orders doctor" Blake said

"Ah yes straight to the chase I like it" Obleck said dropping Zwei

"As you have been informed the southeast has been has been marked as a local hot spot for Grim activity. Now there are several possible reasons for this behaviour one of which being Grim" Obleck said

"Uhhh What?" Ruby asked as we were all kinda confused

"A Creature of Grim approximately 100 yards from us at this very moment" Obleck said

We all turned around "What?!" Yang said

We all readied our weapons and pointed at the Grimm"Stop" Obleck said

"There are a number of reasons for Grimm to congregate in this particular area the most likely of which would be an attraction to negativity. Sadness, Envy, Loneliness, Hatred all qualities that are likely being carried by our hidden group hovering ill intent" Obleck stated

"Soo What now?" Ruby asked

"We wait, we track if this specimen leads us to its pack that pack may subsequently lead us to our prey" Obleck said

"How long do we wait?" Yang asked

"It is uncertain Hours, Days, Weeks, Why lone Grim have been know to stay isolated from the pack for months and there's the whole pack" Obleck said as the rest of the Grimms pack walked up behind it

"What?" Weiss said

"And now they've seen us" Obleck said

"What?" Weiss repeated

"AND NOW THEY'VE SEEN US!!!" Obleck yelled into Weiss' ear

"God! Well if they didn't see us before the definitely heard us" I said

"I take it tracking is out of the question" Ruby said

"An accurate assumption, yes" Obleck said

"So what's the plan then?!" Yang said

We all looked to Obleck and he looked at the Grimm then to the 5 of us "Show me what you can do" He said

We smirked and took of to the group of Grimm as Ruby told Zwei to cover his ears and started firing into the crowd of Grimm. I jumped into the middle of the group and sent a shockwave around my self pushing the Grimm into 5 groups. We each took one group as I ran up to my group and stabbed trough as Grimm with my right sword then fired two shotgun blasts at two Grimm as they came up to me. I used my semblance and shot the first Grimm off of my sword into its kin and charged at the group. I started slashing through as many as possible before turning to the final Grimm in my group and putting my rifle sword up to its head and firing one well placed shot into its skull. We all walked back up to Obleck "Heh, Piece of cake" Ruby said proud of our work

"Do not celebrate yet as I am certain this is the first bout of many shall we continue?" Obleck said

We continued killing Grimm and walking around the abandoned city pretty much the entire day at one point I found what looked like a run down shop and killed them all before Obleck came to Investigate with me "So Mr.LN Why do you want to be a huntsman? You seem to be easy going but the life of a huntsman is anything but easygoing" Obleck said

"Well there are people I love that I need to protect and someone I need to find this is the best way to kill two birds with one stone" I stated

"And once you find this person what's next?" He said

"Well I guess I want be able to protect the people I care about while helping others along the way. Even though I think they might be able to take care of them selves" I say as I look at Ruby dangling a cooked chicken over Zwei and I think of the girl Maple has matured into

"Intriguing" Obleck says

I smile at Ruby as me and Obleck walk up she quickly puts away her scythe and the food "Sorry! Uhhh are we ready to keep going?" She asked

"No I'm afraid that is going to have to be it for today. It's going to be dark soon. You four set up camp in that building oh and make sure that there are no more of those creatures. Your leader and I are going to go secure the perimeter come Ruby" Obleck said walking off

Me, Yang, Weiss and Blake shrugged and walked over to the building Obleck pointed to

(AN:As I was writing this the fanfic reached 1,000 reads which is amazing considering when I first started this fanfic I thought by the end of the first Volume it might get to 100 reads so thank you to the people who decided to take time out of their day to read my stupid shit)
