It became dark and Ruby looked over at Sapphire. She had managed to Fall asleep. Since Ruby's gem was broken they couldn't go to Garnet's room, so they slept on the couch. Ruby carefully stood up, trying not to wake Sapphire. She walked outside. She walked over to the water and sat down staring at the ocean. She looked at her hand, she carefully unwrapped the bandage around her gem. She sighed and said to herself "I don't see why Sapphire even likes me... she really shouldn't... I'm just wasting her time and breaking my gem. I'm really not worth her time. Everything is blurry... and none of the other gems know that if my gem is broken I might die..." Just then Ruby turned around and saw Sapphire surprisingly looking at Ruby. "Ruby, I-I- I had no idea..." Ruby mumbled to herself "Ugh... idiot..."
