General taiyang Regnier de Jarjayes, despite being the Commander of the Royal Guards was a nervous wreck, as he paced back and forth in the room just outside his and his wife summer de jarjayes's room as he was waiting for news of the birth of his 6th child. when all of a sudden after an unknown amount of time passes, he hears a loud scream and then sounds of a baby crying.

Taiyang-thank God, a sound at last!!!!!!!

after a few secetons the family butler Nicholas Grandier comes out into the hallway where Taiyang is at, as Nicholas looks at him with a sad look in his eyes.

Nicholas-you have a beautiful new daughter my lord...but your wife, my beloved mistress, she...she has lefted us for a kinder place.

nicholas starts crying as taiyang has a look of both anger and grief on his face.

Taiyang-my wife will not give her life for so lowly a contribution as another daughter....the child you hold is ruby François de Jarjayes, but shall also be known as Oscar François de Jarjayes, heir to my commission as commander of the royal guard.

Nicholas-my lord please......

Taiyang-you will bring your orphaned granddaughter into our home Nicholas. in this house of lace and silence, my "son" will need a female companion.

then as soon as Taiyang says this he walks over to the door to his and his now dead wife's room as he then enters into the room as he shuts the door behind him.

February 1767

ruby, now 11 years old walks out of her dad's room with a sword in a scabbard, dressed in a white dress shirt, with black pants with knee high black leather boots. she then turns over to the main doorway to head outside where it is snowing.

ruby-Weiss!!!!!

ruby then runs up to where her best Frend is at, which was on top of a carege where the horses are hooked up.

Weiss-RUBY!!!

Weiss then hops off of the Coche wearing a black coat, with a white dress shirt, black pants, and black leather boots. and like ruby she is also holding a sword. then both ruby and Weiss start to take their swords out and start fencing. after a few secions Weiss then start to run but then falls down as ruby runs up to her as they start wrestling as Nicholas walks outside.

Nicholas-shame on you children, fighting on such a historic day. Weiss, ruby could frezz down there, do you know what day it is? the royal family has anousted the soon to be marriage of the dauphin to the princess of Austria, cinder Antoinette. they say she's dazzling as a sunbeam, 11 years old and beautiful as a jewel. it's the beginning of a new age, a golden age. the joining of the Habsburgs and the bourbons, peace.

Ruby-someday when she's queen, i shall guard her with my life.

Weiss-you will protect her ruby, and i will protect you.

as Weiss said this Weiss puts her arm over ruby's scolder. then after Weiss says this, ruby then starts to tickle her.

Nicholas-oh ruby, for shame, do you think the princess plays silly games like that? (As he says this ruby and Weiss start running away from him) she's the same age as you are, and she's already engaged to be married.

then ruby picks up her sword that she dropped as she and Weiss head somewhere.

Weiss-Ruby, wait for me!!!!!!!

then Ruby and Weiss then head inside the barn as Ruby sits down on an old rocking chair, when she throws her sword into some hay. then Weiss then lays down on a bale of hay as Ruby gets up from the rocking chair, as she then climes the short flite of stares. then when she gets up there, she then goes up to an old baby crib as she then grabs an old doll. then she hops down into the hay bale as she then lays down next to Weiss with the doll in her arms.

the narrator-in the carefree years the pasted, cinder Antoinette became queen of France. Nicholas grew a little more tired, and Ruby And Weiss grew up.

June 1775

the now 19-year-old ruby and Weiss then walks out of the tree lines, and they start fencing. after running around as well as fencing for a little bit, Nicholas then comes from the house.

Nicholas-Children, children, stop that now. your falter has something to say to you Ruby.

then Taiyang walks out and stands next to Nicholas.

Taiyang-playtime is over. you have been appointed to the queen's personal guard Oscar. your diligence training and my belief in you have be rewarded, my son.

ruby-thank you sir, i will do my best to uphold that belief.

Taiyang-(to Weiss) you know of course Weiss you won't be able to go with him. however, i have obtained work for you in the royal stables. well, what have you to say Weiss?

Weiss-nothing sir

Nicholas-Weiss, Rember your place and thank the General.

Weiss-thank you sir. i have dreamed of working in the stables sir.

Taiyang-That wasn't sarcasm was it girl?

Weiss-no sir

Taiyang-good, cuz this day marks a milestone in both your lives. from this day forerd you will assume responsibility for your different stations in life.

then Taiyang turns and leaves as Nicholas looks at them and shakes his head solely before he heads back inside. then ruby looks at Weiss and then turns and walks and then get behind Weiss.

Ruby-hey, (hits Weiss's arm) hey you, do i get a pat on the back or a smile? 

Weiss-congratulations ruby, your life has great meaning now.

Weiss then walks away from ruby as she then thought of one thing.

Ryby-(in her head) what has crawled up her ânesse? (French for ass)
